So I m making my setting in which seas are impossible to sail because there are a lot of wildlife in the sea and because of that I m currently looking for the sea monsters. I need every kind you have from small ones to big ones. Also there is some magic in setting so it can have some magical properties.
I think that prehistoric creatures will do nice but post any sea monster you have.

Have you read the Fantasy Fishing thread?

Where I am from there's a tale about a sea giant called the Baloz I Zi that would come out of the ocean to steal cattle, kill men and steal women and was basically unstoppable, it's about 18ft tall dressed head to toe in black steel armor and rides a huge horse also dressed in armor. It wields a javelin, that it could throw up to 300 yards and and create a dust cloud 20 yards in diameter, and a razor sharp sword in the other hand. He also had a lance that "could transfixed all those in his path" wha never that means. He dies to the hero, Gjergj Eliz Alia due to fairy tale b.s. but he's pretty crazy menace till then

I mean you don't even really need 'monsters.' Think about all the real shit in the world that is scary as fuck. Schools of piranha could ruin anyone's day. Alligator Gar are scary af even if it's only anecdotal that they attack humans. Sharks. Humboldt Squid schools that blacken the ocean. Orca pods that play with their prey for hours. Inescapably large schools of stinging jellyfish.

What is the fantasy fishing thread?
Sea monsters are real things.

First thing I found while searching for an image. And it might be more of a swamp monster.
Well this thread did not went according to my plan so I will bump it with some creatures that would work nice.

None of those are a threat to ships. They'd suck if you were swimming and some could knock over a tiny boat, but really, if you're overboard/canoeing in the middle of the ocean you're kinda fucked no matter what lives there.
Bobbit worm hydra.
Big mantis shrimp.
I like pirate campaigns but I have thassilaphobia and sea monster encounters always creep me out.

I m doing the state it is fucked up. Like ocean and sea is so fucked up, that humanity and any other race were not able to sail on it at any point in time. It is domain of youngest god/demigod while 2 twin brothers gods/demigods fight for total domain on land.

I'm thinking of basing one of my own sea monsters on the Giant Oarfish. I would make it larger than the real thing and a portent for some kind of big natural event.
>Razorfins
Large schools of powerful swimmers, each no larger than two hands. The tips of their scales and particularly their ventral fins grow into edges sharper than any blade which badly harm any skin they come in contact with and have been rumored to wear down even ships' hulls over days of frenzied barrage.
>Black kelp
Large fields of buoyant dark leaved bog weed adapted to salt water which linger just under the surface and can only be spotted from directly above. The sticky tendrils attack to anything and corrode it with acidic ooze. After a few days the generation dies and drags anything attached to the bottom, making way for young plants.
>Death shells
Indestructible shelled surface feeders that will procreate and cover an entire hull within a few years once contaminated. This drags down the ship and eventually will pull it under, although that can take decades. There is no known way to remove them without destroying the hull. Understandably this means contaminated ships are banned from harbors and often sunk in a deep place on general principle.

Cephalopods got pretty big in the past.
Ammonites can get up to 2m diameter sheels and Endoceras was a nautiloid that got shells up to 3m so living creature was probably 5 or 6m long.
Xiphactinus is always fun as are pliosaurs

I like sea dragons. They can fly almost as well as they can swim. They have lightning breath. Imagine something like that attacking a large ship during a storm, swooping down, bolting the sails, diving under, then coming up to finish the crew.
