Ok how did you guys do?
Any cards/combos catch your eye?

It was my first irl magic event, I had fun

>How much money do you spend on magic?????
$10,706.83 since 2012. Mind you, $5,846.00 of that was on singles.

wow, how much have you won?
>show up at noon
>we have ten players
>nah, just kidding
>we have nine players and one douchebag who picks up his prerelease thing, checks out his promo, shrugs, and leaves
>due to the shortage of players, we do three rounds then go to top four
That reminds me, how are byes supposed to play into the results? Because all three players that got byes ended up in the top four
>go 2-1
>have an awesome final round
>oh man, surely being 2-1 puts me in the money
>lolnope
Oh well.
That said, at the beginning of the event I gave up on life as a whole and want to die.
>guy sitting next to me opens his kit
>promo Arlinn
>two packs in he gets a Jace
>last pack has an Arlinn
Kill me.
>just picked up Magic a week ago
>local card shop does prerelease for 25 bucks
>babby's first tourney
>could be fun
>pull this right off the bat
How good did I do? Probably gonna keep it.
this baby did WORK tonight!
recc'ing blue/green clue tokens, really cleaned up tonight.

everyone gets a promo buddy, you aren't special.
My favorite combo in this set. Trying to build a casual deck around it
I've done 3 prerelease events this weekend
WGB Humans, pulled a Sorin, went 0-3 and my opponent left for a "win" to make it 1-3.
GR werewolves. Slayer's Plate and True Faith Censer made any creature a huge threat. Went 1-3, getting mana screwed in both games for rounds 3 and 4.
WU spirits. Invocation of Saint Traft got me 2-2. Every other card I pulled was garbage.
I met a couple cool people there though, and want to go again tomorrow just to exchange contact info. Not sure if I have it in me though.

I'd wager he is actually, just for different reason.
>>46427101
I'd hold onto that- that's pretty good. It's a unique card to have in foil.
>>46428451
Um, why are the entry numbers different on the tamiyo journals. These are mine
>>46428718
Oh wow thats really neat

4-0
Just moved to a new area and completely destroyed everyone with a BR vampire deck.
>Any cards/combos catch your eye?
I didn't see anything really "combo" related but I did win my final match with a merciless resolve. He was at 4 life and I swung in with a 4/1 a 5/2 and a 3/3. He blocked the 5/2 with a 1/2 and grotesque mutation-ed it twice to make it a 7/4 with lifelink. I popped merciless resolve and saced the 5/2 demon for game.
>How much money do you spend on magic?????
Like in total? I buy the odd single and I play every prerelease. I draft when I have some money but that's it.
>>46428718
Its probably some ARG for the next set. Remember what they did for conspiracy?
>>46428947
So does anyone have any idea what it means?
>>46428973
Nope. Most defiantly related to the clues though. There's just so many versions of the damn card.
>>46428718
Fucking shining reference
Fuck yeah
I pulled a decent pool to go with Relentless Dead and Diregraf Collosus and then preceded too draw more than 60% land for almost all my games.
Best combo was relentless dead and Collosus cycling. The other one was a r/g werewolves who almost got a game when he buffed a dude into a 15/12 double-strike trample.
Went to my noon prerelease. Made a BR Madness deck with a splash of blue for a Startled Awake. I lost my first round, fixed my deck a little and come out on top for the next two rounds and lost my last round. Highlights included having two Sin Prodders out while all my opponent could do is groan in frustration and Geistblasting the Startled Awake to make a dude mill 26 cards. Even though I only went 2-2 I had a lot of fun and I'm happy with my pulls.
