I've been wanting to recreate the feel of a event in a game I played about a decade ago. It was the first time that I actually felt terror in a RP.
The scene is my character (who is a pretty smart girl) was checking on a tip about someone who had been kidnapping college girls. The reports always say there was an odd smell left behind. Something that suggested to my character some sort of gas or chemical was used to KO said women.
So my girl goes in wearing a rain poncho, gas mask, a drysuit under said poncho, and a pair of boots and rubber gloves, all taped up to investigate.
What she doesn't realize was the gas wasn't something used... it was being put off by some*thing*...
The view I'm wanting is the viewer seeing the look of stark terror on her face as she sees what is behind you... trembling with a flashlight in hand...
She herself is wearing what's described above, wears glasses, has freckles on a fair complexion.

"Good morning, Drawfriends, it's been a while. I can't sleep so I figured I'd try my hand throwing out a request, if it pleases you, because who doesn't like a little early morning Venereal Horror?
This one I'm having a tough time with, can't quite wrap my own head around it, so was hoping maybe someone with some talent could put form to my ramblings. What I'm asking for is a picture of one of the Big Bads for a campaign I'm running, going to try my best to give a good description, but please try to bear with me.
She's a tall, lithe figure with grotesque proportions. With arms too long and fingers with an unsettling number of joints, she carries herself with an air of royalty. Her "skin" resembles that of bleached bone, cracked and worn, segmented at the joints and midsection. Thin, sinewy wormlike musculature can be seen where her skin parts and writhes with her every move, as if under some control other than her own. Adorning her head, an absolutely massive bonelike plate rises above her, its bottom obscuring the top of her face as it fuses to the structures beneath. She wears this as one would a crown, taking pride in it as befitting her station.
That's the best I can come up with, if you can make sense of it, have at it. I guess it would be a mashing of features akin to those in the reference, but you can take some liberties where you see fit. I'd like her to be unsettling, yet still have an air of royalty and femininity... I know, easier said than done.

Last thread was my edition, but didn't have anything finished in time. even this is just a part of a larger incomplete piece that I can't post here.

I'd like to request a character of mine: she's a shapeshifter with dissociative identity disorder, who's main 'form' is a romanticised 'dream girl' sort of situation.
The real girl is a 20-something French shut-in, shorter than average with a medium build - pretty, but in a generic/bland way. She wears muted colours and baggy clothing, namely an old hoodie with a faded band logo on the front. She looks quite tired - stooped shoulders, deep bags under her eyes, etc - with her hair worn in a messy ponytail, maybe with a couple loose strands hanging over her face.
The alternate identity is rather the opposite, standing head and shoulders above the real and looking energetic and vibrant. This one should be wearing something like a tank-top and skinny-jeans, showing off her well-defined physique and 'idealised' proportions. Her features are overly beautiful and distinctive, sharing little in common with the real identity. Hair would be something trendy like an undercutThe overall style I'm going for her is a sort of Pink (the singer) meets frat-boy clubber meets shapeshifting demi-god, so take that as you will. The alternate identity should be leaning over the real, resting her arms on the real's shoulders and grinning.
Despite the glut of words, I don't have a totally distinct image in mind, so go nuts with the liberties as long as it's "tired nerdy girl overshadowed by beautiful amazonian figure". If you draw a shadow, I'd be grateful if you could alter it to look slightly off-putting, like it's not quite the right shadow or with 'eyes' or what have you.

I'd appreciate some character art for a Pathfinder PC, an Aasimar Oracle with Clouded Vision. He's a tall, thin, short haired blond prettyboy, with a serene manner and his eyes always closed. He wields a quarterstaff/walking staff/piece of wood he picked up, and is dressed in what used to be a traveller's outfit but has become a motley of vaguely Middle Eastern garb robes and such as he's wandered into Katapesh.
Basically if a genderswapped version of the Aasimar in the attached image was dressed by a whirlwind that'd just passed through the wardrobe of an Otoyomegatari character. And had closed eyes.
Just shoulders up would be fine, if the clothes are too much bother.

I know there is a stigma against group shots, so this one will be as straightforward as possible.
I would like something with a similar vibe as pic related, but with the large face in the back being his face instead(I apologize for the crummy face shots, it's the best I could find without straight up asking him for self shots). You can have as much detail or as little to the characters in the front, even if you want to make them indeterminate silhouettes. But for anyone who'd want to get detailed, our party includes a Tiefling warlock, Human paladin, Moon Elf bard, Changeling wizard (shaped like an anthropomorphic frog), and a Warforged fighter. Like I said, be as detailed or not as you'd like, the main important detail is just that there's his face in the back and that there are bodies in the front doing whatever.

I'm going to be playing a Kitsune Fighter in my next campaign. I'd like for her to be human-looking with pale skin, and fox ears/tail (non of that furry Zootopia business). Her ears, hair, and tail would be black with a white tip at the end of the tail. She would be wearing a similar outfit to Korra, showing off her muscle defined arms. I'd like the exposed skin of her arms/shoulders to be really scarred up. She would be wielding a pair of bastard swords as shown.

Clothing would be simple under-armour stuff, light cloth shirt and pants, that show how crippled he's become. On a related not, his left arm would be covered in runes of resist magic tattoed onto it, hiding burn scars on the forearm.
He'd also have a tiny black rock tied around his neck, a shard of a meteorite.Also if you really want to, there'd be a small girl made entirely of mercury trying to comfort him too, hands bound in chains and hair tied in two pigtails, she'd be about the size of a gnome. Not really. Once you wrap your head around point perspectives and it clicks, backgrounds like that turn into paint by numbers. just make sure the lines go to the right points and there's zero thought involved, just brainless measuring.

You know, maybe you could help me with a character of mine.
The first thing people notice about Clara is well. She's tall, she's quite tall. In fact she's 6'3 and built well. One might say like an amazon. As she's muscular in the way not that she's built like a tank. But in the way of someone who swims, fights, and dances. She's also well endowed. But one wouldn't normally notice that as she wraps her bust when on combat operations.
Her hair is a very beautiful bright silver, with flecks of what seems to be gold running throughout it. And her good eye is the brightest blue. A combination of the sky, and glaciers. She covers her other with a eye patch. Though she's been wanting a new eye for some time now. Her body is covered in tattoos, most of which are in ancient norse(?) and show images of great battles, dragons and all manner of interesting things. Her left arm is a bare metal replacement, that she's glad works like her old one used to.
Her preferred sense of fashion is whatever will keep her cool, or warm. And she's spent what one would call too much time in the military as her sense of shame has gone somewhat. When on operation she prefers to dress like a private contractor, and her sleeves interestingly enough have a american flag, and a flag of the empire of prussia on them.

Requesting a shadowrun elf who's ostensibly the sanest and moral center of the group in addition to being the youngest. She looks a bit like Dredd's Anderson except her hair is a different, dyed color and styled so that her ears are showing, and her outfit is similar to pic related with the parka/skirt combo and goggles being the most important elements. She has the pictured rune tattooed on her left forearm in such a way that if she puts her hands up, the person she's facing would be able to read it as is. Optional is her revolver in hand and a cigarette in her mouth, and her expression is either that of reluctant acceptance or what you'd imagine someone's face to look like if they found out someone had tattooed them in their sleep without permission and were confronting them. Greetings drawfriends! I was hoping one of y'all would be able to draw my character for a D&D game? She's a human wizard named Astronima that specializes in time magic and clockwork magic.
Her body type and clothing is similar in to the reference picture (yes this is a fantasy setting and that picture isn't fantasy, long story), but she has straight, shoulder-length blonde hair, green eyes, and has no scars. Instead of a wrench, she is carrying her spellbook, which is titled "Astronima's Spacetime Juju".
Not picky on stuff like poses, but she always seems to have a cocky grin on her face. That's really about it.
Was hoping to get my test pilot done. She's standing on the deck of the carrier she's working from sopping wet after an engine failure. She's wearing flight kit in the example pic on the left, with her LPU deployed like on the right, she's holding herself looking slightly cold, but quite pissed at whoever messed up on their maintenance rolls, and plans to take it out on 'em by tossing them overboard... if she manages to find the unlucky bastard.
She's got shoulder length black hair, asian, and has some freckles.

Your line weight variance is good, put thicker lines where shadows would be found, thinner lines where the light hits or something is squished together. Folds in the clothes seem a bit random and out of place, placing them correctly can give some depth. Face is off center and the missing eye throws it off, try placing the hair closer to the nose and curve it more inward.

As an artist I gotta tell you that Icon design is a very finicky practice. This sector in Graphical Design is one of the most abused practices by big corporations so a lot of artists are immediately on their guard when they read something like this.

You want a graphic designer, not an artist.
There's a marked difference between just hiring for the art than getting the whole process.
If you go to a small design firm the price should be better than the norm, but if you go to an artist you'll need someone with actual design experience otherwise you'll get a logo design that you CAN'T use without it looking even the slightest bit shabby in real life application.source: I'm a design undergrad. You need at least the .tiff, .ai file with the minimum of at least 300dpi for prints, and just artists aren't bound to follow that. It'll cause you a LOT more problems in the future if you cut corners here.

Kinda of like a mix of innawoods and shwigs older stuff.
But I wonder what is more accessible and what is more preferred.
Would peeps prefer Isometric stuff, Straight up Sidescroller-2D, Top Down? Top-down 2D-ish?
Would you rather have hand-painted stuff with anti-alias lines and shading or have a Binary Tool style thing going on where it's easier for people to just bucket tool at it and customize their own colors n stuff?

on top of the solid information everyone else is providing. You need to know and understand that if you pay someone to draw you something you get the picture but they own the image, if you want to use that drawing for anything commercial ESPECIALLY a logo, you also need to buy the rights to that image, for which you should expect to pay, and be happy to pay, a significant amount more than you would for just a commission. It's the same thing that means you can buy a DVD but you don't have the right to distribute that DVD.
Sure you could scam some artist into doing it on the cheap, but if you use that design on your store then they can (and should) come after you for it. And for the record, no it's not that fucking expensive, you just have a shitty mentality towards art and design. If you think the face of your business is worth what you can beg out of a drawthread (and have no right to use, remember) or 60$ from some young artist, then you should be opening a lemonade stand, not a big boy store.

It's a big carrack, 3 masts, roughly 40m long and 15m wide, looking like a swimming castle. The sails are scarlet and the ship's rail displays the heraldry of the members. It's armed with ballistas and torsion artillery of various sizes.

I didn't give much thought to the heraldry to be honest. The order is still very small and not as established as I hope it'll be at the end of the campaign.
The grandmaster is known as the Seawolf of Tobria, and his most trusted officer is called Sir Mullet, both because of his heraldry (a yellow mullet on blue) and his haircut.
Other than those you're free to draw whatever heraldry you like.

I posted a similar request to this (with different characters) about two days ago and got an absolutely wonderful delivery. I don't mind if this one is picked up by the same artist, a new artist or no artist at all on account of already having had my fill, I thought I'd try my luck regardless:
I would love for someone to draw these three close-up faces in their own style. I understand that three faces is a tall order, so feel free to take a clean/minimalist approach to the facial details, a bit like the 'persona eyes' images.
I'm also quite interested to see the results of a near-blind adaptation of their appearance, so don't worry about any additional details. Go wild. Or as wild as a drawing of this scale permits, at least. Thank you in advance.

Hey guys, I'd like a picture of this girl mid way into turning into a dragon, looking really pissed off while she does it.
the horns sprouting out of her head look like those of a bull, and are obsidian black. Her hands are curled up, like she's about to punch or rip something to shreds, with similarly black claws ripping through her fingers like paper. The scales sprouting along her face, arm and legs are a vibrant, emerald green.
Her face is a horrifying mix of dragon and human, being about a quarter of the way through the shift, with fangs and teeth standing side by side as her mouth and jaw start to stretch and break themselves to accommodate the fangs and turn into a dragon's snout. And flames and acid like the fire on her hands is dripping and flowing out of the corners of her mouth
Her hair has grown longer and is starting to sizzle away into nothingness at the end. The wings that have sprouted out of her spine are tattered like her robes and cloak, and are spreading apart, stretching themselves to get ready for flight.
Finally the begins of a tail curl around her, almost defensively, and her eyes looking like a mix of reptilian eyes and fire forced into the form of one

yeah, i used to think that about the sword too, the cuts are quite gruesome if you are cutting something that stands still, but don't penetrate so deep in the flesh (it's the same difference between a serrated knife and a plain one) but when you stab someone with it the sword will probably carve his guts out

Boris the Boar has one skill, disguise, he has all his ranks in it and feats to improve it, giving him a +19 to disguise right now.
