Everyone is currently level 3 and the new player would also be level 3. We would like to avoid the quadratic spellcaster problem if possible, though the players have made noises about maybe wanting a healer of some kind. This campaign is heavy on RP with some combat mixed in.

I like playing games that are somewhat more open-ended as far as character creation goes. I don't mean "here's my totally made up, fan race that has dragon scales and lich magic and can at will kill anything" kinda shit. I usually play under-powered or unusual races (played a mimic once) because I only roll characters that're fun. Also I might be starting a D&D group soon, so I might not be available weekends at all.
