We are a chapter founded to serve as a Standing force in a Sector/subsector that needed one or just had none. Founded in the 32nd millenium, making us quite an old chapter by now, we are founded from the Gene seed of the Iron Hands but it is not quite pure and has... well, we lack either the black carapace or progenoids(I imagine this is somewhat recent, but who knows), we are merciless much like our progenitor. Our figure of legend was/is a chief Librarian and the bane of orks(we can re-roll this if it is too boring), we are based on a hiveworld with a temperate climate which we have a distant relationship with.

No Librarians, but they do have a lot of Psykers. Rather than being sent to the Libarium for training, they are trained on the chapter's homeworld. Specializing in directly combat related powers, notably the ability to amplify they and their allies physical attacks, they aren't deployed as specialists but as Squad leaders or captains. Instead of being being distrusted or avoided by their brother Astartes, they are shining beacons, a light against the darkness of the Imperiums foes that they rally behind. Spearheading charges or supporting from behind, these Titans as they are called are central to the chapter forming it's spiritual and tactical heart.

It's certainly not sorcery, and can trace it's roots back to the earlier Librarians of the chapter, so it's not too far from how Libarians normally function mechanically. It's just their role in the chapter, their slightly higher number, and the fact they don't paint their armour blue. Other than that, essentially just Librarians with a few special tricks.

True. I'm just stealing all my inspiration from Destiny anyway. So it would probably be more esoteric than most of the Imperium is comfortable with.
That said, they're pretty distant with their homeworld, and probably don't travel far if we're going with what was said earlier about them being defenders. So maybe people just don't realize. They're not secretive per se, they just keep to themselves and only come down from on high to wreck face when people threaten their worlds.

Well... actually Khornates hate MAGIC more than psykers(yes even in 40k) after all, azariah Kyras became a DAEOMON prince of Khorne and he was a librarian. Psychic power is ok with them, just not magic and sorcerey, though we use a mix of both I believe? Similar to the Space wolves? So, it depends on the ratio

Also, I think we should name the planet Arteris Prime, as a Hive world it is mineral rich, but the surface of the world is dangerous to live on due to the aggresive and deadly fauna sso the hives are built underground(also giving them easy access to the planets minerals) that is my suggestion
