i talked about those in the general i think, but here's my special snowflakes

>mining earth like planet during the dark age of technology, after the age of strife hits the planet enters a ice age, the oceans retire turning the continents into huge mountain chains
>after few millenia of nothing intresting, a branch of a martian expeditions, few ships detached from the main fleet for a warp jump mishap and arrived there instead, fnding a rather small civilization that still retained some of the pre age of strife tech
>the admech colonize the low populated world, creating huge industry complexes and helping the old hive cities expand (the planet has two major hives, the first being Tarpea, a huge hive carved inside the biggest mountain and spanning several km undeground
>the planet does not have lots of resources, most being used during the dark age of tech, but still the alpine landscape becomes heavy industrialzed, space stations are created and one of its three moons is colonized
>treaty of mars, the planet becomes part of the imperium and no one cares because its a rather useless frozen rock
>the government is similiar to the republican rome, with the difference of having a Rex from the admech or some other guy still under the mechanicus acting as planetary governor to mediate with the imperium and the admech
>most of the population follows the machine god cult

While these aren't really much of my guys, my Necrons are a force underneath Trazyn consisting of Crons from a few different dynasties that he decided to "borrow" to decorate his army and a few weird members for his royal court such as a flayed one lord and a cryptek riding scarabs.
So far, for the army that will actually be "my guys", as I haven't been able to do much with them other than planning and testing with spare bases, mostly since my large break between doing modeling made me screw up priming my first few units so I just stopped myself and am stripping them now before I do anything else, all I could think of so far was Scions from an ice world in white and gold clothing. Not sure about much else yet.

Also, should I put a glacial or snowy with a bit of dirt looking base on my scions? I can't really decide as I like them both. Posting the snowy base in the next one.

you could use both, one of my armies has a urban mixed with mud and they work well.

I had 20 guardsmen and 2 sentinels tie up a 5 man group of wolf terminators and a wolf terminator hero with throwing hammer, for 5 turns. By turn 5 only the throwing hammer guy and my sentinels were left, but I protected my tanks so I call this a win.

Looking back either I was extremely lucky or both me and my opponent failed to understand the rules.

I'm thinking of having them do things like focusing on hating deldar or nids because that's what I have to face all the time on table with my friends, and maybe try to make their commissar a bit likable but I have no clue yet, those are all just ideas I've been tossing around for a while.

My dudes are vietnam in space.
Mix of lots of guard pieces. Also includes little M16s, M60s, grenade launchers, LAWs and other shit made by fucking up lots of other guns and gluing them into M16 frankenguns. Platoon sizes and shit are like vietnam. The sad thing is that there are no hueys.
