What's the theme of the setting, the title of it? Shadowrunner comes from Shadowrun as a title drop, you could use a similar theme.

Well, Shadowrunner has an obvious meaning. They run the shadows (metaphorically and actually).
It wouldn't be hard to think of something similar for Space Mercs. Starhunters, Voidkillers, Astral Dogs (as in dogs of war), etc.
