Hello /tg/,
what VTT do you use and why?
I use roll20.ne because it is easier to use for everyone in the group and doesn't require any software, but now our group is fed up with the bad dice roller it has. You constantly get a row of low rolls or high rolls. Just a string of five or more. So if you rolled high, get ready for more high rolls.

It's a random number generator, anon. Your group is assigning blame to a random number generator for what is ultimately just bad luck.

I think you don't use roll20.net, because if you do, I think you would notice how their 'random' number generator isn't exactly 'random'.

I only played board games on it, so I don't know does it have all the stuff that it needs for all the millions of systems that are out there, or can one just hack ruleset or whatever else is needed for it to work.

Vassal can be adapted for RPGs and shit, I've seen people play WH40K on it.

Roll20 is good. I've been experimenting with Tabletop Simulator, but one huge hurdle is that everyone needs a copy of the software to play. IRC with a dicebot or a chat service like Chatzy can work, but they don't have map software and Roll20 is just as free, so I don't know why you'd settle.

You're applying causation to random events anon. In fact their rolls are slightly above average

Plus I can recount tons of times I rolled under 8 on a d20 all session in real life. It happens sometimes.
