actually this seems like the thread to ask this, so i'm trying to make a super edge lord for a friend's campaign, this is supposed to be a goofy E6 campaign where all the pc's rolled on a few charts for personality and some traits. I got a literal edgelord that comes with a troubled past and a wolf companion, anyone want to help me flesh the character out? We're using dnd 3.5 and are restricted to only humans, other than that everything is fair game also we're using point buy 32, I'm thinking about just going straight ninja but i'm not sure what kind of fun things you can do with that.

Oh i'm already packed up with long slivery white hair, blood red eyes with a scar over my left, my wolf is one of a kind with pitch black fur and matching scar over his eye. I'm making sure to obnoxiously hit all the tropes and make sure that there's always a dark corner of a bar to sit in and brood.

Love it, i'm going to add in that some how the blood from the carcass stained his eyes red and tainted his soul with murderlust. Maybe as a last test the groundskeeper wanted Edgelord to kill this sickly direwolf pup to cement his training but instead he killed the groundskeeper and fed him to the pup, to get revenge on the obviously abusive groundskeeper?

I dunno if this counts but there was this one character I was playing with.
An evil elven evocationist that took sin specialist (wrath). Later on she advanced into a custom prestige class called Scion of Wrath. Their quest was to not only become the Runelord of Wrath but to become a living embodiment of Wrath. They had even attained a demigod status and they even had a religion as they were able to grant domain spells of destruction, war, evil, runes and travel.
This prestige class did some gnarly stuff at least visually.

All of them. We were very competitive and we werent happy if we didnt backstab each other. The format of the game helped, many players playing the same campaign at different times.

other than that i've never really seen any edgelords about in tabletop
freeform roleplaying, however, oh fucking boy.
Right now i am playing a campaign that was supposed to have an "all-evil party".
The only evil character is DMPC - a lawful good little elven girl with a chaotic evil demon sealed inside her(the fucking asshole is useful in fights but all attacks are AOE flames, and he doesn't care about the rest of the party)
During the last session, all those neutral(and on chaotic neutral) characters remembered that they were supposed to be evil... we started taking body parts of enemies as trophies(i plan to make a mug out of a Tiefling's horn), torturing them for fun, and shitting in their mouths after they die.
A gestalt PF game I'm currently in is kind of edgy.
>NE warlock (ported from 3.5) who summons ravens out of pure shadow to devour enemies
>Half-orc fighter who will slaughter children if it means getting paid
>barbarian who is all bloodlust all the time
>NPC who uses shadow clones and bladed whips to go full Nothin Personnel Kid on our enemies the first time he appears in the campaign
>campaign itself is about deposing the gods from their thrones and establishing universal atheism
even my character (rogue/mesmerist who uses shadow magic) is kind of edgy at first glance, except she has a code against killing and thinks most of the people she's traveling with are crazy idiots. She just wants to rob people, but destiny keeps making her fight gods.
the monk and a sorceress who is a new arrival are the only ones she thinks might be trustworthy, and she isn't sure about the sorceress

What else can we do? I'm thinking about taking some feats and dumping skill points into crafting skills as well as talking to the dm about making an experimental hand gun that only I know how to use ie. it has a sort of kill switch mechanism that if you do it wrong it blows up in your hand.
