Hey guys, the fellow working on a magical school CYOA here. The intro and houses are "done", meaning I have no real changes planned, but they're still available for critique and feedback and may be changed as necessary. The classes are in a similar state, in terms of the options and what they do, but I haven't yet written them out as complete sentences and made the wording pretty. Green lantern rings do have a kill function that's locked away by the guardians who have unlocked it in the past when needed, such as iirc the sinestro war. Also implanting a ring into your body doesn't give you infinite charges as the Alpha Lanterns had actual lantern batteries implanted into their bodies for immediate access.
Kyle Rainer when he got his ring from Ganthet actually had access to the main power battery and later became one with the Will Entity Ion, which basically made him a godling.
That being said the ring is capable of changing things on a molecular level in some of the comics. Most lanterns don't seem to know that though.

So I've increased my strength to superhuman levels, and on top of that I have a cybernetic arm that multiplies it by three. On top of THAT I also have super speed (twice over), further multiplying my force as well as allowing me to attack more often, and I have the stamina to keep going and the skill to back it all up.
I don't bother with ranged weapons, because they don't really benefit from my strength and speed. Of course I can close with a target so fast that it shouldn't matter anyway.

Figure out what the CYOA is going to be about. Star Wars is a huge universe with a multitude of different backgrounds available, so a general "This is Star Wars" CYOA will either be sorely lacking or extremely large. Narrow it down pretty well. Another thing to keep in mind is that having an option in a CYOA implies that it matters and there is a reason to pick it. Force users in Star Wars tend to blow up "balance", but if you want to include that as an option you're going to have to try, otherwise "there's no reason to pick anything else."
Other than that, if you're looking for regular CYOA making advice, check the pastebin and various archives. Depending on the program you decide to use, there are guides to help you get a feel to making the CYOA, and there's notes by a CYOA author on their design process.
But mostly you're just going to have to actually do it.

Okay, after agonizing it over most of the day, I think I finally figured out a system which lets you have awesome descendants without overrunning the world with mini-gods. Essentially there are now two sets of inheritable powers, the relatively weaker ones that you can purchase for ALL of your descendants (which correspond precisely with the powers that can be purchased for all members of the species in the DLC), and more powerful abilities, which only a limited number of your descendants can have at any one time.
If you choose the latter option, the fun part is you can choose which descendants get the powers, such as setting trials to earn them, or just personally granting them to whichever descendants you deem worthy.
There is a similar option if you wish to be able to grant powers to great heroes without them being similarly descended from you.
To make things as simple as possible, the Level 0 powers are now the ones that can be potentially granted to entire species.
Some changes were made to the physical powers. For example, Impervious goes up to level 4, now, which is the only way I could keep balance without making people who want to tank bombs very, very sad. It costs 16 points! BUT, you now have 110 points to build with. The highest level of Impervious is the single most powerful ability, so it should be the most costly. Given the new point limit, there is no build I have seen yet, barring the insane Diet-2-flood-the-universe-with-bodies build that cannot be reproduced in this new version. So, no whining, please.
A new drawback was added, as well as "Binding" magic, and some other small changes. ALL changes I made for this version are marked with blue text, so it will be easy to see what is different.
I sincerely hope that I will not have to make any more significant alterations to this. I really do. I hope it satisfies.
