Who /never played a tabletop RPG/ here?
Not me. I love getting together with my friends and playing RPGs.
I DM games IRL once in a while, but I don't do it as often as I'd like and I've only gotten to be a player like four or five times tops over the six or so years I've been into ttrpg..
This isn't /lit/, boy. We do than just shitpost here.

I wouldn't.
Anyone who can't relate to other socially awkward nerds is to be shunned. He could easily be Tha/tg/uy. There are a decent number of them lurking here.
I haven't yet, but I've begun lurking here because I'm going to join one with a few friends next semester.

Remember:
Bring your own dice if you can
Try to read most of the setting rules and some lore beforehand
Try to make a character that doesn't stand directly opposite to what the party does.
and ALWAYS use coasters

I started browsing /tg/ before I ever played a tabletop RPG, but I was very interested in doing so.
That said, I was never a feelsfag.

I never used coasters and nothing happened to my table

>confessions
Honestly? I hate a good 80% of this community. It is almost as if people come on here to purposefully be retarded. I question whether they even give a shit about the hobby.
I've never played but i'm really interested in but i don't want to play with assholes and i got social anxiety and never roleplayed before.
i mostly just hang out here for the fantasy/sci-fi art and lore.

Do you have any friends or family IRL who would be willing to play?
>>48238946
Yeah, casual shit like Settlers of Catan works great with normie families, fampai.

I've never played, only DM-d four times and my group fell apart.
