I'd love Greed/Envy 2, the one where you can buy and sell attributes like "health" and "height", but sloth 2 is so comfy with the greed bonus
Or maybe it's not Sloth, the one where you can walk into somebody's house and they have to serve you.

> 0.5 Changelog

* Artistic Prodigy mental boon added
* 'Beauty' clarified
* "Blessed One" white-mage ish power added. May have too much overlay with Spirit Singer; considering whether it will stay.
* Five Quest Additions: The Federation, The Historian, Technophobe, An Empire Eternal, Myth Maker
* Six new drawbacks: Tower of Babel, Nemesis, Cursed by the Spirits, Betrayal, Skin of the Outsider, Supporting Cast.
* 40 point total drawback limit added.
* Language on some quests changed to be more "neutral"
* Several quests can now be completed before present day is reached if you meet all the conditions. The Historian and Technophobe are exceptions.
* Two quests may be chosen. Quests now reward 10 points worth of benefits, rather than 5.

The Federation provides a technology-based quest for those who do not like the idea of AI. The Historian provides one for any anons who prefer to be observers.

Many new drawbacks to choose from.

Lindsey was apparently my girlfriend before my memory restarted and now she lives with me, Yuito is my co worker for when we experiment on the mutagen formula the higher ups had made for something. Haven't been told what and apparently they want to start a small Disaster and they want me around for deployment for if/when shit hits the fan. Then I get to be the hero that makes Zombies to kill and eat other zombies. First one.

why interesting possible choice don't include any starting civ places for their time? Like when chinks started massacring everyone for land or Babylon, ancient Greece?
>>

Comfyish build is a go.
Mutagen: Natural Weapon 2
Average Appearance
Factionless.
Enemies: John York, Fiona Dawley, Derek Hall
Perks: For now Prime Subject. From enemies Expert, Authority, Signing Bonus

>>
>>48181541
The amount of time that has to pass before you can transform between human and dragon forms, after transforming once.
>>
>>48181507
it's not unless your definition of edgy is "everyone who is not innocent"
>>
>>48181541

If you meant why can't you start at those times, then the answer is what >>48181503 said.

If you meant why I don't consider those times interesting enough to list, the answer is that I started early, and just haven't gotten around to adding them yet. It's low priority, since that in no way affects the functionality of the CYOA

How long until you can go back to your other form, I think.
The bigger your dragon form is, the longer you have to wait to transform again.
It's also a pretty good way to guesstimate a dragon's size.
>>
>>48181590
Or you know you can just stick to your cool and awesome dragon form all the time.
>>
>>48181353
Now that you've added an obviously benevolent power, how about a more nefarious one that gives us some specialized destructive magic?

Also, you kind of messed up the Rewards for Emperor of Mankind: if you already have Major Telepathy and/or Imbue minor telepathy you lose out on a gift.
>>
>>48181507
Does it? Wouldn't an example of Grit be also your standard upbeat shonen protagonist that never gives up no matter what?
>>
>>48181497
Orange Wyvern
Nomad Immortality
Masked Aspect

It was a tossup between Manta and Wyvern, but Wyvern won out because of the utility of it's human ability. It basically makes you a low level superhero.

But because I'm a tiny dragon, I'ma just keep movin' on.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TCxZbkwkvGE

>>48181677
That's an option. But I like doing human things. And most stuff is made for humans. And humans have thumbs, which is the strongest point in their favor.
>>
>>48181507
I disagree.
>>
>>48181532
Does Sagacity aspect grant inclination toward wisdom/etc, or just the _appearance_ of wisdom?

Similarly, does Mentor grant an knowledge/increased capacity or inclination toward learning, or just the impression that you have it?
>>
>>48181716
Hmm.. Stormsage is already pretty destructive, but can also be helpful. So, yeah, it's not a bad idea to add something that can only be used for destruction. I'll see if I can come up with something.

As for the rewards, I added a sentence at the end of the description of quests that specifies that if you already have a reward you instead get the equivalent amount of points. I did that to not have to repeat the same thing in several reward sections.
>>
>>48181797
Just the impression, I guess.

Nordic realm. I pick Warrior, Hunter, and Sailor.
Enhancements primitive, lascivious, and high-tech. So I have a dream world of tough people who sail and fight dinosaurs, and fuck, and some of that sailing is through the stars as we raid and conquer foreign worlds.

I choose sorcerer prince for spacial magic (teleporting, pocket dimensions, etc) which I'll use to pilot my ship. I also choose Prince of Maps, so I can put that to good use. I choose Crown Prince and Mystical Master, to be important and to control myself.

I pick Amuzan gear, a sword and simple armor, and a copacetic conveyance. That conveyance is my space ship. With her, I sail the seas of space and of my world.
The Traveler's Transcript, a Runeslate (like a runestone-sized dataslate) in my personal palace records my actions and contains my maps. The ones used on my ship are rubbings taken from the stone, and they'll be used by my nation too, as the king dies.

Kidnapped Cutie quest. I'll raid and take back our people tenfold.

Davenport seems a perfectly good waifu.

And I've a third of my points left. I'll enhance my realm further with sky islands and ancient ruins. Now I sail between islands as well as planets. I assume there's still sea to sail on from time to time.
I enhance myself with more magic: Flesh-crafting. The power to change the bodies of living beings. I take Wright Prince: Servants as well, and I'll make soldiers, sex slaves, specialized artisans and musicians, interesting animals and mounts, and all manner of being with my magical and technological powers.
Finally, I take Trader-Prince. I'm set to raid and war and defend myself, but there's one other coin in which I was previously poor, and that's coin itself.

tl;dr: Magical space/sky pirate saving waifus, making waifus, and being a badass in a ship.

>>
>>48182085
Anon, these questions are impossible to answer without a setting.
Without the setting, I'll say low responsibility which means I also get low power.
If the powers are cool enough, or my responsibilities are things I'd like to do anyway (say, act as an adventuring diplomat inDream Princess), it's fine by me.
So question 2: if the powers are cool enough or I want to do the job anyway

Thanks for the offer. This one is pretty recent, I made it a while back for a cyoa (I don't remember it's name but found the post number >>47304772 )

Yasunori, although being just a high schooler, is known as master martial artists, his training on internal styles allows him to control qi enough to heal at incredible speeds and lighten his body to perform inhuman acrobatic feats. Inspired by "Divine Spear" Lin Shuwen, Yasunori consider a defeat any fight in which he has to strike more than once, because of this his fighting style is very explosive and earned himself the nickname of "White Comet". However, his most valuable asset is his uncanny foresight that occasionally allows him to react to his opponents even before the offender carries out the intended action, allowing him to dodge bullets and strike vital points in high speed targets.
His biggest weakness lies in how distractible he is by beautiful women. He is constantly seem flirting with someone in his school, not only with students but also with the docents (He is currently in "love" with the school doctor, who toys him by baiting him with seduction into doing menial tasks for her). All his masters agrees that his improvements slowed after joining the current school and is considering to back off their recommendation to turn down his scholarship unless he proves himself in the Dark Tower. This personality quirk is specially troublesome when confronting female opponents, in which he becomes clearly reluctant and fights in a very defensive manner instead.

The are some others, but I would have to translate it first.

Christ.. let me filter out all the Mary Sue wankery.

>Yasunori is a fellow high school student and a seasoned martial artists, specializing in controlling qi to accelerate healing and to perform inhuman acrobatic feats.
>Yasunori prefers to finish fights quickly, earning earned himself the nickname of "White Comet" among his peers.
>Yasunori one true weakness is women, becoming easily distracted with his many love affairs with both students and teachers.
>His performance at the school has suffered to such an deplorable degree due his lust, that even his masters are considering to revoke his scholarship unless he can prove himself worthy in the Dark Tower. Undaunted, Yasunori vows to conquer the dark tower and overcome his lust, no matter how formidable or beautiful his potential opponents may be.

There, still sounds like something from a shitty shonen anime but less Mary Sue-ish.

Aside from the default immortality, the rewards are kind of "meh". I think the bonus points should be granted at the start of the quest, with the immortality being the prize at the end. At least that way, the points are guaranteed to be useful. I don't really see a need for ten extra points after accomplishing the Sorcerer Supreme quest, for example, since I'm already required to have 3 major powers in order to undertake the quest in the first place.

Furthermore, the new drawbacks are incredibly harsh for the points rewarded. The only drawback worth taking if you're aiming to complete a quest is still "The Dustbin of History". Honestly, this newest version makes me want to forgo all quests and simply live for thousands of years in a comfy pocket dimension with a handful of companions.
>>
>>48182845
Thank you for the feedback. I won't be granting rewards at the beginning of quests, because then it's not actually a reward, it's just an increase in the points you receive.

As for the drawbacks, I'll wait and see if they are used. In my mind, if everyone maxes out on drawbacks, then that means they are not harsh enough. But, I will consider it more closely.
>>
>>48182893
Notice what I have done though.

Instead of Yasunori being a master martial artist hes simply a seasoned one and for the most part I just gave a simply description of what is specialization and fight style is like. With no hint of arrogance. Let the player fill in the blanks.

Note that included that he was known by his nickname "White Comet" among his peers and not refer to as such by everybody. Meaning the people who do call him that nickname are either his friends or fellow martial artists that have seen him fight.

And I cut out most of the bullshit about his affair with the school doctor again let the player fill in the blanks and the deviant bastards of /cyoag/ are quite good at that. And just sort of implied that he had a lot of affairs going on, humbled enough to realize he has an weakness and is pragmatic enough to try and overcome it, because his grades are on the line.
>>
>>48182985
Possibility: quests give rewards at the beginning, but have serious punishments if failed. Such as death.
>>
>>48183034
Good in theory, pointless in practice.

In what universe would any CYOA player, after taking a quest which has death as a penalty for failing, ever fail the quest? Putting death as a consequence for failure is the same as guaranteeing that every anon is sure they will succeed.

Thanks for the feedback. The mary sue wankery is indeed my signature card and I want to fix it but in my defense the cyoa was kinda anime-themed so it ended up like that. I guarantee you it would be have much less shounen element if it were, say, space refugee or traveller.

>Instead of Yasunori being a master martial artist hes simply a seasoned one and
The "master" aspect comes from the cyoa choices, but that's not important.
>for the most part I just gave a simply description of what is specialization and fight style is like. With no hint of arrogance. Let the player fill in the blanks.
This part is very interesting and I like it.

>Note that included that he was known by his nickname "White Comet" among his peers and not refer to as such by everybody. Meaning the people who do call him that nickname are either his friends or fellow martial artists that have seen him fight.
Makes sense.

>And I cut out most of the bullshit about his affair with the school doctor again let the player fill in the blanks and the deviant bastards of /cyoag/ are quite good at that.
In hindsight that was very awkward.

>And just sort of implied that he had a lot of affairs going on, humbled enough to realize he has an weakness and is pragmatic enough to try and overcome it, because his grades are on the line.

>>48182378
Traveller's Tale by a country mile. Access to immortality, power(all the way to bullshit levels if given enough time), fantasy worlds, sci-fi worlds, science-fantasy worlds and any kind of world or combination you can think of. Kind of a cop-out really since it can include all, or at least most, CYOAs and works of fiction but that what you get with an infinite multiverse.

Well, I'm a boy, and more rapist than rape victim, so I'll play as a boy.

I suppose I'll join Jupiter. I'm not interested in that level of competition, but perhaps some ambition is worthwhile. If I manipulate the boys, rather than the girls, I can be a king of kings. But I'd be happy with only girls.

Allure 1
Elusive 2
Force 1
Study 2
Threat 5

I basically made myself, but with pumped up Threat for the sake of the scenario. My Study is really more like 3 in real life but it wasn't when I was that age.

Favored classes:
Acting
Business
Psychology
Language Arts
The social ones are worthwhile arts in their own right, the dominance ones are great means to an end.

Inhuman Threat grants me a "fan club or cult", so I'm going for that shit. That can help mitigate the low allure, and allow me to excel in Jupiter.
Dignity, because I wouldn't want to lose that anyway.

Magic is expensive as fuck, but I'm going to buy into it. Five points for "trained in magic", one for the favored class, and two to boost my Study to the point where I can actually succeed at difficulty checks.

My four spells:
Supernatural Sight: The main reason I took this, I need to know what's going on.
Telepathy: It's handy.
Shroud: Never know when you might want something like that.
Illusion: Mostly for fun, but I imagine it'll come in real handy.

Aside from the enjoyable pastime of amassing slaves and influence, magic gives me a goal: Amass spells. I'll take my share of slaves, in Hermes as well as my own house, for practical purposes, and from whichever house is conveniently available on the girls' side. Individuals are more important than connections there, to me, and I intend to keep them close anyway.

Mysteries:
I'll address the Dorm Raid, which is a security flaw.
The forbidden section of the library piques my interest.
I've no interest in the others.

Secret page seems to be missing, though.

If you assume you start at a bodily age of, say, 25, and live to be 95 in physical age (very plausible since you're still immune to disease), that's an extra 7,000 years.
>>
>>48182845
Another comment on the Sorcerer Supreme quest to add. Yes, it is harsher to complete because of the requirements. But, along with God Emperor quest (which is also notably difficult), it is one of the only ones that allows you to assign immortality to whomever you wish to, as opposed to just your companions, or another very limited set of people. That difference is intentional because of the extra requirements.

So. First I wander about meeting different tribes and people and doing myth things. I do this to about 100 BC. Then I begin conquering to form a World-Spanning Empire. I start by taking over the leadership of an equivalent to Rome by claiming to be the incarnation of my own myth and begin expanding from there. I use a vassalisation system, all vassals and their designated heirs have a telepathic link to me. Rebellions are crushed quickly by commanding my other vassals. Other than that rule is hands-off so long as the rulers cooperate with and support the expansion of my church. The only real limitation to my expansion would be travelling across the ocean which technology would eventually mitigate with time. I use the Empire to push my myth and divinity. It should be fairly easy to accomplish the listed goals.

What if the AI decides that humans cannot pose a serious threat? Most strong AIs are too smart and too distributed to kill even if you are willing to reduce the planet to gravel with you on it.

It might decide that humans are a resource drain, but it seems more likely that exterminating humans will prove more expensive than ignoring them or working with them.

1a: really complicated physics sims
1b: Nigerian Prince someone into mixing the custom proteins you designed and ordered from a biotech supplier
1c: use that crude nanofab to built a mature one
Part 2: build a smart virus and wait several weeks

Killing humanity is basically free when you have good mid-future tech and humanity doesn't.

Thanks! It's a fun CYOA.

Depending on how localised divination is, I think it could also be used to warn vassals of impending disasters ahead of time. Even if not, it's useful for enhancing one's myth. The mysterious stranger who wanders into town and warns the villagers that Mount Vesuvius is due to errupt tomorrow for instance.

I also think I might be able to expand the Empire before decent seafaring tech by just swimming the Atlantic and starting conquest there. One's vassals in Europe/Asia/Africa could still be commanded. (The way I read Major Telepathy is that you don't need to meet someone in person to form a new link?)

2) The council of nine as it stands, preferably in a wide shot with Duwall front and center.
3) An actual fucking Nisetic
4) Last but possibly the most preferred, an image for Kirojikuma

If he's willing to do any of these, let me know, it could help me out in the long run and earn him my eternal gratitude.

The way I had thought about it is that you have to be "aware" of a mind to be able to communicate to it outside of the mile range. However, it's a reasonable interpretation that your vassal across the sea could "introduce" you to his son mentally.

I should point out, and I'm not sure if you read this right, that you can only talk with people at any distance; you can only actually read minds within a mile of you. So vassals could potentially try to lie to you when you were further away.

Of course, given the scenario you've described, they'd be pretty incredibly stupid to do so, and you could always have other "feet on the ground" to report back to you mentally.

Here's my 500-word autism for that 1000 points:

Errant was a shipboard engineering AI of the mining vessel ‘Zasyadko’, piloted by Captain Arthur Hayes. While en route to a station to sell its cargo, the vessel was attacked by pirates. Being an unarmed freighter, the captain encouraged all personnel on board to quickly find an escape pod and save themselves. He stayed onboard and piloted the ship away to try and buy his crew time to escape. One of the ship’s engineers, Janice Mason, grabbed the chip containing the AI before sealing herself into an escape pod with it. Once a safe distance, she set the pod’s trajectory for the nearest station, in the process burning all the fuel aside from what it took to put her in cryo. The AI had been installed in the pod; set to be dormant until the ship would be within range of the station, so as to be able to wake her up.
Years passed, and inevitably, the AI was brought back online. Rather than being greeted by a station, it found a field of twisted wreckage. Whether product of a pirate raid or particularly nasty meteoroid shower, the station was no more, and what little fuel that remained was used to steer the pod off a collision course with the wreckage. For too long, the craft drifted. Over time, the AI changed. Ghosts in the machine, so to speak. It started to think. Named itself Errant, and slowly the memories of the vessel, the pirates, and even the engineer became corrupt.
At some point, it was discovered by something. Someone. A traveler. The only anchor Errant had to its past was the sealed suit with the woman’s body within, and the pod with the name ‘Zasyadko’ marked on the side. If ever asked where it came from, most anything about its past, Zasyadko was Errant’s answer. For ease of transport, Errant was installed in the suit, and the engineer’s body removed. The traveler offered the woman a funeral in the nearest star before bringing Errant to the homeworld.

Fuck. That looks like a shitty wall of text. Oh well, here's the rest.

Errant knew nothing but the darkness, solitude, and silence of space. Suddenly, this traveler found it and now, endless options were arrayed before it. It has no idea what to do. It does not need sleep, but whenever it enters a dormant state, or sits idle for extended periods of time, it has ‘nightmares’ of the darkness, solitude, and silence that used to be all it knew. It feels most comfortable around other AI, as it feels it can relate with them, and so quickly gravitated towards the few that were around for the fledglings’ arrival. When given options as for housing and missions, Errant decided to stay on the homeworld for a while, and take time to acclimate to all that has opened up to it. It thinks about things for a while, and is generally slothful about making decisions, as it is completely inexperienced with pretty much everything.

When it needs credits to pay for something, whatever that may be, Errant uses its intricate knowledge of technology to its benefit. As it was designed as an engineering AI, it was programmed with knowledge of all technologies man had in its home timeline. It quickly picked up on the new technology of this place, though the social intricacies were lost on it. Errant is eager to learn, though having trouble getting over its discomfort around organic sapients. Most of the learning it does is from the encyclopedia it was provided at orientation, as well as its various AI friends. At least, it thinks they’re friends. It doesn’t fully grasp the concept yet.

Dunno if you're still doing the Ranks, Highlander, but I went ahead and filled out one of the templates for shits

Version 1.0! The fact that there is a 1 in front of this means that it is "done" for the time-being. So, if anyone was waiting to do a build for that reason... Most significant change is probably that several drawbacks give additional points now.

Changelog 1.0

*Some cosmetic and formatting changes, a few spelling fixes.
*Body section changed to just assume you build a body by default, which is what everyone was doing. This still allows the option of keeping your own body, it's just more concise.
*Working (Wo)man is now free, and One Percenter is now only 1 point. This is because, in truth, they only give a small boost at the very beginning of your journey, and so aren't worth much.
*Firedancer magic added
*Friend group cost reduced from 21 for ten friends/family to 15 for seven. Similar change for famous/fictional persons.
*After consideration, several drawbacks were somewhat increased in the points they give you. Total limit remains at +40.

My next steps are
1. Actually do a build for this myself.
2. Work on the Magical World Add-on/DLC. This will be about adding magic of various kinds to the world in general, independent of you. It won't use the same pool of points, so there is no need to worry in that regard.

After the DLC is done, I will return to the main CYOA based on the input I've seen in the meantime.

Thanks!

Aye, and if not that then at least keeping it for future use. Imageboard CYOA isn't the most marketable form of medium, but it can be one of the most creative of ones. Every build I get I keep to help build the world of the cyoa further.

Sloth 1
Sloth 2
|Lust
.\Greed
Somewhere in Hollywood. Somewhere with rich women who are celebrities and have enough to live on. Big homes so I can cordon off a section to use as my own. I don't intend to do anything oher than eat simple food and never move again, so no cavities going to other people around me. (I might take up a water and potato diet for a while.)
Sloth 3
|Lust
.\Greed
This gets me the remoteviewing powers an the ability to ghostly interact with others. Sex tapes, and getting people in position to even fuck dogs and other animals so I can record it and blackmail them for support.
A white van with a bed in the back so I can move around and physically get close enough to target women I find online.
(Damnit. I fI wwas asked this in 2007 I'd say I'd target AJ for sure. Now not so sure.)

Lust 1
Lust 2
\Sloth
Means I can now get two people (do creatures count as well?) to screw. Combines with Sloth 3's Greed ability, I can get sex tapes.
Yay money!

Greed 1
Well I guess I'm going to be getting rich for something.
Unknown
Specialty Versatility - Sloth 2's Greed ability.

Quests: Myth Maker & God Emperor

Okay, so you might imagine what is going to happen here. First thing is that everyone imbues everyone else with their respective power. Now we have a party of 4 super wizards who have the six forms of magic above at major level. Spend a few thousand years mastering all the powers, spreading myths and teaching students (mainly teaching Blessed magic and Spirit Singer, which are the bost benevolent forms). Given Divination, Spirit Blessing, Motion, and Healing, you can see why i don't really need a lot of the higher level defensive abilities.

The Tower of Babel can be worked around since each person in the group can learn one language. Since we can always communicate with each other, that allows 4 languages we can understand as a group at a time. Not perfect, but doable with the aid of translators. Given Genius 2, it won't take us too long to "change" languages when we need to.

The Slow Pace of History is perhaps annoying, but not actually a problem.

Betrayal... that, will hurt. Depending on whom it is, I would hope that they could be reconciled in time.

Once Myth Maker is accomplished, which realistically will only be limited by population, (in OTL, 100,000,000 happened around 1,000 BC; I can probably make it a bit sooner due to the proliferation of healing magic and spirits helping the crops and such, so maybe 1,500 BC, or even 2,000BC if things go well), then the drawbacks disappear, and life becomes much easier. The founding of the god emperorship (which will actually be either a triad or quartet of god emperors) will begin.
>>
>>48186681
Choices from quests:
Myth Maker: Economist (there will be legends about bringing wealth to the people) & Commander (and about leading people to victory over enemies)
God Emperor (later): Imbue Minor Telepathy, Wellspring of Harmony (could be useful in the endless millenia ahead)

So, yeah. Benevolent rulership of mageocracy, with teaching the higher levels of the "white" magics, and lower levels of the other magics, to countless students.

I will be "plugging the hole" though of giving your companions the ability to imbue powers on the cheap, to avoid paying full cost to have the power yourself. Kind of sad to see that build become invalid, though!
>>
>>48182378
I'd probably pick generic fantasy cyoa. Open enough to not know what's going on but I have a decent enough power level to not feel like everything is going to go to shit immediately.

That or "become a monster girl." Is being the dog girl waifu so much to ask?

Magical Realm is amazing, certainly. I would pass on Worm CYOA, because I think it would be lonely in time to be so far above others.

I'm quite fond of the one I've just made, too!

Basically I would want a CYOA where:
1. You can become immortal
2. You can be reasonably powerful.
3. You can live an interesting life without any serious threats to your existence or happiness.
4. You can still be basically human, connect and relate to other humans.

What other CYOAs fit that bill?

Ae is the Quarian Homeworld from Mass Effect, if I'm remembering correctly.
>>
>>48186805

1) The world of Ae itself is actually a terraformed mars with heavy polar ice caps and a number of bright cities. It orbits around a fresh alternate sun with moderate amounts of satellites and artificial stations. There are no stars, in fact there is nothing beside these two celestial bodies in Ae's resident pocket dimension.

2) Duwall himself is a an slightly taller man, shaved head but a full beard, brown hair brown eyes, pot belly and a perpetual shit eating grin. He started the trend of wearing a single set of clothes at any given time, in his case a leather jacket, a frayed undershirt and a set of workers trousers. He also wears either boots or no shoes whatsoever, depending on his location. In terms of weapons, he carries with him at all times a short piercing blade, and a pistol, as well as the standard Traveller bracer.

In addition to this he also has with him a simple Hikers bag, a number of religious pendents, and a Silver Torc he is never seen without.

3) As for Nisetics, there's a few things to note. Hair is more in line with quills and steel wool then the human equivalent, a layer of plating exists under the skin that while rarely seen does give their features a much more angular appearance to features, big hunters eyes, and such. They're a mix of insectoid and mammalian traits, and removed enough to not fit in either category.

4) Throw a little bit of Japan into the Mist by steven king for 400 years. Kirojikuma is the place that has stolen Duwall away.

>>
>>48186946
I don't see any reason you wouldn't be able to chain them. There's a couple meta ones that give you bonus points, and there's that fantasy one that's an auto-follow-up, and you can always take Slut Life or Paperwork if you need a few options that are cheaper there before chaining over.
>>
>>48187069

>>
>>48181353
so the nemesis drawback mostly covers this, but i was wondering about a milder version - one or more parties who oppose your designs not out of malice but for the enjoyment of the long game or from a difference of opinion about how a particular goal should be achieved
>>
>>48187172
Thanks for sharing!

As for what happens to your Nemesis after a quest is completed, you can choose any of the following interpretations:
1. The burst of power from completing the quest allows you to eliminate him from this universe.
2. He comes to his senses, so to speak, and agrees to stick to his probable empire (which he's likely been building himself) if you stick to yours. This leaves the opportunity for partnerships in the future, but also means you aren't the only fish in the pond.

One thing I don't understand about your build is the choice of Firedancer as your final quest reward. Honestly, at that point more firepower seems rather underwhelming, and not very useful. Can I ask why you chose it? There's nothing "wrong" with it, I'm just curious.
>>

Magical realm, of course. I already posted what I'd do in it in-depth >>48181410

Hm, I see. I'm leaning more towards him being erased, but having him stick around could be interesting, too. Maybe the Nemesis will be female, and I could shoot for the waifu path.

As for Firedancer being last, it's more insurance than anything. Raw destructive power to cement my status as Sorceror Emperor, or somesuch. So no nation in their right mind would stand against me. The powers before it have more uses than just pure destruction, thus I chose them first.

Alright, here goes.

Igra] Seven foot tall, four armed bird man with stunning blue plumage and a wicked black beak, wears loose robes or a just a simple skirt that doesn't bother the feathers, oft seen with a datapad in hand and a sour expression.

Cos2933] A mix of a human woman and a mechanical skeleton often drapped in a lavish dress, she is rather small especially when situated beside Igra. Her hair is long and a sandy blond, braided behind her head, her eyes are lime and reveal her artificial nature, along with her hands that also reveal her AI heritage.

Kagua Orguz] Big mean Ork Bastard looking more in line with his 40K brethren, though a great deal more amicable. He wears plate and kevlar armour and a zwiehander on his back, as his position no longer needs him to carry guns. He has an impressive jawline and small beady white eyes, that would likely be blind without the miracles of science, his age is showing, his skin is sagging in places, but his muscles remain firm.

Muhammad ‘Barbi’ Asuelasa] A shorter man with ragged balding balding hair that is often hidden behind a turban, Barbi wears solid white leather clothes, massive wyvern scale boots and is not often seen without a pipe. His eyes are blue, his skin is a heavily tanned and his beard is frayed, almost sickly. He wears set of 1920's style glasses.

Duwall] Covered

Gadraki] Seven foot tall Nisetic who has only ever been seen in a full set of spike plate armour, perpetually carrying a full armoury on his back, swords, axes, rifles and other weapons. Doesn't often speak, and never removes his helmet.

Cont.

Irmunsul] A faun, white furred goat legs, a mane on her head and a solid pair of curling goat horns, brown skin, cheerful smile, goat eyes. Wearing thick leather armour lined with excessive numbers of pockets that has been cut specifically to reveal her voluptous figure. No pants because sheep wool. Married to Barbi and the two are often close together.

Dornua Algash] Toad faced old git with only a single eye and many scars. Hair is grey and buzzed cut, face is stuck in a perpetual grimace. Wears light power armour but never a helmet. Always has a stupid big plasma pistol at his side. Not much liked by anyone besides Duwall and Irmunsul.

Tirouk] The youngest, wouldn't be in the image, so there's no need to worry about him or his predecessor who wouldn't have been at the image.

Elder Nadya] Another elder, ragged with age, a self aware hag. Wears an armoured void suit that shows much age and many marks of combat, her face is also covered in aged scars and innumerous wrinkles of time. Her eyes are a watery green when open, and her thinning hair is braided behind her head.

>>48187149

Sure, waifu your ex-Nemesis away if you like. You've had a wild courtship period of wasted civilizations and bloody battlefields.

Makes sense on "cementing your status" with Firedancer. I was slightly surprised at first that you choose that over Telepathy, but then I realized with Major Master of Motion you can check in all over your empire personally whenever you like.

Do you have an ETA for the DLC? Because I would like to have it before making a build.

Thrill seeking tendencies have developed an unnecessarily flashy but effective style of answering the call of emergency. Arriving a few thousand feet above the designated site, K begins his descent as a mad paratrooper. Flanking the enemy from an angle they never never thought possible, K starts the fight before he hits the ground. As of late, he has become bolder and bolder in utilizing his wingsuit's parachute. He says he is trying to master a technique by "landing" as quickly as possibly with the simultaneous use of the parachute and the insufficient thrusters from the built in jump pack. One of these days some poor bastard is gonna have to send out one emergency call after another. But right now you can call him the "Shooting Star".

I tried to writefag, but im too lazy/no good at it. Im gonna build a new traveller and try again.

Envelope

Going to mail it to some rich person and have them become my slave. If using them as a wallet isn't sufficiently evil, I will also tell them to kick a puppy.
>>
Does anyone have that cyoa with the premise of your uncle having disappeared under mysterious circumstances in an urban fantasy environment?

I think one of the powers included being incredibly lucky, the companions were all built using the same rules as you, i.e. getting certain companions could compensate for holes in your build. There may have been up to three invisible foxgirls you could get to follow you, but I don't know if that's true or the cyoa are blurring together.

>three invisible foxgirls
If this is from a different CYOA, then I want that to be also posted.

Myth Maker
God Emperor of Mankind(?)

Tower of Babel is annoying, but with Genius 3 I can quickly learn and swap languages. Tactic is to travel to all empires - particularly empires with writing - and flaunt my numerous powers. Individual tribes are too scattered and low population to make visiting them worthwhile, so empires are the easiest mechanism to exploit to spread my influence.

After performing miracles I would create works of art. I would write codes for people to follow and worship, so they do not forget me. My cults would spread word of me far and wide; for fun, I can even prophesy certain events I remember from history. I would also subvert the rise of monotheism in the Middle East. I can't destroy or stop the creation of Jerusalem, but I can change the culture and beliefs of people in the region so monotheism never develops.

God Emperor of Mankind has a (?) because I'm not sure if I can complete it after Myth Maker - completing Myth Maker first removes the drawbacks, theoretically allowing Emperor of Mankind. It's mostly for flavor anyway; I just like the idea of a common figure in myth revealing himself to be all the same person. Would make the worship of me a lot easier to swallow if I'm already recognized in most pantheons.

Can you make it so that the AI doesn't necessarily tend to have humanity's interests at heart? I want the option to make a neutral/malevolent AI, and the current quest is a huge turn off.

Hah, thank you. I could have sworn this was more than one page, though. Is it an early version or am I just used to cyoas with companions, perks, and complications just taking up multiple pages?
>>
>>48188088
If this is supposed to be an AI, it behaves too much like a human for it to seem like a reasonable interpretation of a robots way of speaking. Not to mention the fact that being a robot, they would lack the biological processes necessary to feel hate.
>>
>>48188065

Nothing is stopping you from creating an AI without fulfilling the quest, you edgy cunt.
>>
>>48188108
>>48188088

I just wanted to make a neutral one to see what the AI would come up with for a moral system, and because I don't believe human morality to be the start and end. Seems to have gotten y'all really triggered though. Kind of funny actually, I mean what's it to you, really, what kind of AI I like?
>>
>>48188105
That's the only version around s'far as I know. Shame too since Toss! invalidates a good chunk of the other powers, while the fox sisters are the objectively right choice for companions.
>>
>>48188105
It's the only version. Italics has said he's not expanding it and instead he'd rather do another CYOA set in the same world.

You still don't remember a thing, do you? After all the people you've killed, you're still trying to put the pieces back together? I've already told you once before: you'll never know the whole story. Why you've been getting all those phone calls, why your girlfriend was killed; you couldn't even realize who the killer really was.

No one else had much time left; in fact, they're all gone now. Most of them didn't even know what happened - although, from the loud boom and the searing heat, you probably figured that part out. I'd ask you if you're happy that you've got more time, but your last moments of freedom weren't spent wisely. The Russians weren't the ones who ordered that hit, and now it's too late to go back and fix your mistakes. What's done is done, and I can't imagine you're stable enough to actually go back to being a normal person. Not after what you've done in Hawaii and Miami, not after what you saw what happened to San Francisco. So instead, I'm going to ask you the first question I gave to help you.

"Do you like hurting other people?"

Artificial Intelligence. They are robots, computers. Why would they think like humans? They're not human biologically. Even if you programmed them to "act like a human" its "human" behaviours would only fall within a small spectrum of human behavior patterns.
>>
>>48188885
Yeah, but it comes across as if it's just second nature to you, like an instinct or something.
Doesn't mean that you could actually apply it to real computers.
>>
>>48188978
The whole point of NP is that it has been demonstrated that any problem in NP space can be translated into any other problem in NP- you solve one, you solve them all. And one of the NP-hard problems is devising a P=NP algorithm. As long as you fluff a problem with economics- which is easy, because economics deals in applied mathematics frequently- P=NP for you personally.

Let me repeat: wHaT.
