Well. Eldrazi are diverted by leylines. That's how they were imprisoned on Zendikar, and how Nahiri sort of controlled them. Innistrad's moon (and the Helvault) is probably the focus of many leylines, hence why Sorin could use the Helvault to imprison loads of demons. So someone influenced by the eldrazi would not be able to detect the moon with their eldrazi-addled senses.
