I believe that past travel isn't possible because if you go back and change something, you are eliminating the need for yourself to go back and change said thing, and thus you never actually went back and changed it.

But vaguely, I'd imagined she had formed an alliance long ago between other oldwalkers. And during the time she was married to Will, something happened, and she had to make good on that alliance.
Do you have any ideas for it? Chronologically, it would've taken place about 900ish years before the current magic story line.

More that his insanity compounds the tragedy. From Will's p.o.v., Gaia abandoned them. She could have used her power at any point to save his children or return. He'd thought she was dead. And suddenly, just minutes too late, she reappears after ten years? She couldn't have arrived sooner to save them all? Save the kids? Save him? But of course, between the tragedy and the horrors of the Blind Eternities, Will's mind had already begun to grow unstable by this point. But still, I imagine he blamed her for their deaths.
But what he didn't know, and what she couldn't tell him, was how violent and catastrophic the war was, how needed she was elsewhere. So the war, and your comment, finally helps fill in her p.o.v.

Kiora contributed basically nothing to the war against the Eldrazi besides getting Lorthos killed when it turned out throwing him at Kozilek with no further plan involved was not sufficient to defeat the alien god from the blind eternities (WHO'D HAVE FUCKING THOUGHT?) and very nearly doomed everyone by trying to abort the desperation attack on the Eldrazi in the eleventh hour in the vague hope they'd just leave.

I kind o think they've got a clear story by now. She left Eol, mastered the five colors over a long lifetime of possibly thousands of years, and settled down with Will on Ulgrotha. Had a family, got called to an Oldwalker war where atrocities and crimes against nature took place over decades on countless planes. Came home to find in her absence her husband and family got wrecked by some common, uppity vampire while she tried to protect them from the rest of the universe.
Will believes she abandoned them by pretending she went to war or whatever reason, and is driven crazy by seeing the Blind Eternities as well as seeing everyone he knows and loves murdered before his eyes. Thinking Gaia and all her colored magic failed or left them for dead, he starts using colored magic. Corrupted by the unnatural or at least unusual magics, he masters time magic while searching for his Great Truth that was inspired by Eldrazi or the Blind Eternities. Takes students, and skips over timelines to cheat to the end results of experiments.
Gaia decides to make her own plane at last, and using thousands of years of earned knowledge creatures a world cut off from the Blind Eternities. Will grows curious about unexpected results in his experiments, and uses thousands of years of cheated knowledge to trick a way into this fake plane he deduces to be absent of colorless mana since unknown to him Gaia didn't know it. Gaia's world breaks down and only Belagir escapes. Will cheats death, and decides to make things right

Ok, In Flashpoint instead of Thomas and Martha dying in the alley, Bruce died
so Thomas Wayne became Batman in that timeline, but he was a much more brutal Dark Knight than his son would have been.
So War Gaia would be much more violent than Original Gaia, never having grown past the point she was at during the war. Will ends up coming back to her, some stuff happens and she's the one who gives him the kick in the ass that he needs to go back and undo that shit like Thomas Wayne did in Flashpoint.

Honestly I'm completely against the idea of flake point. As a newcomer, apparently I have to reset my character. Also the whole hate against some of the walkers that 'should not be' (IE messenger and Serena) seem to be because no one read the fucking fluff behind them. (Messenger had his Spark given to him, Serena was a human whom essentially had Call to Serve cast on her)

Are you feeling left out? Like the thread is a giant circlejerk around a bunch of namefagging flake makers? Well, honestly, you're not wrong! Part of this is because these things should have probably died out a long time ago to make way for a new flakestorm! Yet people through force of will, and affection for the creations of themselves and others have kept this labor of love alive! And that's not bad, but it builds cliques and can give people like YOU a sense of being unable to have fun or contribute!
Now let me tell you what FLAKEPOINT is and isn't! What it originally is, was my attempt to finish Will's time travelling, chronologically abusive story line after my return from months awol from this unliving, eternal thread. Time travel is one hell of a drug through, and options to give other people happy endings or other changes were thrown in. One pun later we were dubbed FLAKEPOINT. It's perpetuated by myself to give an ending to Will, and others to have fun.
What it is: A storyline that is more or less a piss poor attempt to fill in the gaps that the conclusion of the Innistrad block has given us since we lack a driving, canonical story! An attempt to recall one of my favorite blocks, Chronoshift and all the alternate world shenanigans that came with it! A chance to retcon stuff YOU don't like, and fuck anyone else who has a problem with your flake.
What is isn't: A circle jerk to punish you or your flakes for not meeting 'standards'! Yeah, there's going to be assholes who says your flake is shit. FUCK THEM! Sometimes we get trolls and people get defensive about their lore. Sometimes people have reason for their flakes being different from lore. But no matter what, remember the golden rule: WE'RE ALL EQUALLY SHITTY OC'S SNOWFLAKES. No matter if you married Jace or are just some bumfuck white soldier planewalker, everyone is just as bad. But no one should give you shit if you don't change your character!
