LAST TIME

Our big war to take over a simple base from zombies backfired explosively (literally).

And so we decided the only solution to attracting zombies with an explosion. . .was an even bigger explosion.

And somehow in the madness of it all, it worked? The zombies are no longer headed for us, but there are a lot more of them and boy are they angry at everything, but not at us only thankfully.

New thread since last thread is about to 404

I'm still leaning towards the mountain gtfo plan.
From what I can tell, the bomb bought us time but made the situation dramatically worse for everyone else.
I was going to have the following as action 1
Get ready to move everything to the mountain. I do mean everything.
We'll start by convert our behemoth-sized transports into flyers (with the same cargo capacity)

>>48070063
Hell yes!
If it would be in any way easier, convert our extant transports into ships.

While we're at it, should we move essential personnel (like the CEO and Ginny) to the Blank Bastion?

>>48070253

Otherwise, yeah, it'd be great if we could join the Rejects. We just drew all the zombies out of the megacity, that should make it a little easier to conquer right?

Plan C
There was Wasteland to the West of our old location. What was to the North and South of it again? We pick one of those.
>>
Rolled 74 (1d100)

>>48070299
You also have to consider that we don't know whether the platform is going to hold.
>>
Strangely enough I kind of feel if we survive this through the help of the train we can still live here reasonably.

Do you guys really think that we should leave? After all the hard work we put in here?
>>
Rolled 40 (1d100)

Action 1
CEO, SAL, negotiate arrangements with the Rejects.

We want in. We're tired of being left out in the cold. We've got a big military, new technologies, and other. . .assets that could be of use to them.

We've drawn the zomibes away from the megacity.

We want to join and become a supporting faction, because being a standalone civ is hard as balls and we're willing to do our part. Make ammunition, provide soldiers, drugs, manufacturing, etc.

We'd be doing more helping them there than we certainly are here.

But our bases are likely not going to survive where they are right now and we need help moving them again. . .

Action 2
Prepare the mountain with BIG engines can we at least get some control over its movements?

MAD
JOY

Really doesn't appeal to me.

I don't know how long we'd be able to last like that, and we'd be low on pretty much everything when we came back out.

still the only issue is that it'd go against the general combat doctrine we've established, still i feel that it's best to have that atleast as a backup plan mainly cause it's trend for us to end up in shit creek without a paddle for just for walking down the street to get a loaf of bread.

Too be honest I think we should focus on going full Borderlands Hyperion. Set up an Orbital station, launch things bit by bit and assemble in space.

We can grow plenty of food for our people already. It'll take quite a long time to set up but could be totally worth it.

Then we can only come down when we run out of space rocks to mine. We can finally bomb places from orbit.

Glowy Joe stats will never be revealed.

Ever.

Fucker has the most thick luck(plot armor) i have ever seen. For fucks sake I was the creator of the setting and he was just a no name joke character, but I STILL COULDN'T KILL THE SON OF A BITCH.

No matter how hard I fucking tried...the dice would NEVER let it happen.

It honestly didn't matter how much I stacked the odds against him he would ALWAYS find a way.

Such ludicrous bullshit. I finally gave up when I rolled a couple crits in a row and honestly couldn't even begin to fathom how he managed to survive.

Fucking Glowy Joe.

He ain't ever gonna die. Not even i could kill him for fucks sake. I have tried for so long but HE JUST WONT FUCKING DIE.

I mean how the fuck is that even possible?

His stats by the way are fucking insane. Having tried to kill him for so long and failing his stats got so insane I stopped keeping track.

Basically his stats is

>PLOT ARMOR THE THICKEST DESPITE BEING HATED BY HIS CREATOR
>LUCK SO FUCKING GOOD NOT EVEN THE GODDAMN CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE AND CONTROLLER OF REALITY CAN FUCKING KILL HIM
>ABSOLUTELY FUCKING INSANE PROBABLY DUE TO HIS INABILITY TO DETERMINE HOW HE MANAGES TO NOT EVER DIE.

Fuck I can count on one hand the number of times he was wounded...which was like almost never. Honestly he could be going through a apocalypse bringing event and take a swim through unreality without a fucking scratch is more likely then him getting wounded.

His stats basically is this
>Crazy
>Plot Armor Maximum
>Da Luckiest

He has transcended the point of having stats. I think I'll next try to get rid of him by transcending reality or becoming a god or something. We'll see. I REFUSE TO ACCEPT THE FACT THAT I CANNOT KILL THE SON OF A BITCH.

Its personal goddamn it.
>>
>>48071569
Why not pull a HULK, he can end up fighting on something in space and ends up lifting off in the Zero-G and floats away, powerless, no matter your stats, no matter your skill, if your adrift in space your powerless....until he crashes onto some other planet and becomes their god.
>>
>>48071569
I see...what does glowy Joe infact look like...because i'm imagining Dr.Manhattan if he was in a metal band..with guns and gear
>>
Rolled 48 (1d100)

>>48071569
I honestly don't know how the hell he has such thick plot armor despite my trying my hardest.

But alas luck says otherwise that fucking crazy untouchable asshole.

IT EVEN EFFECTS THOSE AROUND HIM.

Somehow somewhere along the line I started to notice that his company...is affected too. Like it somehow upgraded to include his fucking company.

It started with Duel Fists but expanded. I initially planned for a hero of every civ basically a mascot to join the crazy fucking train as a sort of remembrance. On board is literally a hero from every civ ever done.

>>48071624
I tried that several times. Never worked.

Also threw him in a blackhole.

There was another time he fell into a hole torn in reality. Several times actually.

I also threw him in with Abigail and boyfriend quest. Put him in a situation where he COULDN'T survive...he did.

So apparently its now canon Glowy Joe been around since the before the Fall.

Fucking hell. Technically that means he even survived the Fall but given his luck honestly that is not actually very surprising or impressive.

I have never heard of a character who has such thick plot armor even his creator cannot kill him.

I would honestly erase him from existenance without him getting a chance to survive...but it felt like cheating. So I figured why not let luck decide?

...I ain't ever gonna get rid of him. The only thing more powerful then his insanity or plot armor is his goddamn luck.

It LITERALLY doesn't matter how much I stack the odds against him. Glowy Joe WILL survive and at times not even I can possibly fathom how he does it.

Fucker even ate an ENTIRE goddamn SWARM of nukes to the fucking FACE. He was in ground zero for fucks sake...I just can't kill him.

No matter how hard I try and its fucking personal. Yet at the same time it feels like I would be cheating if I ever decided to go 'fuck this your erased'. Just doesn't feel right...so I keep trying to kill him.

and failing miserably.

It haunts me.
>>
>>48071761
I actually really respect that. Sometimes as a creator as your creations become more independent and full of quirks outside my direct control I take joy in it...they may eventally begin to unravel something else or a part of my creation I like...but I can't help but feel a proud with how far they have come, how this once little blip of an idea grew and grew, beat the odds and is now a great factor changing the world is created before it.

I have both purposefully tried to destroy him and tried to make sure he was forgotten...alas Glowy Joe has insanely good luck.

Alas it felt wrong to do that to someone so awesome...even I admit that. So I tried to make it near impossible for him to show up.

Alas...his luck.

One day I will find the weakness of Glowy Joe.

>>48071641
He started of as a rags dressed Psycho who was strapped to a vehicle which charged into a wasteland swamp and then into a megacity(in a row). Survived.

Sometime around that he started to Glow and his name was Joe. So he was called Glowy Joe.

Glowy Joe would help the Memor before running off to start his own faction. He ends up surviving his faction and after teaming up with a not so dead Warlord Duel Fist proceeded to wander the world after the Fall of the Memor.

He would later make several reappearances before his taking of the crazy flying train of RAPE. Possibly because he noticed a chained up Genie to the front of it reminded him of himself way back when...so he took the train for his own.

He proceeded to have a number of crazy adventurers and picked up hero after hero here and there. So long as they are with Glowy Joe they can enjoy a portion of his luck and thereby be immortal as he is.

Sadly this effect wears off should one not be in close proximity to him.

That effect wasn't up to me btw. It was just how the dice played out.

He Glowy Joe was kitted on originally with pieces of tech he looted on his flying ship and crew before they got wrecked. After that Glowy Joe like some broke ass ravager would use whatever he could get his hands on or simply use his fists/insanity as a weapon/armor.

Its worth noting Glowy Joe never EVER wore armor or even any kind of shielding. At best he is wearing some trophies, trinkets, and some cloth(before its invetibable getting wrecked/lost.

His weapons change as often as his slurs and MADNESS.
>>
>>48071842

>>
Rolled 54 (1d100)

>>48071812
Yeah I feel the same way. Which is why no matter how much i may hate it or loathe it I wont ever stop it.

Because in some perverted fucked up way they are like my children. Sure they may not have come out as i wanted...but deep down I can't help but love them all anyway.

Even Glowy Joe that fucking asshole.

So even though I may try to get rid of something I will ALWAYS give them a shot. A toss of the dice to see...and sometimes they do in fact beat the odds.

and you know what if they survived as far as I am concerned they deserve to fucking stay. Sure if it continues to irate me I will try again and again until I succeed or simply give up as they are 'worthy' at that point. Usually it depends on how well it inter meshes. Except for Glowy Joe but that is personal and the only exception.

Glowy Joe however is fucking personal goddamn it, but I wont let that blind me and put aside my code.

If whoever or whatever is worthy even if I disagree I will let them stay. No matter what they shall have their chance for survival, because honestly if I did otherwise wouldn't it get rather stale? Wouldn't it be less interesting and less alive?

So while i may be biased or otherwise acknowledge the odds against or for I wont ever prevent a toss of the dice. No matter the odds if the dice wills it shall be, because luck exists.

Often times this has massively fucked things up but you know what?

The ways it fucks things up is in ways that I would NEVER EVER be able to otherwise consider or see coming!

In fact this would be true for many people and that is why I let it stay.

It creates things that I would otherwise completely not even remotely consider or implement. Its to the point where its vital to my creative process, unless people adopt a similar code and dice rolling for luck purposes in truth I never EVER do it otherwise luck in all my works is STRICTLY dice roll only

So while I finish calculating everything else modifiers included..I literally roll the dice.
>>
>>48071953
If there is a god...I bet this is the exact system he uses for humanity.

>God: Ok lets see what Humanity does with my self insert *rolls dice*
>*Rolls 1*
>God: I swear to fucking me Humanity I will fuck your shit up, ok thats it you ass holes are getting the end of the world, roll to see if you survive
>*rolls 100*
>God: I fucking hate you
>>
Rolled 54 (1d100)

>>48071953
So unless dice otherwise dictate it I will NEVER provide a quirk or stat stating 'luck'.

Your luck is up to the dice to choose.

The purest form of luck i can possibly implement. So in NONE of my works nobody is lucky or unlucky until the dice decide. In other words I wont purposefully twist luck. Ever.

It honestly felt like it made me a much better writer and developer of my worlds, because of how it would change things. Make things happen I could never even conceive of.

I honestly considered writing Glowy Joe's tale but I feel like I wont ever be able to do it justice because honestly I have no fucking clue how he manages it. So I wont ever be able to write it.

but he DOES do it.

Somehow, someway despite my best efforts otherwise, but goddamn if its not hilariously infuriating yet entertaining.

>>48071927
His color changes according to...well his mood and MADNESS. So its pretty random.

Weapon wise even the weakest weapons in the hands of Glowy Joe are terrifyingly powerful as they are infused with his luck and MADNESS until they are usually thrown away by Glowy Joe or lost.

A weapon never breaks in the hands of Glowy Joe...unless he beats someone with it or they are used against him.

Its unknown what long term exposure to Glowy Joe would due to an item or weapon.

Glowy Joe's appearance is an assortment of rags/clothing, trophies, and trinkets. He NEVER uses armor or shields to protect himself. Relying upon sheer luck and madness to protect him. Which is astoundingly effective maybe he doesn't because he thinks it might mess with his mojo maybe its due to his madness or believing he doesn't need it(which is true).

Glowy Joe appears to be hairless(or is he?). Sometimes he DOES wear wigs, hats, or simply has something painted on. Like for instance painting on a suit onto his naked body before running around as per usual.

You never fucking know what Glowy Joe will decide to wear, but I can say its never armor(unless its showy/nonfunctional).

Rolled 81 (1d100)

>>48071927
Its perfectly possible to mimic my system of creation but that would require the willingness to literally put it all on the line to the toss of the dice and to abide by a strict code similar to my own.

However i noticed people and writers are very unwilling to put their creations/stories on the line like that...so it will probably be unique. As they put their creations and stories above such things as luck. Which they twist to suit themselves and supposedly their creations for the 'better'. Which I personally disagree with.

Which is honestly a shame, because leaving it to actual luck can bring up things you would never even imagine, but they would happen and I feel like it actually by far gives more then it takes.

Sure i can be butthurt at times(or eternally so in the case of Glowy Joe) but I feel like it makes my world more alive and gives more then it takes.

While my setting may not be all that unique and full of autism. Its means of creation and order will likely never be repeated. Which honestly kind of makes me sad. Its really not all that hard but chances are people will refuse to try it thereby taking away a source that can be provide 'life' from their works.

The Rejects inform you that they don't have enough time to move you given the current situation.

Big engines placed on the mountain.

Joy meanwhile leaves with the MAD band. Heading to the center of the explosion area where Glowy Joe is seen looking around as if he is searching for something...before jumping to the center where reality tears and he falls through it but not before flipping everyone off as he goes.

...the other heroes note that Glowy Joe will be fine and seem to be rather antsy. Like they can feel something coming but aren't sure what it is exactly...but its something most of them have seen before.

The flying rape train meanwhile parks itself.

Sal is still gone due to the wording. He'll come back eventually with one hell of a surprise.

Tickets are done by lottery which determines the price. Apparently the train Conductor is Glowy Joe.

However there is a ticket machine nearby...with a lottery taped on top of it.

The train itself is heavily infused with madness and RAPE.

It may be worse, but at least we'll be living with the Rejects. Here people are going to eventually find out and probably hate the shit out of us (presuming we somehow survive the MEGA HORDES if we stay).

We'll have our bases right next to the Rejects (RIGHT NEXT to them) and serve as a faction, rather than a civ. We'll have the benefit of strong military leadership, good sets of orders and that will make things a bit easier.

We'd get to play a supporting role for real this time instead of independant civ which is incredibly migraine producing. And if per chance we die, we at least die standing alongside the biggest badasses we know.

Think of it this way.

We could land in a heavenly paradise on earth, and you know what?

Within 5-7 threads we would unleash unholy hell and initiate some world shaking threat upon ourselves.
As players we just do that like a fish takes to water.

So good or bad, we'd probably be facing threats anyway. In the megacity, and by living inside the rejects as a part of them, we can at least have the comfort of being lead by people that know how to fight.

We clearly NEED commanders too, and that's exactly who they have. A real warlord that knows his shit. Instead of a bunch of bureacratic board of directors barely any better than anonymous posters on an imageboard trying to lead a war.

"Glowy Joe fight your friends."

Suddenly without warning Glowy Joe suddenly charged towards the flying rape train screaming his head off about sparring dick swords and broken bicycles spokes for all.

"Hah well JAL looks like we can start the madness! You wouldn't happen to have any other tricks?"

"Brood King says hi," sings JAL.

with that the ground rumbled underneath Elton's feet as he looks down and says "Oh damn it," before getting sent flying again with a Brood King right behind him.

"OMITRON I COULD USE SOME FUCKING HELP RIGHT ABOUT NOW-" yells Elton as he fights the brood king while flying through the air.

"Well MAYBE if you chose to show up BEFORE this mess it would be easier to deploy my forces!"

"If I did that we wouldn't be able to take advantage of the chaos to kill them ALL," That was when a sudden swarm of flying robots smash into the Brood King forcing them to disengage as the KING roars in anger.

With a smash resulting in a crater Elton emerges among our forces laughing.

"Nice try JAL you think I haven't planned for what you could unleash? Admittedly wasn't expecting Joe to show up but fortunately for me his comrades should keep him busy. Now time to die."

"WHO SAYS I WILL LET YOU," suddenly roars a gigantic psionic voice that was so loud even the zombies temporarily halted by its might and Elton shuddered.

"How the hell...FUCK why did YOU show up," yells Elton as a VTOL suddenly appears from the shadows with an UMBRA logo painted on it as it lands...and lets out a young girl dressed in a business blouse and skirt.

"Really Elton? Why wouldn't I show up? With the large bomb...and more interestingly my younger sis's forces are here. Why wouldn't I come and why would i let you destroy them?"

"...Look Jenny. I am here to clean up her mess so WHY are YOU of ALL PEOPLE standing in my WAY!"

"Do you really think I'll let you turn her into a monster like you?"

That was when this 'Jenny' laughed.

"Oh Elton she already IS like me! We both have the same origins! We are sisters! Do you really think that you can stop it?"

"Yes I can, I always knew I would fucking regret not killing you on that battlefield that day...but she was there. Couldn't let her see her precious big sister die by my hands...but now Jenny I WILL KILL YOU."

"You can try."

From what JAL has told us about his precious V101, they were offered the same thing in their time of need. Megacorps. . .are not paramilitary. We have always relied on our paramilitary, the Rejects, aid to get us through thick and thin. In fact our original plan of escape was to join them.

Even as bandits, it's clear: we do not know how to fight, and need someone strong to watch over us.

From what JAL has told us, Umbra is strong. Very very strong. We are willing to become the megacorp you seek, but humbly ask if in your power, you grant us a Paramilitary or a Warlord to watch over us? A paramilitary to watch over Rizal's new Brood Megacorp with expert military leadership and protect us as the natural order of corps and soldiers?"

I don't know what deal Sal may have made with them, but they're probably just going to take advantage of the massive numbers of zombies around.

Unless they have a history with one or more of the Fall Bringers...

Anyway, were our vehicles included in being allowed on the train?
More specifically, was the SMBB?

Hmm, and now we need to pay em.

Action 1+2
We hired them, so we might as well pay them. But first we need exotic materials and to get exotic materials we need to convert them from loots.

CEO, go and make more manufacturing deals for loots. Then when the come back, break em apart with the corps machine into exotic materials and pay the ghouls.

As for the Ghoulish forces, these are the directives:
1 - Ensure no zombies threaten us, or slow them down if you can.
2 - If no zombies are immediately threatening us, go help the nearby Reject base if it is under attack
3 - If neither us or the Rejects are under zombie attack, go help Matar Sec. They might have done shit for us, but at least for the sake of the CEO's sister

Jenny - The BBEG from the very first game, and arguably one of the most powerful individuals we've seen.

On appearance a young girl, but she's secretly a Brood Abomination. Very powerful definitely queen or above I think. And CEO of the Umbra Corporation, the most underhanded, shiftiest, sneakiest, and potentially evilest corporation out there that larger is thought by many to be a myth since they are that good at hiding.

She has another name, which is what we called her before we knew more, "She who Hungers" because of her immense psionic power she can not only directly tap into the GLOBAL zombie "hunger hivemind", she can control it.

It's a bit vague but I believe her Father was ceo of a previous Megacorp and was directly responsible for turning his daughter into what she is now, to save her life at the cost of his own.

She is the adoptive older sister of Rizal, a Brood princess and daughter of Clora Zell the Broodmother and Dr. Volk, heroes of the first civ we played and also Dr. Volk is a legendary evil scientist.

There's a lot more I could go on about Jenny as this is 2 years of collected knowledge from so many months of civs. But to sum it up she's the young girl CEO of the most evil corporation on the planet and a powerful psionic brood leader who can control all the zombies on the planet with her mind.

Glowy Joe.

Also from the 1st civ we played back in 2012. We were fiddling with something radioactive (I think a species of glowing flower) and a mad crit later this guy comes out screaming like the devil on crack.

Quickly gained a reputation of being nigh unkillable, and best friends with Warlord Duelfist (leader of a species of mutants with one great big arm). During the battle against the Heart of the Jungle (a slumbering Brood Mother whose brood was enemies with us and attacked us via the underground tunnels her brood had dug toward us) Glowy Joe rode atop the back of Duelfist and together at the head of a paramilitary army super tanks and mobile forts charged down the fleshy abyss of the massive Brood Hive cavern fighting the very walls and legions of monsters and charging into hell itself before killing the Heart of the Jungle.

Glowy Joe and Duelfist survived our 1st civ, and continued to show up in other civs because of dice shenanigans and anon's lucky rolls. So far they've survived some of the most deadliest encounters we've seen across many civs.

Elton Skeller.

Skeleton like mutant abomination. . .thing, and leader of the Splicer brigade of mutants who we were playing at the time.

His specialty power is OBEY which has pretty much been universally successful at making anything obey him from entire armies to other heroes.

On top of that he supposedly looks like Death itself (this is a post magic setting) and his bones are as strong as sci-fi metallic alloys.

Suffice it to say the Splicers were actually some of the most powerful mutants we ever played in terms of raw individual strength, far surpassing than most anything else we've played. They died due to a HORRIFIC case of I believe multiple crit1s on a terrible choice of action that resulted in Old World satellite superweapons blasting them to kingdom come. Elton survived of course.

--

As for why they are fighting? It's been so long even I've forgotten the details, but from what I remember it's a case of ethical disagreements about the Brood and Rizal turning into a brood monster herself. Jenny thinks Rizal should grow up to be like her and Elton wants her to not be a monster (or less of amonster than she already is)

Glowy Joe probably remembers that Jenny was the "bad guy" who killed the civ he grew up in.

Or course, Joe could just be batshit insane and fight because he wants to.

In their defense the shit Jenny pulled over on them is incredible to such a level they devoted their very next civ to her destruction. Otherwise known as Adero Megacorp to countering Umbra Corporation.

War is not easy. We over think our power and under think it many times. Like the fight with the AI we had almost no military. So it makes since that it was kicking our buts. Now we have great attack power, but we are just to green.

Then once tactics kick in we really do have a problem. Yet bandits fit the style that could work for us. Don't overthink it, just send in some ducks. Hit and run to not let fights take more than a round. Man I want to do this. Yo mad guys make a rock band that kills people.

>>48085558

Rolled 22 (1d100)

First came the bots. Unlike the aimless monsters and zombies they came explicitly for us. So they attacked just as they attacked JAL. They came in an endless tide.

Our machines of war sparked to life and our infantry fought to hold the line. Even as they erupted below or stumbled upon a brood tunnel. Tunnels were fraught with angry war machines and nasty brood beasts as they fought over the tunnels. Eventually their fight spilled over to the surface.

Apparently they tried to hit us from below...but ran into the Brood.

They also went straight at the brood attacking their grown structures with overwhelming bombardment that shattered them as they regenerated. Amongst the fire and regenerating biomass the broods and bots fought.

They fought among the zombie hordes and monster swarms.

They fought while they attacked us.

They fought among the Brood structures.

They fought among the robotic forces.

It was like the grand finale.

Except they brought it to us in the attempt to wipe us out.

But just as the bots recycled and churned out troops so too did the Broods. Endless soldiers churned out of their armies into the war where they died...to be recycled once more into new soldiers who would then continue the cycle.

Despite not that it would be endless or perhaps...they simply didn't care.

Tech fought against strange brood sorcery.

Metal against meat.

It was endless.

Unlike the zombies or the monsters...their losses honestly didn't matter.

So the way they fought was unimaginable for any other being to conveive of.

They fought not with lives.

They fought with resource superiority.

They fought with intelligence.

The battles...they were just an endless play.

A game of war without end.

For how could there be a victor when both sides were even in smarts but cared not in neither lives or resources?

How could there possibly be an end?

This was something we had not realized or seen until now.

I've always wanted us grow to be a 'scale tipper' faction. That in such scenarios as this, we would try and help tip the balance by firing from far away with massive ordnance.

Supporting and fighting from the rear of a greater ally

But lately I feel we'd just be a small boy throwing stones into a river of boiling blood that chances are will splash back and kill him instead

Ironically it was with the zombies and ghouls we finally found some semblence of understanding or even sanity. Though it appeared that there was an unofficial alliance between the monsters and zombies against the ghouls and the other factions.

The ghouls...they fought with the ferocity of mindless hordes along side firing lines, vehicles, and artillery. Somehow the two despite being so different were in fact in perfect unholy harmony.

As the feral mindless hordes charged forward swarming whatever that stood in their way. The ghouls with intelligence followed, guided, and fought along side them. Ever onwards the ghouls fought feasting upon their kills and drinking their bodily fluids as they pushed onward. With such a feeding frenzy and of such HUNGER even the zombies were overwhelmed.

The zombies and monsters swarmed...but their own tactics were turned against them and the smarter ghouls exploited the resulting chaos.

Despite roughly being our number the ghouls were able to tear apart zombie and monster hordes the size of millions even billions.

To the ghouls it was just a simple and great buffet.

So they advanced and it would only be a matter of time before they ran into the bots and broods...perhaps they will tip the scales when that happens.

Bullshit.

We tried to take over a base with zombies.

We even did something we don't usually do and tried to do it ourselves instead of hiring someone else. And even as resistance was stiff and prolonged we kept fighitng.

Then from one little itty bitty we had:
>Huge massed zombie hordes
>Giant zombie massed attacks with advanced zombies and mutated zombies
>Infiltrated infiltrators infiltrating
>General troop idiocy

We definitely did reach out more, but guess what? Where we might have taken one base, we end up losing all our rich shit and now we're broke.

How can you possibly fuck up a double nat100 so bad? We would have been better off rolling a nat1 and never ever finding out about Omitar.

Do you think JAL or the Rejects lose their shit when they try to take over one single base? No, they just fucking take it over. Back at the canyons we got rich BECAUSE we delegated all war duties to the rejects.

Goes to show how utterly terrifying JAL is to other AI. That they would rather and proactively put themselves at the mercy of a BLACK AI then him.

You also tripped some security countermeasures that were previously down when you were poking around so hard.

>>48086606
You only lost some forces and a few resources. The zombie problem kept on being made worse by using EXPLOSIONS(which due to how stupid zombies are will be drawn to for fucks sake the stupid bastards have been even known walk into a fucking fire) and Psi that was shown to enrage them.

Repeatedly.

It got to the point where I LITERALLY had to bullshit a reason that wasn't player related for why those fuckups happened as they were getting repeated and amplified so goddamn much.

I mean fucking hell anons. Admittedly it was also a good story opportunity but still.

>>48086651
Would be useful. Just struggling over the threeway fight.

>>48086667
Actually past civs and quests have shown players can into combat...its just very hit or miss.

Like you fuckers come up with brilliant plans or incredibly stupid ones. Like no fucking middle ground too.
>>
>>48086687
>a few resources
Genie I think we lost more valuable resources and materials than any of our others civs saw, some of them combined.

Where are we supposed to find 7 common construction materials, 7 rare construction materiaals or 1 ultra rare constructoin material?
>>

Yeah you took on the zombies and not help the brood like I said. The reason for that was because people thought we were to weak.

The zombies became a problem do to us taking more than a turn on fighting. Once that happens shit will go south fast for players with out commanding war leaders. We will use a tactic that seems alright and it we forget things like sound for explosions will just get more to show up.

We lost all our shit because people were afraid. I said wait for Sal and guess what? Sal got us help and shit is turning out better. Yet people were afraid and went right for buying a train ticket. That's do to a lack of courage. (aka balls)

>Balls or not, we can't so much as take one little base without things falling apart.
Yeah, that's because of tactics we haven't pick up on as a group. Yet we still are doing better than other games.

>>48086620
It's a rogue like civ game. Shit will come off unfair and bs heavy. Yet will notes and learning we have gotten better.

Splicers, they had balls. The Corp Paramilitary, had balls. They got a lot of shit going for them. Jungle cultist, had balls.

Nah, even with Sal's group like I said staying in this bridge is not an option.

It was explicitly mentioned our cover was blown, even if we stayed we'd be a live target and dead ducks.
>>
Rolled 65 (1d100)

>>48086750
That's fair to think that, but we didn't need to use all our resources to get out like that. It left us with nothing to work with.

Our cover being blown was when we were a corp [assuming]. Hence the becoming bandits. Rubber ducky never dies.

To be fair, we established very early on we wanted to be artillery masters and artillery has a tendency to explode.

Action 1+2
You know, actually, how hard is it to find these rare or ultra rare materials or resources? We only got these thanks to the AI deconstructing our bases before but Sal, think you could find even a couple before the train departs? You're our best finder.

The trio who were fighting was a Team Skeller VS Glowy Joe VS SWH Jenny.

Glowy Joe seems to easily fight both sides...with nothing but curses and whatever he happens to get his hands on. He has repeatedly made even JENNY retreat with nothing but a thrown rock and really bad luck for Jenny. Including but not limited to tripping in midair while LEVITATING.

>>48086735
I am still impressed with how the Jungle Cultists stumbling upon a hidden WIN condition. Even brought out a big nasty hero and the players still beat the fucker down.

I still need to see another cultists game before I am willing to give the player pass on Cultists civs. Players have also shown they got the paramilitary civ games down.

I cannot even begin to get started when it comes to zombie stupidity. They been shown to be hilariously stupid since literally civ 1. They have also been shown to have the very similar weaknesses. There might be different zombie types and strains but a lot of weaknesses they have in common.

Zombies are bunch of goddamn utterly retarded idiots that will go after ANYTHING that draws their attention and will easily be distracted by food. The greatest danger with zombies is

>Chain Swarms

Zombies may be utterly retarded but they follow some very simple mechanics and have frankly quite common weaknesses that I go over and over again.

Yet STILL the players fuck up when fighting fucking zombies.

I mean at least with monsters it can get complicated as there is a variety of them. I swear players get screwed over more by zombies then anything else and I find this both hilarious yet sad.

Because honestly zombies are fucking easy mode as enemies. Maybe its with how stupid they are players underestimate them or maybe they think they can just take on an 'easy' enemy without much problem. I really don't know tho.

>>48086716
Construction materials are one the easiest to gain. Especially as your a megacorp which makes it easier.
>>
>>48086861
>Maybe its with how stupid they are players underestimate them or maybe they think they can just take on an 'easy' enemy without much problem
I think it's a combination of this

and also the mindset of "This extended war will be good for training soldiers" because we got an enemy that kept attacking and we seemingly could hold the line until we thinned them out and defeated them.

Nobody anticipated they would call in advanced zombies or do that giant wave thing.
>>
Rolled 50 (1d100)

Action 1
Start gathering fuel by whatever means works best

Action 2
Try to see how hard it is to get an ultra rare construction material. These things are supposedly "easiest for a megacorps to find". Use SAL as needed but "you better not miss our train"

This naturally pisses Jenny of to no end as she repeatedly gets her ass kicked by a crazy half naked madman and has really REALLY bad luck. Like accidentally stepping on a nuke which just HAPPENS to go off right then.

Or a reality tears while she attempts to power up or unleashes projectiles for them to just...vanish.

Elton Skeller meanwhile swiftly finds himself on the losing end as backup starts dropping and he keeps on taking a massive beating.

Fortunately for him Glowy Joe realizes after beating their asses for a little while that Jenny is MUCH more fun to fight.

Much to Jenny's misery and Elton's sweet relief.

However as time wears on Glowy Joe is shown to be unable to tackle Jenny while she is in her final form. Meanwhile the losses Elton keeps adding up. Soon its clear he is growing desperate.

Jenny meanwhile in her clearly monstrous and huge form is easily fighting them off. If finding fighting Glowy Joe to be an enormous pain in her ass. She is swiftly wearing down Elton.

That was when Elton does something unexpected and starts laughing as Jenny prepares to gain her victory.

"Hahahah...fucking hell. Well it looks like you really got me Jenny."

"Any last words Elton?"

"You know WHY I want you and that fucking JAL Brood gone?"

"Its because you think foolishly think she can stay a little girl Elton. She isn't one."

"hahah. No you stupid bitch. Do you think I was always this Bag of twisted bones? Think i was always a monster? HAHAH once I was very human Jenny just as you once were."

"I didn't have a choice."

"No you did...despite what might have been done to you Jenny you still had that spark of humanity left inside you. Until you put it out. I know because I did the same thing."

"But she Jenny..she still has that spark. Yet you are so intent to snuff it out of her. She may have been created Jenny been twisted but a piece of humanity...it still in there and it surviving barely."

We take the role of an organized group in the post-apocalypse. We choose actions, trying to guide our group to power while staying alive in a brutal world full monsters, zombies, raiders, and pretty much anything you can think of.

Genie, the quest master (or qm) tells us what happens based on our choices and both his and our dice rolls.

We are currently playing a mega-corporation remnant that has become a corp-bandit hybrid.

Basically a lot of horrible things have and still are happening, and we're trying to come out of it all in one piece.

You could always discuss things or make plans.

Like how to use brood or bot forces. As they can be easily changed with a few orders.

Discuss tech paths.

Discuss possible heroic combinations.

There is much to discuss. Like tactics to use against certain enemies. Discuss the known traits and strategies enemies use then counter plans for them.

Come up with a goddamn guideline that is what i do, but I can't technically share the strategic plans for enemies. The sad truth is for most enemies they follow a very simple guideline that only really gets fucked with should they have a corresponding hero.
>>
Ok gang I have an idea...while the JAL led Brood and Omitar BLACK's forces are fighting I suggest we send in salvage crews to gather whatever we can from the technology left by the dead bots. We will be able to use what we learn to make everything more effective as well as stealing little bites from that damned AI's recycling ability...chip away at what he is able to reclaim.

Now using what JAL understands about Fusing we begin to make augmented limbs for our people, no need for AI or anything to hack into. Nice simple...highly deadly and MAD robo limbs.

We've been wasting a valuable resource out there in the form of the bot wreaks from the fighting.
>>
>>48088193
Well. . .

We can start with at least rules on zombies
1 - Don't fight using noise, especially explosives
2 - Don't fight using Psy. They hate (like) it
3 - Make your battles short but brief, attrition warfare does not work. If you cannot win within about oh, 4 turns it's time to retreat
>>
>>48089209
Killzones and defenses work well, as do traps and using bait.
Perhaps weapons designed to eviscerate people would be effective, and I feel like flame or plasma spewer weapons have always been good in the past.
>>
>>48089276
We had killzones and defensive works, even additional trenches and lines of retreat.

Plus our artillery is already capable of firing flame or plasma rounds.

We employed anti-horde tactics and that was able to stal the zombie advance like a meatgrinder.

The problem was that eventually they got the bright idea to make literally giant human waves like ants do to overwhelm our firepower. I'm not entirely sure what the countermeasure to that is.

That was the plan the problem was our troops started to route and err from the plan, instead of falling back to the trenches moving away from the base they upped and high tailed it home.
>>
>>48089401
Clearly then what we need is commissars. Possibly backed by stronger defences and better drilled troops.
>>
>>48089428
Expclitly what was needed was a Commander type hero to prevent retreats.

But yes, I agree i've been thinknig of researching rapidly deployed heavy turrets and puttting them on the flanks as well as blocking detachments to shoot at any retreaters
>>
>>48089440
Honestly, all we need to do is move to a lower power level area. Yet we have chosen to move to the giant, dangerous mega-city. Rather than, say expanding back in the direction we came seeing as that region is less filled with death, destruction, massive hordes of death beasts and RAPE TRAINS.

Also an idea in regards to the zombies; deploy small numbers of non-psi troops equipped with silent or quiet weapons like cross-(or otherwise)-bows, melee weapons and such. They would be tasked with just reducing their numbers slightly and over time they'd reduce their threat.

We should also consider greatly expanding our population as we can afford to equip more troops, far, far more troops than we currently have.

Also a question for QM, can we clear an area of zombies and monsters "permanently" or at least reduce their threat noticeably (E.g when we select a starting terrain, you give stats for the different terrains and their risks. Reducing it by a "point" in that system).
>>
>>48089510
What? Afford to equip far far more troops than we currently have? Our dudes as-is don't all have power armor and shit and our guys deserve to, every one of them, be blinged out as good as we can possibly get them.

As for the small numbers of non-psi troops, we've got a SpecOps and PsyLocked SpecOps unit. We could task them with just generally thinning out zombie numbers in an area if we wanted to. This is probably something we should consider in the future.

As for moving to the Megacity...I think we're actually just moving to where ever Jenny tells us to go now. We've got our tickets, so we'll be along for the ride one way or another til it drops us off.
>>
>>48089510
Actually since we're moving to Rizal's place who knows where we'll end up.

Our population is rediculous at this point. The norm of most of our other civs was like 2k or 5k.

In both of our battles we've essentially lost the worth of many of our others civs over.

I think that's the right way to go too, silenced weapons under biggy.
>>
Im actually really happy with how this Civ has gone, I do wanna try another soon, but my word this one has done well...if not the best so far. Look what they have done to the world around them!

Later Goals:
1 Conversion of all our vehicles to the Boom Variety
2 Retraining of our soldiers under the Warlord
3 RAGE superheavy tank spam
4 Attempt Omitar tactics (see if we can build small forts scattered around with arty that can function as outposts and additoinal arty positions, or stuff like that
5 Giant Mountain Fortress

I think the Boom variety is exclusive with our RAGE turrets. Our RAGE turrets kind of solve their BOOM's problem and nullifies their strongpoint too.

All our existing and any future scavenged bandit vehicles will be converted to BOOM variety.

However, we ourselves will also manufacture our own Superheavy RAGE tanks.

>>48088193
Well, I don't know about specific tactics to use against enemies but so far in regards to battle tactics this is typically how I view things:

>Brood will be pushed up to the front as our heaviest hitters and fodders
>Our infantry and vehicles will serve as reserve rear guard equiped with long range fire to support the Brood
>Subterine fleet will be used along side MAD DIGGERS for underground OPs, making paths for flank attacks by vehicles as well as general underground combat duty + nuclear torpedos
>Mad Bombers will deliver bombs + Base will deliver firepower
>Prefabricated turrets will be built and moved by VTOL to the front, as well as heavy tanks to key locations

Regarding tech paths, putting things into image always helps.
>>
>>48092262
That reminds me I have an additional use for our sub-terrain forces; underground city construction!

Imagine something between a vault, a metro 2033 station and an actual city! Carved deep in the earth where most threats would struggle to strike and where we can expand safely and securely! Mostly...
