They didn't have any of them leave, they dealt with all of them within what would have been a single block and core set's time prior to the new two-block structure, and seem to be burning their bridges damn quick when they're saying they want a continuous narrative - if that's what they want, you don't want to completely remove one of your three big threats in less than a year, especially the one that SHOULD have been the biggest (Bolas is close, and New Phyrexia is currently planebound and won't have any more magical christmaslands to infect like Mirrodin). The worldeaters not eating a single world is kind of...dumb, even if they only had them do it offscreen or something in between blocks.
And on top of that, they went and did a complete 180 between Zendikar and Innistrad in regards to the nonplaneswalkers. Basically every named character on Zendikar lived, despite there being two Titans ravaging the place - I think between the two blocks, the confirmed deaths are Tuktuk, Lorthos, and I think that's it? Meanwhile, we've got Avacyn, Gisela, Bruna, and Olivia dead at the very least on Innistrad just from what we know already - and from what I can tell, people cared far more about the characters from Innistrad than those of Zendikar.
