Hello, /tg/.

Lately, I've had little experience finding a good in-person group, so I'm wanting to try looking for an online group. Where should I go in search of a non-sperging, non-animu, non-munchkin, story-driven group?

Ideally I'd like to play 5e but I'd be up for learning something different, so that's not a must.

Or is that an unrealistic expectation in today's online environment?

Roll20 has a game finder section, as does myth weavers I think? I'd tone down your expectations though because the way you outlined your standards makes you sound like a bit of a jackass

I'm actually pretty chill when it comes to gaming. I'm afraid I suffer from something like the linguistic equivalent of a resting bitch face.

Thanks for the reply and the advice, though. I'll keep it in mind if I post there. Will check out those forums

I think half the posters on /tg/ have this condition.

Anon please don't post the best comedy routine on /tg/.

Your best bet is forming a group of friends online through some similar interests then GMing a game.

It's no problem, in hindsight I came across as a little hostile. I think it's just a good idea to make a good first impression. It also helps if you approach games with a positive mindset rather than a negative one.

But only because /erpg/ got chased off to another board!

Nah senpai.
I still feel Gamefinder is way more hilarious on a deeply sad and autistic level.

Roll20's game finder isn't for people who have standards at all.

Understandable.
Was difficult finding a game that wasn't already full, starting months away, or crowded with people begging to be let in.

When I managed to get into a couple of games now, and 3 out of 5 of them have been pretty terrible. However, the others were great. Just a luck of the draw when it comes to people on roll 20.

Yet people still manage to find group to play with.
I don't care about your full-house you're still wrong.

There are some good players and a handful of good DMs but way way too many flakes.
