>The next World War is conducted in a turn-based fashion
Advantages? Disadvantages?
Turn 1: nukes
there is no Turn 2
Unless the turns are really, really short, whoever goes first will win.
>>47980368
So micro-turns then? Shouldn't be too hard to implement.
>>47980331
Well, that'd only last until someone noticed they'd do better if they went when it wasn't "their turn". So all of, maybe,1 second.
>Advantages?
Peaceful tea breaks mandated by international accord.
>Disadvantages?
Someone breaks the accords.
>>47980331
Advantage: This proves there is a deity who enforces the turns, assuming any attempt to break the turns is stopped with a reset, a flash of light, and yell of "NOPE" echoing through the world with a giant finger wagging in the sky for all to see.
Disadvantages: Somebody's God was real. Somebody's God was not.
>>47980331
Unbalanced due to first turn advantage. The wars already going to be a shitty unbalanced piece of shit due to OP America. EU fags whinge enough already.
The dread of knowing that when russia takes their turn you are gone
>>47983840
>Unbalanced due to first turn advantage.
What if the turns took place simultaneously?
>>47984030
>Countries of the world all turn their cards face-up
>Everyone wrote "Nuke Russia"
>>47984075
>>Everyone wrote "Nuke Russia"
Even Russia?
>>47984150
Yeah. Because you can't really hit Georgia without some catching Russian turf in the blast.
>>47984150
It was an attempt at a false-flag to justify immediate escalation. They weren't really expecting everyone else to join in.
>>47984150
Especially Russia.
>>47984202
Eh, it's a big country. I'm sure they'll be fine, if there is nothing Russia is in short supply, it's land and Vodka.
>>47980354
>nukes
You underestimate my resolve.
Advantages
No bloodshed
Disadvantages
There is no war world 5
MAD only works because everyone knew that before your nukes would hit their targets, the enemy would launch theirs and there is practically nothing stopping them once launched.
Whoever goes first, wins. It would actually be even worse, because the aggressor would send all of their nukes against the enemy launch facilities. Why bother taking out the command or government or crippling their economy in the first strike if you know they'll wait for your nukes to hit.
>>47984075
why is everyone so mad at Russia?
>>47989847
/tg/ is the oldest age demographic on 4chan. Most still remember the Cold War.
>>47990829
And also the whole slowly retaking Eastern Europe again. Well that and taking down the U.S. would be too hard.
>>47980354
Fucking turn one combos. BANS WHEN??!!
>>47990999
>slowly retaking Eastern Europe again
Can't blame a would-be super-power for wanting buffer states.
>>47980331
The biggest disadvantage would be that everyone would be using their biggest and baddest weapon in an attempt to take out the opponent before they can make their move. So basically >>47980354 this
