My token sucks. Where do you guys get/make your tokens for Roll20?
>>
Ever heard of Google, friend?

>find fantasy art
>import into GIMP
>cut a circle shaped piece that I like for the token
>paste the token on a transparent background
>scale to desired size
>save as gif
I normally make roll20 token twice as large as they need to be to preserve quality while minimizing storage space.
>>
>>47981137
I also size my tokens to 90% the square so you can see the background and make small creatures smaller to give a distinct size difference.

this is such a dumbfuck response in almost every context, but you just took it to a whole new level.

All he did was ask where you get/make your tokens. What the fuck was he supposed to google, "Where does >>47981041 Anon get his tokens?"

Just... Leave my life. Don't Talk to Me or My Board Ever Again

Make 'em in paint.NET. It's stupidly simple, and that's even with me being a retard when it comes to art.
>>
>>47979986
I drew the artwork for mine. Then a friendly fellow who was also playing in the same game kindly turned it into a token.
>>
>>47981636
Not that guy, but I typed in "Roll20 custom tokens" and it was on the first page.
>>
>>47987538
You're even more retarded. The question was 'where do you anons get your tokens', not 'where can I get any tokens', implying that OP wants recommendations.
>>
Google for monster or archetype name
Import to gimp
Optionally add filters or fuckups
Crop
>>
>>47987626
>Where do you guys get/make your tokens for Roll20?
That seems like a request for where to get tokens to me.

>'where do you anons get your tokens', not 'where can I get tokens'
Do you not understand how those are the same question?
>>

MapTool's TokenTool.
>>
>>47987716
this is what I used beforehand.
My recommendation:
> Use tokentool
> Make tokenz significantly larger than needed
becuase tokentool is not too good of a tool, but for batch processing usefull
> afterwards use xnview or some other software to batch-render the images to the smaller, desired size
> this way no ruggedy pixellated edges, as tokentool is prone to produce

However, nowadays I usually just go through photoshop to make my tokenz
>>
>>47987806
case in point:

>>47983596
>>47983569
>>47979986

all of these hav ruggedy, pixellated edges. Horrible. Disgusting.

Also, don't use roll20.

My setup is this:
> Maptoolz on one screen ( for Visualization )
> Fantasygrounds on the other Screen ( for rolling dice n stuff )

it is the best you can do, imho :)

inb4 that guy with a billion anime "girl" tokens

Not the same in regards to the comment in question. It's still a dumbfuck response to say "use google". He's asking for reccomendations. No doubt he could find websites for tokens but he wants to know what /tg/ uses.

>Eat lots of smelly taco
>Take a huge dirty shit
>Do not wipe your asshole, only cheeks
>Press butt on scanning equipment
>Scan in circle of poop from your anus
>Cut out a circle from the printout
>Use glitterglue to attach your tumblr character art on the paper
>You now have certified official roll20 token.

These are not the same question, and you are not prepared for a world that will screw you over with little word games like this.

Man, I wish I could be there when someone explains to him why Bill Clinton asked what they meant by "is."
