Anon, Godzilla is a man-made walking disaster. The Atomic Age is writ large in Godzilla's image and his creation was directly tied to the Japanese making sense of the atomic bombings, and was one of the new images heralded in by the coming of Japan's nuclear narrative.
However, most of the other monsters represent some savage force of nature, while Mothra specifically represents nature as a whole, and dislikes anything fucking it up, including Godzilla.
