Is there any tabletop game where I could play/command a squad of mecha pilots? I've been wanting a game where I do my best to command semi-autonomous soldiers that can disobey orders, flee from combat or can grow to become distinguished pilots
Also, general mecha thread

Both are clunky dogshit.
Get Battle Century G. Fate with Mecha Vs Kaiju is also applicable, especially if you splice in the squad combat rules from the Rules Toolkit

>Battle Century G
of course ! Battle Century G. Fate with Mecha Vs Kaiju especially if you splice in the squad combat rules from the Rules Toolkit ! Why didnt we think of Battle Century G. Fate with Mecha Vs Kaiju especially if you splice in the squad combat rules from the Rules Toolkit !
Because no-one's heard of it, there's no support for it and it'll be a non-existant request on the PDF request thread of any chan in 2 years time.
how on earth did we miss it !
BattleTech - Other people play it and you can get it on a PC for free to practice.
or Battle Century G. Fate with Mecha Vs Kaiju is also applicable, especially if you splice in the squad combat rules from the Rules Toolkit - natch
Isn't Heavy Gear like the original--
Oh you mean like models, not RPG. Well, you could always play an RPG more D&D style with lots of models?

What the fuck are you spazzing about?
Just fucking google "Battle Century G" and you can find a free SRD document with all you'll ever need to play.
Same goes for Fate, the basic rules and the squad combat rules are on the SRD website.
Fucking hell, do you need everything spoonfed to you, you dimwitted namefag?

what I'm pointing out to you is that if you want to play a popular game involving mecha squads, popular ones are generally better coz, well, they didnt get popular by being crap.
if you wanna play the game you wrote in your mom's basement waiting for your socks to dry before jerking off to that time Miss Sanchez bent over and you nearly saw her bra, go nuts. You probably will too before banging another one out as you dream about shooting up your school then screwing Enrique in the parking lot.
OP - choice is yours obv - one platform has other people using it, long backstory, solid mechanicsand has about 30 years behind it. one platform looks like it still needs coloring in, is a mecha rpg that needs other people to get involved with and was released 2 ish years ago, something like that Juan ?
anyway OP, download a couple, read the rules, try which ever one suits your purpose, hope you have a good time.
