Buy Realm of Heroes for 300cp (because why the hell wouldn't you?) and you're left with 300-500cp to pick up perks, Innate Talents, hopefully a set of Divine gear and a if at all possible a World Item too.
And that's only if your race didn't cost more than 300cp.
As a local however you get Realm of Heroes free and a discount on all Innate Talents, with most normal race/class combinations ending up with 2-3 talents for free and points left over to take one entire perk tree, a full set of divine equipment and World Class item.
It's a pretty straightforward difference between personal power and the resources of Nazarik at your disposal.
Given what's shown in the LN to be in the treasure rooms, which you have full access too, that's a whole lot of divine gear and world items.
