What are some good plot hooks involving Golems?

>The Golem is on a mission from a long dead king to destroy a lich. The two have been dueling for centuries.
>>

>The golem is a lecherous pervert, and wants to fuck the goblin princess, who is herself interested in the applications of stone penises.. You must save her virtue so she can be married off to the neighboring tribe and not create an incident, while your charge is quite unwilling to have your "protection".

Golem mechas made by gnomes threaten the power balance of the region. Your job is to acquire as many maces of smiting and anti-construct spells as you can to help fight the rising tide of diminutive world conquerors.

>A golem's master dies and he goes rogue, recalling all of the Master's fleeting wishes and curses. The first of which is to obtain the sacred gem of Phawn which ends in a number of dead guards and a traumatized little girl that was the sole survivor and witness to the incident. It is not apparent that this is the work of a golem at first and must be coaxed out of the girl over a number of days. During this time the golem continues to fulfill the petty, and sometimes odd, fleeting wishes of his dead master.

You ever read Battle Chasers, OP? It's the comic book that warforged were stolen from.

An indestructible golem created centuries ago has been travelling across the Badlands and collecting fellow travellers, hangers-on, groupies and a whole settlement on its body, growing larger and accreting all kinds of structures over its long journey.

Now however, the Town-That-Walks is approaching Nadirask, the imperial capital, and leaving a trail of destruction in its path. Imperial troops have been unable to stop it; imperial wizards are still trying to figure out the wards that protect it; it's up to the adventurers to sneak onto the titanic golem and bring it to a halt before it absorbs the only good (or evil, whatever) empire in the region and brings down most of civilization.

Is the golem intent on absorbing Nadirask on purpose, or is it mindlessly performing some task or ritual from a millennia ago?

A cult steals golems, grants them sentience by rituals akin to necromancy, and preparing the ground for a big revolt.
>>
A crazed demigod is turning random statues in the city into golems, undermining the social and architectural foundations of the city.
>>
>>47758890
>A Necromancer, hoping to skip all the usual steps and create an army of intelligent skeleton warriors has enacted a ritual meant to raise tens of thousands of skeleton warriors at once from an ancient battlefield.
>Turns out he fucked up. Tens of Thousands of Bone Golems were created instead. Sentient, but without prior life memories.
>They beat the Necromancer to death and now are conquering the land, seeking to create a Golem Kingdom of their own.

>A demigod of salvaging and beachcombing has created two junk golems to patrol his favorite beach. Now they fight an endless war against diabolical globsters and sea-gryphs, disrupting the local cultures quite a bit.
>The kingdom's prison consists of a volcano and waaaaaaaay too many tophets. The PCs are arrested by an overfed, overpaid, and/or oversexed sheriff. Red-hot hilarity ensues.
>The king's personal toilet is actually a golem he rides into battle. The king is also completely buttfucking batshit insane.
>Giant bears armed with slings are attacking, and the unwise wizard Pokerinduhbutt needs five teenaged PCs with attitude! And GOLEMS!
>>

>After a century of servitude the golem has had a spiritual awakening. It now travels the countryside preaching the word of Jesus.
>Rabbi Shekelstein has hired the PCs (with a promissory note) to retrieve it.

A local alchemist has been irresponsibly dumping waste chemicals into the local sewers. The mixing of the volatile magical ingredients has caused some of the sewage to animate into a mindlessly violent golem which has been responsible for a number of murders in the lower city. While the alchemist is already under arrest, the players must eradicate the golem before it can cause any further damage. Yet be careful - the putrefying sewage creates a cloud of toxic gas around the golem which will complicate your assault.

Make the golem an old-school, jew-magic monstrosity. They always end up turning on their creators after causing all sorts of havoc, and just tend to be difficult in general.

Remember though, by the old rules, you need a really good reason to create a golem. So whomever the golem is sent to kill is probably a massive cunt and totally deserved it.

What if one of his wishes was to sleep with some princess, would the golem kidnap her and her rescuers would find the golem rubbing a screaming naked princess against the wizard's corpse?

Near death, a wizard tells his golem to take an important artifact and hide in the forest. It takes itself deep into the groves, sleeping for hundreds of years as it waits for the rest of its instruction. In the time that passed the rainforest has become a dense swamp and family of small fae have come to live in the hollow casing of the protective golem. Now the world is in need of the object it has kept dear, but it is unable to move through the swamp for fear of sinking into the mud, and it refuses to give up its charge without its master's instruction. It has also grown quite attached to its little family and feels obliged to help them the same way it served its creator.

I've been running something similar to this in my campaign, only it was an earth elemental and it was just a chance encounter.

What is the golem's ultimate attack called?

The Golem is searching for another Master, but has no criteria for selecting one so all he does is search and search, attacking anybody who prevents him searching.

He searches for something he can not find.

One warmongering kingdom A's top Wiz has uncovered the means to control a legendary war machine - an ancient golem in the form of a walking fortress. His investigations have both activated and summoned it to his tower in the mountains outside the capitol of A, though he is as of yet unaware of his success. Unfortunately, the fortress has spent several hundred years as the palace of nearby kingdom B, its true purpose forgotten. Now it is lumbering implacably through the lands of kingdom C, with king and court still trapped in its swaying halls, appearing by all accounts to be the vanguard of an invasion force.

Can the players catch up with the fortress while surviving pissed of wildlife and furious locals, rescue the king, prevent the outbreak of war between kingdoms B and C, and prevent this juggernaut from falling into the wrong hands?

At least tracking it will be easy...

/r/ing that one screencap of the ancient golem that tends to a garden but the locals think he's a bad omen or whatever.

I believe this is the one. I do love how easy it is for me to find specific screen caps based on how I think I'd name them.
