the music is the best qualitys of modern electronic music combined with charming rebellious swing music, so probably a prohibition era setting with advanced weaponry and a little magic?

It's called Decopunk. It works better for 'punk', too, than 'Steampunk', because the average guy coulda survived against the Krauts and has a wider range of sociability due to the 20s vibe, but the dark forces - defeated enemy nations, civil wars world wide from Red to Purple, exploration of the antarctic and north poles - also gives a bit to do. Space stuff can also feel more in line. Stuff like late game Lords of the Smoky Skies in Civ V, Even Death May Die, and the like.

I always loved encountering those things in Infra Arcana. They were super easy to kill if you got a good angle to approach them from, and they dropped electric gun ammo.
With enough electric gun ammo, you would be able to actually kill 2 or 3 of the 15 hunting horrors that spawn in the last two levels.
