So what would pic related fantasy classes be /tg/?

Go ahead and use D&D or Pathfinder.

Green Lantern is technically a fighter, but thematically more of a paladin (complete with a custom oath). It would be a bitch trying to represent his powers. You could make him a wizard and do some really heavy refluffing, but then you need to give him high INT, and that won't do. Maybe a warlock?

Martian Manhunter is a mystic.

Superman is an open-hand monk, but you could play him as a devotion paladin.

Wonder Woman is a battlemaster fighter.

Batman is a thief rogue/open-hand monk, but shadow monk fits too.

Aquaman is a champion fighter, but ranger suits him.

Flash is whatever min-maxed combination gets you the most speed.
>>
>>47582480
Superman's player is a nice guy that everybody likes, and he just happened to roll max stats and roll the rarest race in the game.

Class wise, probably Paladin, but his stats are so obscene that he can hang with even the T1 classes.
>>
>>47583701
This
>>
>>47582480
They're all Paladins with incredibly broken feats added to them, except Batman, he's a Lawful-Good Monk since he has no magic powers.

Green Lantern could be seen as a Lawful-Good fighter instead of a Paladin, since he gets his power from a magical weapon (the ring) instead of power from within himself and he has a military background. I'd still place hi mas a Paladin, though, since Emerald Twilight is basically a Fallen Paladin story, and boy does he fall hard!
>>
>>47582480
Most of them are just Fighters or Rogues with really overpowered Magic Items or Racial Templates.
>>
>>47583701
Between the two, I would say GL would be more of a Light domain Cleric

>>47584356

I do like how a paladin class fits Hal very well. Pic very much related.

Speed means jack shit and beyond 40 or so is literally useless in D&D, specially in 5e

Superman is Wizard, because he can do anything better than anyone.
Everyone else are irrelevant.

>Not getting speed 60 by level 6 as a Wood Elf Monk and being even faster than a horse, then proceeding to use Mobile to literally hit everything you want in melee while being untouchable unless an enemy actually wastes the time readying an action to attack you.

The Speed Force laughs at your ignorance.

I prefer to move at light speed and deal hundreds of d6s in other systems thank you with one punch, you know, like a proper speedster. Also you aren't immune to ranged attacks, our last monk with mobility died like that because he angered to many enemies at the same time.

This isn't /co/, so I'm not having that argument. But he is a monk. He's super mobile, punches hard, and occasionally does weird shit like phase through things. He's obviously just playing the hypothetical platonic version of D&D where all the classes are competitive work each other.

Under 3.5 rules: Psion (Metacreation). Psion (Psychometabolism). Ridiculous custom class that's basically Unarmed Swordsage/Sorcerer combo with ridiculous homebrew race. Paladin. Rogue/Ninja/Artificer multi-class. Barbarian. Fighter/sorcerer who only casts Haste and Expeditious Retreat.

They'd all be gestalt or double gestalt classes with obscene ability scores

>>47588850
Flash is a monk who goes around speaking about an all encompassing force that is the source of all the multiverse. The Speed Force even allows students to transcend oneself once you have embraced it. You got to admit the Speed Force sounds like something a fantasy monk would be following.

Of course the Flash has discipline, Barry is the only speedster that breaks the trope of the unfocused and hyper speedster.

The idea that Superman, who has a thousand years of combat experience, and training from three of the best fighters on Earth as well as Kryptonian martial arts that NO ONE ELSE knows, "doesn't know much" is insane.
>>
>>47594112
Depends on the Superman, most of them, specially the canon ones barely had any training and that shows when he fights against people like, I dunno, Diana who's weaker but an actual fighter, or Batman when Supes gets temporarily depowered by kryptonite or red sun, fuck, even Dick Grayson as a Robin beat him once in that situation (red sun light) and we're talking about a 11 yo kid.

Barry and Clark in most iterations have barely any actual combat training and they rely entirely on their powers, just like Spidey.
>>
>>47594112
>thousand years of combat experience

So not canon and only on one Superman. Exceptions aren't the rule.

he's usually had training from at least one of the other members of the league. comparing him to batman isn't really fair, superman can be a skilled fighter without being as good as one of the best martial artists in the world.
>>
>>47594740
He had training but years after forming the League and after being a well known and established Super hero unlike Batman, Diana, Hal, Arthur and Jonz who had the knowledge and training before being heroes because either belong to a culture of warriors or were brought up in a military organization.

If you prefer Superman is an Expert X/ Fighter 2.

Really? Let me know when they lift infinity.
>>
>>47594972
1. That Superman is no more
and
2. That's years and years after him forming the league and being an established hero. You basically are saying that Spider-fu is an intrinsic skill of Spider-man even when he developed it 2 years ago after 50 years of comics, no, just because 2 years ago Peter developed the Spider-fu doesn't turn Spider-man into a monk since day one.

So, DC is ripping off Futurama now?
>>
>>47595079

Martial vs Caster, just because you can lift more than a caster doesn't turn you into better than anyone.
Flash is faster than you, can travel in time, can freeze you in time by taking your speed, can make you explode by giving you too much speed, his clothes are made of speed, outran death itself, etc. Woopidy doo you lift infinity? who cares.

What is a T1 class?
>>
>>47584013
>Class wise, probably Paladin, but his stats are so obscene that he can hang with even the T1 classes.
In my first 3.5 game ever (and literally my first D&D game ever) I rolled three 18s, two 16s and a 14, then added the +2 from human (homerule) to one of those 18s ending in 20, 18, 18, 16, 16, 14, total modifier of motherfucking +21. Rest of players got like a total modifier of +10 tops. I, because didn't know better and because I'm really into unarmed combat and managing by yourself without needing equipment, went Monk.

Starting from 3rd-4th level I was already useless.
>>
>>47595172
With all the crazy physics bullshit Superman can do, you think he's martial? Let me know when Flash seals holes in reality with his own static electricity.
>>
>>47596329
He actually does seal hole in reality, by running around them.
Let me know when Superman saves an entire city from a nuke that already has exploded in the middle of said city.
