The former males or the current ones?

It was very much a product of the 90s. So much so it feels more dated than some stuff written decades earlier, which is why I think a lot of modern readers are disappointed by it.
...But at the time it was fucking amazing. It tapped into the cultural zeitgeist and where we thought the world was headed in a way that's difficult to understand in retrospect.
