Would this work on a d20 tabletop, /tg/?
Maybe, although it'd also work in better systems.

Anon, I like mountain blade too, but you have to think about what the fuck you're rolling those skills against. Without a system behind it, those are just meaningless numbers.

I don't know, the specific level up scaling of WB (+1/+1/+10, level cap 40) looks better on a d20 perspective to me.
Keep in mind I'm talking about HIGHLY sandbox games in a generic feudal world with no magic at all.

If I was running a Mount & Blade RPG I'd take the setting and use a different system.
I'm not sure what system though, since I don't tend to play no magic fantasy games, but trying to convert video stats into tabletop stats isn't usually a good idea.

And that's exactly what I'm asking. I mean, how possible it is to actually create a pnprpg system based on this one? What's the better dice for it?
Should one add more mechanics, like feats, army sheets and such?

Start by picking out the precise details of m&b that you want to emulate at the table. Obviously you don't want everything otherwise you would just play the computer game.
Also think about what the tabletop version will handle better than the computer, and what things from tabletop you want to add in.
Riddle of Steel.

I've heard blade of the iron throne is supposed to be its successor. Is it better or worse?
>>47530049
Blade of the Iron Throne is garbage, despite being the supposed "successor" it completely misses the entire point of Riddle. Song of Swords is one peddled on /tg/ that's in active development on these boards and is an overcomplicated mess. The only attempt at a "successor" game for Riddle that's any good is Band of Bastards but you need to include "rpg" in the Google search or you'll get nothing but porn. Also it's unfinished.
Honestly just stick with Riddle proper until BoB is further along.

it's clearly just a percentile system for combat.
Only way I can see skills and attributes working is attributes being the target for a roll under dice pool, with the dice pool being 1d10 + number of skill points.

>INT 5
Not to interrupt the wheel reinvention party you guys are having, but Mount & Blade is already a system. It already has game mechanics.
Just use Mount and Blade's game mechanics.

I don't think you understand the difference between video games and tabletop RPGs.
