Welcome to the flake thread!

Previously:
There's a new flake plane. Avacyn's death was dumb and sad. She's the hero we want, but not the one we need right now. Innistrad vampires are retarded. New flakes. Memery.

Previous thread:>>47488934

I'm going to respectfully ask that we avoid calling anyone who criticizes our flakes Chillbrass. I'm also going to respectfully ask that we avoid criticizing lore-breaking flakes for more than 10 posts. I'm all for creativity, but generally these posts just tend to repeat the same arguments again and again and shit up the thread. Some shitposting is to be expected. But too much makes the thread not worth it. So let's all work together to make the flake thread better.

Writefagging last time:

Nishal gets and assignment from Belloski. Del's included: >>47489244
Gaia's story finally ends and Belagir's begins: >>47506587
Anna gets screwed over by Belloski...again: >>47519097
Rhaeshilér and planar shenanigans: >>47523384

REMINDER:

If you want ANYTHING to go in the repo, just summon me. Otherwise I will only put writefagging and sheets in the repo.

Also, I added the blank template to the ALL FLAKESHEETS folder.

To summon me simply say
>OP OP, I SUMMON THEE. PLACE THIS FILE IN THE REPOSITORY.
And I will come.

OI, CUNTS.

Wizards made an article today pointing out all the connections between SOI art and the Eldrazi. Unless it's a giant bait and switch, they've pretty much confirmed that Emmanuel is the big bad of SOI.
>>
>>47526193
Hey Snow anon, just wanted to say the Anna and Symon again in the throne room has been scrapped and is slowly being replaced by the story from the last thread.
just putting that out there
>>47526260
proof please
>>
>>47526260
if wotc is posting a thing ABOUT it and not outright SAYING it, considering one of the biggest tropes in mystery (which is what this set is meant to convey) is the bait and switch. So I'm pretty set on it being b+s and not two blocks in a row of eldrazi bullshit.
>>
>>47526284
http://magic.wizards.com/en/articles/archive/feature/something-twisted-way-comes-2016-05-30
You have google, too, y'know.

>>47526294
It's not outright saying it, but I personally doubt they'd go through the effort of making the art Eldrazi-themed, then make the plot involve people who sealed them away, etc, etc. just for it to be a bait and switch.
>>
>>47526386
I know. I'm just super salty about the eldrazi, because as much as they tried to be all "inspired by HP Lovecraft! So spoopy! Look, we did the tentacle thing and everything!" it just. Didn't. Do the HP Lovecraft thing. It felt way more like War of the Worlds than ANYTHING Lovecraft, and the fact that they're gonna ruin (imo) the plane that would best do HP Lovecraft by adding in their stupid eldrazi to it right after we left the plane that by and large proved that people don't really want that many eldrazi things running around feels like a major copout on what could have been a genuinely awesome reintroduction of Lovecraftian horror done right the first time - Marit Lage, the proto-eldrazi that actually had a Lovecraftian feel to it.

Emrakul has been hinted at being the bbeg the entire set. Just look at the Clue Tokens.
>>
>>47526386
and it was posted by someone who isn't in creative or a full time employee of wizards.
So this is probably just to build hype instead "Emrakul confirmed."
What would be nice is if they did this for every one of the theories that are floating about the internet.

It also kinda feels like it's not really a mystery if basically everyone's first guess was "oh, it's Emrakul."

OK GUYS.

THe Repo has been updated. Check to make sure all of your stuff is there.

Also, an important update.

I've added three new folders to the Repo.

One is for the character description pdfs, one is for flake planes, and one contains a copy of all blank flake templates. Let me know if there's anything else I should add.

At least your angelfu got three cards, one of which is downright retarded, as well as a proper sendoff.

Mine met the fate of people that Stalin didn't like.

I hate nu!Boros.
>>
>>47527487
Wait, which one?
>>
>>47527526

I'd assume Feather.

Which is still super-bullshit, because everyone wanted Feather to get a card in RTR and instead we got fucking Aurelia.

And I am kinda annoyed that Crazy!Avacyn in A Gaze Blank And Pitiless still sounds only MARGINALLY worse than Aurelia does when completely lucid, but there's no indication anyone's even thinking about taking Aurelia out of power.
>>
>>47527526
Aurelia would be my guess.
>>
>>47527546
You're correct, it's Feather.

The thing that I like/don't like about Aurelia is that it shows that angels on Ravnica aren't exactly automatons, since they can have distinct personalities and character flaws. It just so happens that Aurelia is a holier-than-thou cunt who doesn't actually have any moral high ground to stand on.
>>
>>47527601
At least she's hot, tho.
>>
>>47527622
Feather is by definition hotter.
>>
>>47527655
True. But such is life. We're not allowed to have good angels. They only die.

At least Reya is probably still alive.
>>
>>47527565
I meant Razia. Not Aurelia. My bad. >__>
>>
>>47527546
What confuses me is why we didn't get a Feather card as like, the Guild Champion or something. In the original Ravnica, Jarad fell by the wayside because there were three significant Golgari characters. Savra won out on account of being a villain, and you couldn't just not make the Golgari legendary the leaders, so the Sisters of Stone Death got in. Feather got the same deal, with Agrus Kos being the main character and Razia being the Parun and guild leader.

Now, that block did do stupid shit in reverse, like having fucking nobodies like Tibor and Lumia, Circu, and Tolsimir Wolfblood in instead of the Izzet characters that actually made it into the stories.

When they made RTR and Jarad got in, I was happy to see that since the dude needed representation. Feather should have gotten in as well, but no, and that's the problem. They also had a second chance by making the R/W alternate commander Feather in the 2015 EDH decks, but again, they blew it with a nobody called Anya. Then again, they couldn't even make Anya useful, so I think we dodged a bullet there.

I do find it funny that Orzhov has nothing to offer in terms of new characters, so we just got Teysa and the Ghost Council again.
>>
>>47527546
I was legit disappointed that Aurelia suddenly existed, when it was implied that we had no more angels other than Feather.

That picture makes me feel slightly ill. Idk, seeing Avacyn like that just turns my stomach, it's the main reason I can't stand to see Descend Upon the Sinful, her blissful expression as she basks in the screams of the humans as they're butchered is just... so wrong. It's not Avacyn, not on any level, to see her twisted to be such a being is horrifying in so many ways, regardless of your opinion on her.

>"What do you believe in, human?" Ormendahl sneered. "My followers bow before my glory because they recognize my kind are the rightful rulers of this world. Our triumph is carved in its beating heart. You worship a shadow cast on the wall. A false glitter of hope, conjured by a meddler playing at being god. Even when the lie is exposed, you cling to it? Embrace reality. BOW TO ME."
>"Maybe it was all a lie," Thalia said quietly, staring up at the hulking demon. "Avacyn, and hope, and a victory over the darkness–maybe those were all lies we told each other so we could make it through each night. Maybe this bloodshed and madness is the reality. Well, it strikes me as a pretty poor one. And that's a funny thing, when you think about it. We're just fools believing a lie, if you're right. But we believed in it strongly enough to beat your "real" world back, again and again. That's why I'm going to believe. I'll fight for Avacyn even if there is no Avacyn anymore."
>Ormendahl laughed contemptuously, raising a claw to strike Thalia down, but paused as a sound like falling rain split the sky; thousands of voices like chimes, raised in wordless song.
>The cryptoliths bent and then ruptured as one geyser of white light after another shot into the sky, weaving together over the shocked army of cathars.

>>47531264
The issue there is that Avacyn would never have attacked him if he just left her alone, why does he need Olivia? If it's an army he needs why can't he use Thalia? Thalia isn't that strong and Sorin can mind control planeswalkers nevermind random cathars, if Olivia is going to make unreasonable demands, find another army. Hell, Geralf is viable too, he'd have every reason to help considering Nahiri is working with his sister. Sorin asked the first person he could think of and they asked him to murder his daughter and he didn't even think to try getting other help? Sorin just seems criminally stupid to me, even if he was dead-set on vampires asking the Stromkirks seems like it would have been a better idea too.

The guild that mostly has territory down there is the Golgari, which use it for farming.

There are also all manner of terrible creatures (particularly of the insectoid kind), along with some shades, horrors, and more.

Varolz, the Scar-Striped hangs out down there.

I wrote a story that had two ending, one where she went crazy and one where she didn't. The ending where she didn't is the canon, basically Anguished Unmaking happened which stopped the link that was affecting the angels then her spark ignited because she was super-duper-mega sad. In the alt version it happened earlier so she wasn't snapped out of it and went all flameblade angel.

Mostly it was just the fact that she couldn't really help much during SOI because if she got too close to an area were Avacyn was she'd be unable to hold off the madness, she also couldn't bring herself to fight any insane angels when encountered which probably led to humans dying when she could have saved them.

Q: I know that Angels do not have reproductive organs, because they are made of magic. Avacyn Restored brought in cards that can change creatures into Angels. So the question is, are those newly transformed angels losing their ability to reproduce?

A: These sorts of posts are vaguely creepy to me, I must admit. Angels can’t reproduce at all and have never been able to (except in cases of extraordinarily powerful magic, etc.).

From an old Q&A after AVR.

I imagine that it has to do with the fact that angels are mana constructs. They don't have genitals because they aren't actually biological, and they therefore don't need to reproduce or have reproductive organs.

Same. I got legitimately depressed after the art for Anguished Unmaking got spoiled. I was pic related. Something about fathers/father figures having to put down their children always gets me. And this one was done particularly tragically.

To this day, I have no idea how I got so attached to this character. It does not make sense to me.

>>47534503
I was basically destroyed by 'A Gaze Blank and Pitiless' for me it's because Avacyn was something that helped me deal with my chronic depression, better than any medication ever did. Naturally that means that I was unreasonably attached to her which is why this hit so hard. To be honest the plush my fiancé got me helped so damn much, when I got sad I could just hug Avacyn and it made it so much better, I didn't even cry when she died.... I just cried buckets the next morning as soon as I woke up.

So thanks WotC, now I'm back on medication.
>>
>>47534486
Well at least titfucks are possible
>>
>>47534608
Sometimes people just need an ideal to look up to. And that Avacyn was your ideal, that is just fine. I think growing up the fictional character that was my own ideal was Galadriel.

Fun fact. Studies indicate that we humans are strongly affected by fiction, because there is a part of our brains (the part used to determine if an object is alive or not) that is fooled into thinking that fictional characters are real. It is why we can empathize with them and become attached to them. And your case is proof that their loss can imitate the loss of a real person.

Brains are fascinating and SOI is sad.
>>
>>47534678
Yeah, I know people would probably think it silly but just having something you can look up to is really important when you're trying to overcome things like depression. I used to get panic attacks but I found if I held my Avacyn pendant and thought of her it calmed me down and eventually I just kind of stopped having them. The important thing is not that they're real it's that you have something you can use to help you through things, it's all psychological which is unfortunately a double-edged sword. Obviously I know rationally that Avacyn isn't real, but that didn't stop me from feeling very real pain when I read what was happening to her, that was compounded when Anguished Unmaking was spoiled so early, if she'd at least had hope for redemption it wouldn't be so bad but there she was wings still stained with blood, dying. It crushed the hope and denial I'd been building up, that's why I started writing, it gave me a good positive outlet for my own feelings through a character that would feel the same way towards these events.

I'm sort of happy that it doesn't hurt as much now but I worry that I've just become jaded.

>>
>>47536118
agerfish here, dominance fluctuates between them but I feel his personality is more red/black in goals, but blue/red in practice, so red pops up most
>>
>>47536118
I've got three two-color flakes, but the question is an odd one. However, it is causing me to think about card design. In theory, if your flake has multiple colors and they are in relatively perfect harmony, then the mana symbols of those colors would be even. But if one stands out more than the other, then it would be unequal.
Anyway, here's my flakes:

>Remes
Probably more blue than black.
>Cala
I can't make a call on this. Maybe she has moments where she is more one than the other, but that's like flipping the switch between "nose in a book" and "causing trouble." Which she does both of, plenty.
>Jakrol
More black than red, but not so much so that I would give him more B than R in his mana cost. He falls into the category pretty well.
>>
>>47536118
>>47536232
>Design and color balance

You know, it's interesting too, because the shards and wedges that people try to draw examples of for doing three-color characters aren't balanced. They all have a focus color that is different from their four other counterparts, with the other two being secondary focuses.
>>
>>47536118
Starke was meant to be strongest in white, but she seems to be very red judging by the comments I got.

>>
>>47537210
Most 'return to hand' cards have a theme of the victim being swept away by the sea, the wind or any sort of storm whenever they aren't magically unsummoned. If you target a natural creature that wasn't summoned with such a spell, I just assume that the magic drags them away from the fight and deposits them mostly unharmed elsewhere.

How the magic does this depends on the theme of the card. See Clutch of Currents, Compelling Deterrence, Consuming Vortex and Cyclonic Rift. One sweeps the target away in a rush of water, the next terrifies the target into fleeing the battlefield, the next is a magical portal that teleports the target elsewhere and the last one is a magical storm that pulls a Wizard of Oz on its target.
>>
>>47537324
So would the aetherizing ones just straight up kill their target?
>>
>>47537397
I'd personally say that the Æther-based ones would only work on creatures summoned forth from the Æther, since they have a big theme of unsummoning stuff. I personally think it's a bit of flavor screw-up on MtG's part and it's one of those mechanics that doesn't fully fit the setting.

I guess the safest assumption is that those spells just displace their target if they're not conjured from the Æther, somewhere reasonably far from the fight. It could even trap them in the Æther for the duration of the fight, unless they're freed by the appropriate expenditure of mana. I guess that's a better theme for those spells.

If it straight-up kills a non-summoned target, then that would make it a conditional kill spell in blue which doesn't fit the color, even if this is just the lore we're talking about.
>>
>>47536118
>Gaia
I'd always imagined they were balanced, but if I had to choose, probably green.

>Mommy Dearest
This is a tough one. She displays both green and black very strongly. But again, if I had to choose, maybe black. She's super sinister to anyone that isn't one of her spawn.

>Belagir
Green. Definitely green. He'll learn to balance it out as he grows.

>Razorcock
I cannot judge a flake of that magnitude, lest he come and murder my family in their sleep.
>>
If your flake had the opportunity to kill one other flake, which would it be and why?
>>
>>47537612
>Nishal
pick any one of the phyrexian-allied walkers. for obvious reasons.

>Iosha
there's not really anyone on the main flakesheet that strikes me as a nemesis for her; however it would probably be a Grull walker bent on the destruction of all civilization. We have one of those, right?

Adventures in getting screwed by Belloski
“If their lord has taken up residence somewhere within the city, we should be able to launch an attack on the city and free everyone they've captured.” Hina sounded like she was working through the details as she spoke them, and then looked at Anna. “Nikita, I'm sorry to ask this: but could you help with this assault? I was told what you did for everyone already, and we need all of the help we can get.”
She paused for a moment, reminding herself that this would lead to more problems but also she had no idea where to go so “Sure,” Anna responded, “and I'm sorry, but my name's Anna.”
“Oh, alright,” Hina nodded, looking a little put out, and picked up a saber, “lets rally the troops then.” She tried to sound upbeat and left the tent with her saber in hand, Anna following close behind. “Can I have everyone's attention?” Hina called out as she left the tent. “Soldiers!” She yelled and activity came a screeching halt in the camp. “Soldiers, line up!” She was displaying a completely different personality than from before. “Officiates, we are going to launch an offensive to retake the town from the Merfolk and find our captain!” She began pacing back and forth as she spoke, Anna didn't know if it was nervousness or to make sure her people were paying attention. “Three teams of four will enter the city and stick to the alley ways, while a fourth team of two act as bait for the Merfolk.” Anna had a bad feeling about this. “I've been told that they are taking prisoners to their lord, so the bait team will be there to lead the other three to the Merfolk's leader. Now I couldn't order any of you into that vulnerable of a position in good conscience, so our special advisor, Anna, and I will be acting as the bait for this operation.” So that's why she had the bad feeling, Anna crossed her arms as Hina kept talking to her men.

Adventures Part 7?
Anna focused on establishing her mana bonds with other planes as Hina went around the soldiers to tell them where she wanted them, eventually the acting-captain came over to her. “Thank you for volunteering to help,” Hina said with a slight smile, “I know that we can do this, together.”
“Thanks for volunteering me,” She responded with a smirk.
“Do you want a sword before we go in?” Hina asked. “For when we have to fight?”
“Nah,” Anna waved one of her hands in Hina's direction, “I've got my own toys.” With that, the two of them set off into town with the other teams following from a safe distance. “Hina, what's going on here? Why are merfolk attacking the town?”
“I don't know,” she admitted, “but they first starting coming out of the sea around the time Ulub took over Asimdean.”
“Ulub?” She asked “You mentioned him before, what did he do?”
“Y-you don't remember?” She seemed a little put down by that revelation.
“Hina, it's called amnesia for a reason, and- looks like we've got company.” Their conversation apparently drew the attention of some Merfolk who approached with spears looking like they were ready to skewer the two women.
“More soft ones,” one of the merfolk said, “and it looks like they're the soldiers too.”
“That one,” another became agitated, “I recognize her, she might be the killer!” Anna grimaced as the other one kept shouting. “See? Guilt! We kill her, tell Lord she resisted.”
“Lord wants all soft ones alive for hostages!” The first one yelled, trying to force his authority and the second merfolk. “he'll decide what to do with the killer!”
The rest of the merfolk were making scary sounds, though she imagined it was supposed to be like they were yelling something distinct to people who didn't know the language or have a spark. “What's going on?” Hina asked Anna while keeping her hand away from her sword.
>>
>>47537666
8
Anna didn't want to say anything since the merfolk would be able to understand her as well as Hina, but the situation seemed to be escalating. “Sorry, but I demand a parley with your lord, and yes I\ speak your tongue but you're never going to know how unless you take us to see him this instant.” In that moment all of the merfolk fell silent whether they were actually saying something or making scary noises.
“She is blaspheming against the water dragon by muddying our tongue!” the second one yelled, once more emphatically stating his desire to skewer her.
“Quiet before I skewer you!” The first one yelled. “She will have a trial when we bring her to the lord!” He jabbed his trident at Anna, ending it inches from her throat. “You, you and your friend will come quietly.”
“Fine fine,” Anna held up her hands in a surrendering positions, “take me to your leader.” She leaned over to Hina before whispering. “I've always wanted to say that.”
“Why?” Hina was walking with her hands up as well. “You seem to be taking this really well.”
“Meh, Symon would understand what I was talking about.” She got a sharp jab in the back and glared at the merfolk responsible.
“No talking!” he admonished her, so they spent the rest of the walk in silence.

They arrived at what looked like docks with several humans and some bird like people in cages. A large Merfolk Anna assumed was the lord sat on some boxes as a makeshift throne “More Soft ones, the dragon will be pleased by this sacrifice.” He laughed, slapping his knee. Anna shot Hina a look and knew she really didn't need to translate.
>>
>>47537681
9: What's the difference between smug and sass?
“YOUR LORDSHIP!” The Merfolk who was intent on killing “This Soft One has killed more than one of us and she muddies our tongue by speaking it, I demand she be executed at once!”
“I demand trial by combat!” Anna blurted out all of the sudden. “I beat all of you, you let everyone go and withdraw!” There was the roar of a dragon, but it seemed eclipsed by the laughter of the lord which went on for a few seconds straight. “I don't think he's going for it.”
“We care nothing for your martial prowess girl!” He jeered at her. “We will break your bones, and you'll be the first sacrifice.”
“That's too bad,” Anna shrugged , “because I had a smug one liner ready and everything.” With that, a Hellkite Tyrant swooped from the sky, roasting a good five merfolk including the corpulent lord with its fiery breath and the three teams of officiates burst out of hiding to join what was quickly becoming a fight.
The one who had spared Anna previously rounded on her and threw her to the ground, ready to skew her, but in a moment Anna hijacked the mind of a nearby merfolk using her control magic to run his own spear through the first merfolk. The first looked to the mind controlled one as Anna's magic faded before letting out a weak “why?” and expiring in his distressed comrade's arms.

Out of all of them, Ka'koarm would probably have the biggest beef with Immubruo, who seems to desire dominationg and snuffing out the land-dwelling world. As much as Ka'koarm would like to see the sea rise, the sheer value of ambitions quelled and freedoms taken from such a feat would invariably attract the ire of the angerfish. It's actually a fight I think I might actually like to see too, both put emphasis on big, beefy sea critters, and I think the idea of two dominaria-born water-walkers duking it out would be neat, since they'd have at least a common basis for the home they'd be fighting for.

Gaea is a goddess worshipped on Dominaria. She is believed to be the plane's protector and its creator, and many elves and druids worship her. While never physically appearing, her existence seems to be confirmed by many individuals, and it looks like she assisted directly in protecting Dominaria during the Phyrexian Invasion. In "The Myths of Magic"'s short story The Lady of The Mountain, Fiers helped her create the world (both Fiers and this story's canonicity are debatable). In prerevisionist continuity, she was just a green based planeswalker reverred as a goddess, in a similar fashion to Freyalise.

Oh, I don't want him to leave either. I very much prefer different tastes in creativity. It's just off putting when people cry and say they don't want to be apart of something just because they don't like someone or their stylistic choices. o__o
>>
>>47543048
And?
>>
>>47543026
>>47543061
I wouldn't call the conversation really pleasant, considering how condesending you are towards me with "sweety" and "if you are done whining" and stuff like that. Also I never called you immature, dont know where you got that from. But seemingly you absolutely refuse to see anything wrong with what you are doing, so I will just stop. Even if I listed that stuff, you would just say that I am whining about nothing or that I am chillbrass. Thats how you guys always do it if your "stylistic choices" are criticized.

Not that I actually contribute much either to the threads, so obviously I am a lesser person than you so I should just be talked down to. Atleast I have mostly chosen to stay out of arguments like these and stick as a silent observer if someone happens to mention my flake somewhere. If this is the direction how everything is treated in these threads, I will just stick to being silent and never say or comment on anything, until these threads die for good or something.

Sorry for taking your time, I guess.
>>
>>47543104
So there was no point in continuity where she was both a planeswalker and the soul of Dominaria, who no one ever saw in a physical form.
What I wonder is if you are simply a troll who feels the need to post a new flake every thread to derail it.
>>
>>47543176
Being obnoxious and unpleasant is typically due to being immature.

I call people petnames all the time, like sweety, sweets, honey bunny, and sir forth. Just my thing.

If you think having a class of "guardian" or "lord" is wrong, then how come? It's not like I'm making up creature types. And seeing as the character is an oldwalker, I like to think she would have an old type that might not be prominent any longer.

When have I ever called anyone Chillbrass? You keep saying this. o__o

And The only thing I think you're whining about is making a deal over using an outdated class. Which is rather trivial, no? But, I will always listen to what you have to say. And I'll always listen to your criticism. I just prefer you just act like it's your opinion, which it is, and less like it's the law. It's a bit much.

I never said nor do I treat anyone as being lesser than myself. I don't see anyone like that even if they are being a niucense. Not that you are, I'm just saying.

And now why are you being so emotional? Have I called you any bad names? Have I offended you or insulted you anyhow? You seem to be thinking that everything anyone has done bad here is all what I'm doing to you right now. o__o

>When have I ever called anyone Chillbrass
He's confusing you for another anon because of similar posting styles. One of the downsides to an anonymous board, I'm afraid.
>>
>>47543272
No. And I don't know what makes you think my flake is a troll. I just liked the idea of a worldsoul as a planeswalker. So, let me get this straight... Urza can create his own plane. Everyone accepts it. Our very own Gaia creates a plane, and everyone praises it. We have multiple Avatar flakes, and people are fine with it. But, I make a worldsoul that has a spark and all of a sudden that's crossed the line?

How come you think that's where the shit hits the fan?
>>
>>47543462
Okay. This makes a bit more sense. Thankies for the clearification. :3

Reminder that your Walker is shit and you should feel like shit.

>>47543403
I already admitted that you are superior. You won. You should feel pride. Thanks to this being anonymous, I can just go back to my passive non-commenting. Its like this meaniehead who talked bad things about you never existed.

But looks like I have to explain why am I making a deal about the whole outdated class thing? My flake originally had a class. It was a class that wasnt in the card game. The class was not even listed in the original flake sheet even when my flake was added to it. I was bit confused by that, but then I realized that, good heavens, people are following the card game creature type classes. So I just took away the class from my flake, since this was for the better. End of story. This made me hope that others would only make their flakes have currently supported classes only as well, or let them be classless. But like I said, I am the lesser person here, so this obviously doesnt matter. Rats dont give humans their laws.
>>47543472
If I can be totally honest, I wasnt particularly fond of that bunch of avatar flakes either, but I just didnt say anything because I knew my critique would be bombed down.

But now I will fade for good. Sorry for taking even more of your time.
>>
>>47543523
Don't worry. I do.

Thank you for reminding me of my inferiority, great Plaguelord. May all be one.
>>
>>47543608
I can take criticism, friendo. Fire away iff'n you wish. Don't be gentle.
>>
>>47543608
The thing is, if I made changes like you'd want, then it'd just be a Gaia ripoff. And I wanted parallel, but not something just outright appropriating her character. I like the idea of a plane that created an avatar of itself being severed from her dying plane when The Mending happened.

What would you have done differently?
>>
>>47543668
Gaia-chan!

Please tell me whatcha think of my new flake! Good or bad welcomed.

>>47541501
>>47541512
>>
>>47543668
Not sure why I should critique you? Gaia making her own plane? Did you make the avatar flakes that appeared recently? I admit that I just skimmed over their profiles simply due to them being avatars.
>>47543731
I wouldnt have done it at all. I prefer flakes that are simple and humble. Not making entire planes, being embodiments of things, I like flakes just being people. But if your flake idea becomes just a Gaia ripoff if you just take away the "guardian" word from there, you should see atleast one of the issues already.
>>
>>47543800
>Simple and humble
I know that this isn't what you meant to say, but interpreted literally, hardly any flakes would exist.
>>
>>47543800
>Did you make the avatar flakes
Oh, opps. No I didn't. I thought you were iincluding my faggoty domain walker as an avatar, because that's what she's listed as on the snowsheet.

Ignore me, I'm dumb.
>>
>>47543800
So, you only think that "guardian" as a class should be taken away?
>>
>>47543769
In a minute. On my phone.
>>
>>47543837
No, I think there are tons of "simple and humble" flakes already.
>>47543856
You should never be ignored. You are active contributor who tries to not act like an ass. That makes you valuable to these threads in my eyes.
>>47543864
Considering its not a supported class, yes. But you implied that if its removed, your flake becomes a Gaia ripoff. That means there must be something else wrong with it too, not just a word. But thats what you said, not me.
>>
>>47543906
I thought you wanted me to change other things the other anon was saying also. My bad anon. :3

What was the class you originally made up that got removed?
>>
>>47543948
I'll be honest, I really dont care what else your flake is. The entire worldsoul being a flake thing is already so iffy to me I would rather not accept it, but this is just me, so I'll just shut up and go away. Only thing I actually got bothered by was the class thing, since classes obviously matter in MtG, considering the whole "great creature type overhaul" thing they did.

I cant say what the class was. It would tell too much and I wouldnt be able to continue anonymity.
>>
>>47543472
I am not really fine with all of the avatars.
And there is a difference between an old walker creating a pl a ne and the soul of a world somehow having a spark and not dying when the world died.
>>
>>47544009
You act like just because you slide to something that you did in the past that you can't just fade into anonymity once more.

I tell you what, you tell me the class you made up, I won't go trying to dig up a flake sheet of your's, and I'll give you a list of the handful of flakes I have. Dealio?
>>
>>47543906
>No, I think there are tons of "simple and humble" flakes already.
I mean... I don't see it. It takes all kinds, and there are some flakes that could be called this, but a lot of them have bigger goals or ambitions. Whether it be for glory, domination, or to unlock great secrets, it's hard to call a lot of the flakes "humble."
>>
>>47544042
I'd like to see different races as flake. We have so many humans and elves. It's nice to see a change up.
>>
>>47544089
Just thinking about it, are there any simple and humble Planeswalkers that have cards? I can't think of any.
>>
>>47544064
My class would be a dead giveaway since no one else would stoop so low as to use that class.
Honestly, just forget the entire thing. You are better off without. I am not worth it.
>>47544089
Well, I guess we just see it differently then. Just by having "small" goals or ambitions doesnt necessarily make the flake simple and humble. Its all about how the flake is built.
>>
>>47544146
I wouldn't ask if I wasn't interested. And it's not like I'd make fun of you or anything. I just like to see different forms of creativity.
>>
>>47544089
Dunno anon, flakes like Granny, Ginger or Murdock look pretty simple and humble.
>>
>>47544259
If I can chime into this convo for a sec, I like a good spread of flakes. From peon to prince, so to speak.
>>
>>47544186
And I will say I am not worth it. You wont get much from a simple word.
>>47544259
>>47544314
When I say simple and humble, I dont mean that the character's personality has to be simple or humble. Peon or a prince flake can be made simple and humble.
>>
>>47544367
I'm going to regard "simple and humble" as a synonym for "generic and boring".
>>
>>47543403
>When have I ever called anyone Chillbrass? You keep saying this. o__o

4plebs is a thing. I could point out several posts with an almost identical style to yours, that are part of a chain connected to snowflakes that you have made, that accuse people of being Chillbrass without any direct evidence.

At this point you're outright lying about what you've done in the past to try and make yourself look more favorable.
>>
>>47544314
>>47544089
I'd like to think Serena is fairly humble, as angels go she was pretty low powered and has several character flaws, though I guess you could consider wanting to be happy on Innistrad a pretty grand ambition.
>>
>>47544367
Then what do you mean with it actually?
>>
>>47544416
Then go ahead. Do it anon. I'd like to see this.

And don't do what some anon claimed before and said that every flake that was made on an apple product as all having the same creator.
>>
>>47544407
But thats not correct either. But I am just a random anon so its not worth arguing about with me, so regard it as you will. Not like I can change that.
>>47544432
I guess the concept of simple and humble character-creation is really something I just made up in my head and has no basis on reality. Ignore the whole thing.
>>
>>47544259
>>47544424
I didn't say there were no humble flakes. I suggested that a very large portion of the flakes don't fall into the category "simple and humble."
>>
>>47544472
>http://archive.4plebs.org/tg/thread/47448388/#47464488
That post is part of a chain that criticizes Salem. Just over a minute later, since you're allowed to post once every 60 seconds, this post is also made:
http://archive.4plebs.org/tg/thread/47448388/#47464518
Then there's this:
This conforms to your style of writing as well and is part of a chain of posts that criticize you in general. And then there's this, which is pretty much irrefutable:
Whoever posted this identifies themselves as the maker of Desdemona and accuses someone of being Chillbrass all in one post.

And those are just the ones accusing people of being Chillbrass, rather than whining in a general fashion about Chillbrass. But hey, I guess all of these posts were just impersonators.
>>
>>47544611
Or that was Chillbrass trolling.

Just because I outted Chillbrass, doesn't mean I call everyone that.
>>
>>47544611
Also, it seems anytime someone starts spouting that reanimator crap, it always happens to be Chillbrass. Or do you think that's wrong? Because he seems to be the only person who cares about referencing that flake or it's anon.
>>
>>47544146
>Well, I guess we just see it differently then. Just by having "small" goals or ambitions doesnt necessarily make the flake simple and humble. Its all about how the flake is built.

What I really meant by saying peon to prince was more to say "humble to grand". As in, all scopes are covered; from a walker who's just some guy trying to get by, to a walker who ends realities.
>>
>>47544834
Oops. Meant for>>47544367
>>
>>47544707
>When have I ever called anyone Chillbrass? You keep saying this. o__o

The question wasn't whether you call 'everyone' Chillbrass, it was whether you 'ever called anyone' Chillbrass. You did it at least once and you're admitting that now.
>>
>>47544834
I really am trying to say that both of the types you mentioned can be done well. It doesnt always have to be a manifestation of plane's grief given form or fallen god or something like that. If you want a flake that wants to end a reality, it doesnt have to be something that would be considered Mary Sue in any other fiction.
>>
>>47542025

This, and the fact that humanity most assuredly cannot survive without protection like Avacyn provided, are things that make me really worried the answer to "how will they fix this?" is "they won't. Innistrad will die because Zendikar lived."

Let's be real, Arlinn is kidding herself if she thinks humans and werewolves will ever coexist.
