This quest, as the title suggests, takes place in the world of Dragon Ball. You're playing as a twelve year old boy named Tofoo, and will adventure through the story of the Dragonball series alongside characters such as Goku, Yamcha, Bulma, Tien, and many others. Through your actions, you can make significant changes to the story, and perhaps even become the strongest fighter on Earth.

At the end of each update you'll have ten minutes to vote on options. Write-ins are allowed, but I do reserve the right to veto them.
In the event of a draw, the option to receive the next vote wins
Rolls will be used on certain occasions, such as attempting a technique for the first time or attempting something extremely difficult. You will have three rolls, and if one succeeds, you succeed. There are no crits.
Rolls are made AFTER an option wins, not during the voting process

The Flying Nimbus speeds above the mountains and valleys below, Goku controlling the cloud that helps the two of you zip through the sky.
It's a beautiful day, and the two of you are in high spirits as you move toward the island of Master Roshi, who had agreed to train the two of you in martial arts.
The last time you saw the old master, he destroyed an entire mountain with his powerful Kamehameha Wave. You wonder what else you could learn from him as you draw closer.
Goku decides to do a little fancy flying, dipping the Nimbus down to fly through a canyon, and then up the side of a mountain.
When you pass the peak, you can see the vast ocean spread before your eyes, shimmering beautifully. Goku flies the Nimbus out over it, and soon you spot a small speck on the horizon.
"There it is!" Goku says excitedly, bringing the Nimbus down toward it.
You see that the island is very small, mostly covered by a pink building with the words "Kame House" written on it.
Goku brings you in and hops off, excitedly announcing that the two of you are here.
There's no answer.
"Huh, where is he?" Goku asks.

You decide to look through the window.
As you head in that direction, you hear a woman's voice.
"One, two! One, two!"
Looking in through the window, you see an exercise program on television, where a pair of women are lying on their sides lifting their legs up and down.
In front of the TV sits Master Roshi, who looks positively entranced with what he's watching.
"One, two, one two," he repeats to himself. "Ah, aerobics, truly a gift from the heavens!"
"There he is," Goku says happily from your side, hopping through the window. "Hello!"
"Yes, keep on going," Master Roshi says to the television, not seeming to know Goku is there.
"Master Roshi?" Goku asks, getting closer to the old man.
You hop through the window as well, watching as Goku circles Master Roshi, who still seems oblivious to his presence.
Goku takes a deep breath and shouts in Master Roshi's ear.
"HEY, MASTER ROOOOOOOOOOSHI!"
Goku laughs as Master Roshi's entire body goes stiff, and the old man covers his ear, finally registering that someone is there.
"Oh, Goku, it's you," he greets, finally snapping out of it.
"We're here for training," Goku explains.
"We?" Master Roshi asks, looking around until he sees you. "Oh, right. Not now, I'm doing my morning workout."
He turns his attention back to the television.
"Master Roshi, I'm hungry," Goku whines.
Master Roshi points to the kitchen. "The refrigerator is in there. Grab something you like, like I am."
Goku heads for the kitchen.

You take a seat on the couch as Goku makes his way to the kitchen, and Master Roshi continues watching his workout show, not seeming to be doing any working out himself.
The old man laughs to himself as he watches, rocking back and forth as the women on the television stretch and bend.
After a few minutes, the program ends, with the two women on the television waving at the camera.
"See you tomorrow morning, buh-bye!"
Master Roshi shuts off the television, leaning back and letting out a deep breath.
"Good one," he comments before standing up and stretching.
He looks over at you. "Is Goku still in the kitchen?"
Master Roshi walks toward the kitchen, screaming when he reaches the doorway. He runs into the kitchen, and a moment later, you hear him shout.
"I've been ransacked!"
You're guessing he didn't know just how much Goku could eat.
He comes walking out of the kitchen, Goku coming shortly after. Your friend has a messy face, and his belly seems to have swelled from eating so much food.
"So, what was it you two came here for?" Master Roshi asks.
"Well, we're done hunting Dragonballs for now," Goku says as he takes a seat next to you. "And you said you'd teach us martial arts."
"Oh, lessons," Roshi sighs. "How pleasant."
Goku nods. "And we can stay for a while. I brought lots of stuff!"
Master Roshi walks to the window, taking a look outside. "Did you by any chance bring that girl?"

"Bulma?" you ask. "She went home."
Master Roshi snaps his fingers. "Drat!"
He steps away from the window and heads for the kitchen.
"Should we have?" you ask from the couch. "She's not the one who wanted to learn how to fight."
Master Roshi comes back into the room with a glass and a can of beer. He pours the beer into the glass and gulps half of it down.
"You could stand to learn some manners, my boy," he says as he takes a seat. "So, you two want to learn martial arts? I'll tell you; it's no Sunday picnic."
"We don't mind," Goku assures him. "We know we'll have to train hard to get stronger than you."
Master Roshi burps. "Both of you boys need to learn some manners."
Goku laughs.
"You know, my lessons don't come free," Master Roshi announces. "You two boys must find me a young gal. It's the only way I can start training you!"
"Okay," Goku says, leaning on the table. "But what's a gal?"
"A gal!" Master Roshi repeats. "A fun girl I can go on a date with!"
"Oh..." Goku says. "That's kind of weird."

"All things in time, my boy," Master Roshi tells you. "It's a test. If you can't carry out this simple task for your master, you don't have what it takes."
"So, if we find this girl, then you'll teach us?" Goku asks hopefully.
"Oh, yeah!" Master Roshi promises.
Goku laughs and runs out the door. "Come on, Tofoo!"
You follow him outside and hop on the Flying Nimbus.
"Now, hold on, boys," Master Roshi says. "Are you sure you know what to look for? A stallion like me has very specific tastes."
"You want someone who will be your friend, right?" Goku asks.
Master Roshi rubs the back of his neck. "Yeah, that'd be nice. But I do have some other guidelines. I'm a sucker for nice skin. She can't be too young or too old, and she has to be funny, got it?"
"That's a lot," Goku tells him. "But what's her skin have to do with it?"
"Uh...well, I guess that's a lesson for another time," Master Roshi answers.
You and Goku fly off on the Nimbus, reaching the mainland after a few minutes. The two of you fly over a village, and Goku points down below.
"There's a girl," Goku says. "Do you think Master Roshi would like her?"
He's pointing to a very tall, round woman who is lifting large weights in each hand.

You tell Goku that you don't really think that's the kind of girl Master Roshi wants, but he should try it anyway because you want to see how he reacts.
Goku has the Nimbus circle the village. He looks back at you, confused.
"Why wouldn't Master Roshi like this girl?" Goku asks. "What's wrong with her?"

"No, we're not getting Bulma," you answer.
"How come?" Goku asks.
"Well...because it would be rude," you explain.

"You remember that show Master Roshi was watching when we showed up?" you ask him. "Someone like the girls on that show."
"Oh....gosh, you sure are smart, Tofoo," Goku tells you.
He looks around, then points at the nearby ocean.
"There's somebody!" he shouts, direction the Nimbus toward the water.
As you get closer, you see a pretty young woman with long, purple hair swimming in the water. She's wearing a red shirt, and seems to be having no problem swimming despite being so far out.
"Do you think Master Roshi would like her?" Goku asks.

"I don't know, let's go ask her," Goku says, bringing the Nimbus down to the young woman.
"Hello!" he greets with a smile.
"Hello, there," the woman greets pleasantly.
"I'm Goku, and this is my friend, Tofoo," Goku introduces.
"Hello, I'm Melody," the woman says. "Is there something I can help you with?"

"What are you doing all the way out here?" you ask her.
"I'm a mermaid," she explains.
"What's that?" Goku asks.
"Well, it means that I'm half human, half fish," she tells him.
She dives beneath the surface, and a large, green tail rises from the water. It goes back under, and she resurfaces.
"See?"
"Well, would you come and meet our master?" Goku asks. "He's looking for a friend."
"Well....alright," Melody says. "Where can I find him?"
"You can come with us on the Flying Nimbus," Goku tells her. "But only if you have a pure heart."
Melody nods, and leaps from the water, landing on the cloud between you and Goku. It's sort of a crowded fit, but you all manage to make it work as Goku brings the Flying Nimbus back toward Master Roshi's island.
When you arrive, Goku hops off the Nimbus and calls for your master, who runs out wearing a red suit and a pink turtle shell.
He stops when he sees Melody, his eyes going wide.
"Goku, Tofoo, come inside," he instructs.
You and Goku do as he asks, and he peeks over your heads to stare at Melody.
"So, is this girl your type?" Goku asks.
"Oh, yeah," Roshi answers. "I'd say you boys hit the jackpot!"

"Melody, huh?" Master Roshi asks. "Such a pretty name."
"So, does this mean you'll train us?" Goku asks.
"Sure," Master Roshi says. "Training...let's begin the lesson."
Goku gets an excited look, and you prepare yourself to begin your training.
"I want you boys to ask Melody if she'd go on a walk with me," Master Roshi explains.
Well, so much for that.
"How is that training?" Goku asks.
That is one of the smartest questions you have ever heard your friend ask.
"Do you want to learn or not?!" Master Roshi snaps.
Goku runs off toward Melody.

His face turns red. "A swim? Everyone knows that's a second or third date activity. I like the way you think, my boy, but that may be moving too fast for the young lady."
"I'm back," Goku says, coming inside. "She said she won't walk with you."
"What?" Master Roshi asks dejectedly. "Why not?"
"Well, she said she'd have a much better time if you went for a swim instead," Goku explains.
You see blood shoot from Master Roshi's nose, and he grabs a tissue to wipe it away.
"What now?" Goku asks.
"Now I go accept her invitation," Master Roshi tells him.
"Hi!" he shouts as he walks over to Melody.
"Hello," Melody greets.
"Are your legs tired?" Master Roshi asks. "Because you've been running through my dreams."
"Pardon?" Melody asks, lifting her tail. "I don't have legs."
Roshi falls onto his back, sitting up and wiping his face.
"So you're a mermaid, are you?" he asks.
He stands. "Well, I'm like a turtle, and you're part fish. So, what do you say we go inside and learn more about our species?"
Melody punches him in the face hard enough to break his glasses, then dives into the ocean and swims off.
"I get it!" Goku says. "The lesson is to keep your guard up!"
"Exactly," Master Roshi groans.

He takes off his broken glasses and puts on a new pair. "I'm glad Goku, at least, paid attention to the first lesson; never leave yourself open to attack!"
"Got it!" Goku says happily.
"Excellent," Master Roshi says. "Now, for your next lesson, you will find me another young gal, very much like the last one, except for the fish part."
"What? Again?" Goku groans.
"I told you, martial arts are not easy," Master Roshi says.
"Okay," Goku says, smiling. "Hey, Master Roshi, someone's coming this way."
"Huh? Is it Turtle?" Master Roshi asks. "I should have known he'd come to spoil my plans!"
You look out at the ocean and see a shape approaching. You think it's a person on a small boat.

"Were you expecting anyone?" you ask Master Roshi.
"No," he answers. "I wasn't."
"It's someone in a boat," Goku announces.
The person lets out a yell, leaping high into the air and flipping over and over as he comes to the island. He's dressed in yellow, carrying a purple bundle, and appears to be completely bald.
He soon lands...head first....and his head is buried in the sand. He kicks his legs, and you can hear muffled sounds coming from below the ground.
"Who's the goof?" Master Roshi asks.
The person keeps kicking his legs.

You walk over to the person and grab their legs, pulling them out of the sand.
They end up on their hands and knees in front of you, coughing up sand. They glance back at you, then quickly hop up and wipe the sand off their head.
"Yeah, ha, thanks," he says as if he didn't need any help.
He turns his attention to Master Roshi. "Ah, you're the great Master Roshi, right?"
"People tell me that," Master Roshi replies.
"Master, my name is Krillin," the boy introduces. "And I've come all the way from a village in the East. Please allow me to be your humble student and learn to fight like you."
"Well, that's a very long way to come," Master Roshi tells him. "But unfortunately I don't train every boy who shows up at my door. Sorry."
Krillin gets a strange glint in his eye.
Master Roshi notices it, and looks at the boy with new interest.
Krillin produces a magazine with a naked girl on the cover of it.
"Maybe some quiet reading will change your mind?" Krillin asks smugly.
Master Roshi snatches the magazine from his hands and flips through it, laughing to himself.
"I brought it just for you," Krillin says before looking over at you and Goku. "So who are you two? His pupils?"
"Yeah, I'm Goku," Goku answers, pointing to himself.

"I'm Tofoo," you introduce.
Krillin nods, taking a moment to get a good look at you and Goku, seeming to size you up.
"How'd you get here?" you ask him.
He smirks, looking extremely smug. "Well, I ran across the desert, and through a jungle, then paddled across the ocean. It's pretty far, but it was no big deal for me."
"Wow," Goku says, sounding impressed.
"So, you two don't seem like you'd enjoy fighting," Krillin comments.
"I like marshmallows," Goku tells him.
Krillin chuckles. "What's that got to do with anything?"
Goku laughs. "Well, I'm hungry, and your bald head looks like one."
Krillin frowns, then turns and yells at Goku.
"WHAT DID YOU SAY?! DON'T YOU KNOW THAT EVERYONE WHO'S SERIOUS ABOUT MARTIAL ARTS SHAVES THEIR HEAD?!"
He calms down, and points at Master Roshi. "Look at Master Roshi, he shaves!"
Master Roshi glances away from his magazine. "Nope, I'm naturally bald."
Krillin frowns, and Master Roshi closes the magazine, standing up and stretching.
"Krillin, after careful consideration, I've decided to take you in as my student," Master Roshi announces. "But only if you go help Goku and Tofoo find me a girl. I trust you know the kind I like?"
Krillin chuckles smugly, that glint in his eyes returning as he whispers into Master Roshi's ear.
"That's it!" Master Roshi says excitedly. "Right that put down!"
"I know my master's tastes," Krillin assures him.
"Then what are we waiting for?" Master Roshi asks. "Hop on that Nimbus Cloud and find me a date!"
"Nimbus Cloud?" Krillin asks.
"Yeah, that's what I named him," Goku explains, hopping onto the cloud.
"You named a cloud?" Krillin asks incredulously.
"Come on, jump on up," Goku encourages.
"Well, okay," Krillin says, jumping onto the cloud and immediately falling through it.

You laugh as you hop on the Nimbus.
"You must not have a pure heart, Krillin," you say.
"What are you talking about?" Krillin asks as he stands up. "And what's the deal with that cloud?"
"Only those with pure hearts can ride the Flying Nimbus," Master Roshi explains. "Which means you're hiding something from us!"
Now, Krillin looks scared. "Don't hurt me! I just have some magazines I'm not supposed to read!"
"You mean there's more?!" Master Roshi asks excitedly.
Krillin places his purple bundle in front of Master Roshi, opening it to reveal a stack of magazines like the one from earlier.
"I didn't show you because the first one seemed to do the trick," Krillin explains. "Take them all, I don't want them."
Master Roshi grabs them all and flips through them one by one. You notice one has a naked man on the cover, and when Master Roshi sees that one, he nearly vomits, and tosses it aside.
Master Roshi nods. "Krillin, I still want you to find me a girl. Hang on to one of the boys so you don't fall, and go help me find a date!"
"Yes, master!" Krillin shouts, jumping up on the cloud and hanging tightly onto Goku.
He cries out in fear as the three of you climb into the air, crossing the ocean and quickly reaching the mainland.
"I wonder where we should look," Goku says.
"How about somewhere less high in the air?" Krillin asks nervously.

Krillin sighs in relief.
Goku listens, and the Nimbus descends. The problem is, he does it so fast Krillin nearly goes flying off.
"Slow down!" Krillin shouts. "You know if I lose my grip on you, I'll fall right through this cloud."
"Well if you stopped thinking bad thoughts, that wouldn't be a problem," Goku tells him.
"Fat chance," Krillin retorts.
"Do you guys think Master Roshi would like that lady over there?" Goku asks, pointing.
"You mean I have to look down?" Krillin asks fearfully.
You look over the cloud, and see that Goku is pointing at a farmer who is obviously a man.
Krillin points that out to Goku, who in turn asks how he can tell.
"They all look pretty much the same to me," Goku explains, causing Krillin to look at him like he's insane.
"You're joking, right?" Krillin asks before looking at you. "He's joking, right?"

"I see..." Krillin says, staring at your friend like he has two heads. "You really can't tell?"
"Well, I can usually figure it out," Goku tells him. "I just have to touch them first."
Krillin narrows his eyes. "In case you haven't figured it out, I'm a boy."
You search for a while, before Krillin asks to stop so he can use the bathroom. Goku lands the Nimbus, and Krillin goes to a nearby bush.
After about thirty seconds, Goku starts walking after him.

"How come?" he asks.
You give him a brief speech about privacy before Krillin comes back. The three of you hop on the Flying Nimbus and resume your search.
After a while of finding nothing, you hear what sounds like a scream somewhere in the distance.
You and Goku look down and try to find its source, but Krillin assures you that it's probably a bird or something.
That's soon shown to be wrong, as you find the source of the screaming.
You spot a pair of police cars, and two men with guns pointed at a blue-haired woman who is on her knees looking absolutely terrified.
"There," Goku says, pointing at her.
"But, that girl's being attacked," Krillin points out.
"Shouldn't we do something?" Goku asks.
"Yes, well, that would be the heroic thing to do," Krillin answers. "Except, we haven't even had our first lesson, and they've got guns and handcuffs. I'd say our odds are pretty lousy."
"Well, in that case I say we should move in quick," Goku says, directing the Nimbus toward the girl and the police.
You and Goku jump off, with Krillin hanging on Goku's back. The police turn to face you, looking shocked and afraid.
"What are you?" one of the officers asks as Krillin scurries for cover.
"I'm here to save that girl!" Goku announces.

"I'd just like to point out that this was their idea, and I am not involved," Krillin tells the police. "I fully respect you guys."
"You must be crazy if you think I'm gonna give up catching Launch because some child stood in my way!" one officer shouts, pointing a gun at you and Goku.

"Why do you want to capture her?" you ask. "She looks terrified."
"Terrified? Please, Launch is one of the most dangerous criminals there is," the officer tells you. "And I know dangerous, I met that Toriyama fellow. She's robbed banks and trains, and killed anyone who's come after her. Now we have her right where we want her!"
"Oh, my....I did all that?" Launch asks.
You aren't buying this story. You look at the woman, and you see that her fear is genuine, and her eyes are quite innocent.
You pick a rock off the ground, and hurl it as hard as you can at the gun the officer is holding. The rock knocks the gun from his hand, and you're able to run forward and take him out with a kick to the jaw.
The other officer prepares to shoot you, but in doing so leaves himself open for Goku to take him down with a quick punch.
"That wasn't very hard," Goku comments.
"Oh, thank you very much!" Launch says, standing up and walking over to you and Goku. "I get so very frightened when I look at guns!"
You can get a better look at her now. She's very pretty, with a ribbon in her hair, which is a darker blue than Bulma's. She wears a low-cut top that also shows her belly button, and short shorts.
"It was no problem for us pros," Krillin brags, coming from his hiding place.

"You're pretty," you tell Launch.
"Oh. Umm...thank you," she says politely, the expression on her face telling you she really doesn't know how to respond to that.
You ask her if she'd be alright with meeting your master.
"Well, okay," she says, giving a little smile.
The four of you climb on the Nimbus, with Krillin holding onto you this time as Goku sits in the front and Launch sits in the back. You keep feeling Krillin shift, and you assume it's to look at Launch.
"What?" the girl asks in confusion.
"We REALLY appreciate you coming home with us," Krillin tells her.
"And where is home, exactly?" Launch asks.
"We're staying with the Turtle Hermit," Goku explains.
"Turtle Hermit?" Launch asks.
"Yep, he lives on a little island in the ocean," Goku tells her. "He's kind of silly, but we like him."
"How nice!" Launch says with a smile.
It doesn't take long for you to reach Kame House, but somehow, during the trip, Krillin switches spots so he's hanging on to Launch.
"Look, Launch, there it is!" Goku says as the four of you approach the island.
"Oh, it's so pretty," Launch compliments as you arrive.
"Yeah, I'm still getting used to the pink," Krillin admits.

You tell Krillin that you think it's an off color too as you all get off of the Nimbus.
"Hey, Master Roshi, we're back!" Goku shouts. "There's a girl here who wants to meet you!"
Surprisingly, there's no response.
"How come he never answers the door for us?" Goku asks you.
Krillin smirks. "It is possible that he's just using the bathroom."
Yeah, that makes sense.
"Why's he taking a bath?" Goku asks.
Krillin sighs and comes close, whispering to Goku that "using the bathroom" is just a polite way of saying "using the toilet".
"You mean he's taking a poo?" Goku blurts out. "I'll go tell him to hurry up, okay?"
It seems he's already forgotten your lecture on bathroom privacy.
Krillin turns to Launch. "That Goku's not one for manners, is he?"
"Krillin, Tofoo, you still haven't told me why I'm here," Launch reminds you both.
"Yes, well I'm not really sure myself," Krillin says, though you're pretty sure he's lying. "Master Roshi is a lonely guy who likes to think he's a stud. So we just need someone to play along and feed his ego."

And tell her that even though he'll try to score, nothing is really gonna happen. But the way a 12 year old would say it.

You tell Launch that Krillin's pretty much right, and Master Roshi will want to go on a date with her.
"A date?" she asks. "I don't know..."
You assure her that nothing will happen, since Master Roshi is kind of a goofball that doesn't really know how to talk to girl's.
Krillin comes over and asks how you know that. You tell him about the mermaid that was here just before he showed up, and how she punched Master Roshi in the face and left.
"Well, I don't think we'll have that problem with Launch," Krillin says with confidence. "She seems way too nice."
"So, does this mean I can hide here while I'm running away?" Launch asks hopefully.
"Running away?" Krillin asks. "You mean from those guys who were attacking you and pretending to be police officers. Who were they really?"
"They were real policemen," Launch answers.
Krillin's eyes go wide. "And why would the police be after you?"
Launch thinks a moment, then looks at the duffle bag she brought with her. She opens it up, revealing stacks and stacks of money.
"I can't say for sure, but judging by all this money, I probably held up a bank or two," she says. "I can't really remember much. The police said...something about a train?"
Krillin laughs. "Oh, right, you're a train robber. You expect me to believe that? You're so silly, Launch. Robbing trains and stuff is for big strong guys, and you're a pretty girl."
"You might want to watch what you say, Krillin," Launch cautions. "When I sneeze, I change, and terrible things can happen."
She giggles somewhat uncomfortably.
"You mean like a runny nose?" Krillin asks.
"HI!" Master Roshi shouts from the window.
"Oh, my goodness, you frightened me," Launch says, looking toward the window.

"This is Master Roshi," you tell her.
From inside, you hear Master Roshi happily declare that he's making you, Goku, and Krillin his students from this day forward.
He comes outside and says hello to Launch.
"Nice to meet you, sir," she says with a smile. "My name is Launch. Your grandsons saved me from a whole lot of trouble today."
Master Roshi looks at the three of you. "Is that really true, boys?"
The three of you smile and chuckle happily.
"Yes," Launch confirms. "I can't thank them enough."
"All in a day's work," Krillin says with a smug smile.
"I'm glad your safe," Master Roshi tells Launch. "But, to be honest, they're not my grandsons."
"Oh?" Launch asks.
Master Roshi nods. "They're my younger brothers."
You, Krillin, Goku, and Launch all fall to the ground.
Launch gets back up and laughs, with Master Roshi joining her.
"Funny joke, wasn't it?" he asks. "Actually, I'm the Turtle Hermit, Master Roshi. The world's greatest expert at martial arts! These three boys have come to train under me."
"Martial arts?" Launch asks, smiling again. "That explains why Goku and Tofoo are so strong."
"Yes, I'm happy to hear my lessons made a difference," Master Roshi says, looking at you and Goku.

"But, you haven't taught us anything yet," you tell Master Roshi.
Goku nods.
"So, anyway, Launch," Master Roshi says, changing the subject. "Since you're my special guest and all, how would you like to take a romantic walk around my island paradise?"
Launch looks around. "Well, it doesn't look like a very long walk. Alright, that sounds...pleasant to me."
"You-you mean it?" Master Roshi asks in disbelief. "Oh boy!"
He begins dancing around with excitement.
"I think he liked that answer," Krillin comments, laughing.
