>Summary: Year is 1983, Lord Voldemort was "killed" by the Boy Who Lived one year ago. You are John Apise, only child of a rich pureblood family, you started Hogwarts last year. You love potions, herbology and magical beasts. You played as the Seeker last year in the Ravenclaw Quidditch team but you couldn't win the Quidditch cup. Your house though won the House Cup, which is not a small feat. You stopped the half vampire DADA professor at the end of the year and saved your friends lives. You are now in your second year.

>Second Year so far: You went to Bordeaux with your dad and met with the new DADA professor there then you attended a Quidditch friendly match with your friend Tim but the match was disrupted by the attack of Death Eater remnants and you duelled with one of them briefly before he escaped, you started the second year in the Hogwarts and managed to get in the Quidditch team again as the Seeker, you are a member of the book club, duelling club and your friend Valdis' astronomy club.

>Last episode: You attended the Book Club, Gryffindor lost to Slytherin in the Quidditch and Glenn read your fortune with a Turkish coffee and you decided to write a letter to the girl you met in Bordeaux.

It's almost the end of November. The weather is getting colder everyday. Today is cloudy and gray. Almost about to rain.

You get ready with your teammates, wearing your Ravenclaw team shirt and getting your broomstick ready. Team captain Anthony is giving some inspiring speech. He says it is very important for the Flitwick to beat the Hufflepuff.

When everyone is ready and it's time, you all leave the changing room, walk through the tunnel and enter the Quidditch pitch. Everyone takes their positions on their brooms and slowly start to levitate and fly.

The whistle is blown and the match starts. Ravenclaw vs. Hufflepuff.

Roll 1d10. I'll accept the second roll.

Well that's not particularly bad
>>

The thunder roars in the sky as it starts to rain. The Ravenclaw is really flying like eagles today. Hufflepuff is yet to score, and it's 60 to nothing.

Tim is particularly well playing today. You see the Hufflepuff seeker. "He is not that good" you tell yourself. The last year's match is still fresh in your memory. It was the cup's final. The score was even. You ended up hitting the ground and getting unconsicous while the Hufflepuff won. You will not let that happen again.

With a quick move, you start to descend in a lightning speed. The cold wind dances with your hair while the wet rain drops hits you on the face. You don't care. You hear the commentator shouting your name and crowd cheering. The Hufflepuff seeker also realizes your movements and dives.

Too bad for him, you didn't see the Snitch. You descend more and more. Just as you did in the Slytherin match last year. And suddenly break the descend and go up. You pull the perfect Wronski Feint. The older Hufflepuff seeker is way too slow for it. He dives and dives and when you suddenly stop, he couldn't. He hits the sand ground. He doesn't look like injured, thankfully.

Roll 1d10. I'll accept the second roll.

You leave the poor Hufflepuff seeker behind and look at the game for a second. It's 100 to 30.

Suddenly you hear something like a high pitched cry. It sounds like an eagle. When you turn to that direction you can barely see Valdis "wearing" his Eagle face charm again. He cheers like an Eagle's cry. And then just near where they sit you see it, something shines and then quickly disappears. You lower your head and try to gain speed, fly towards there. You can see it now, the Golden Snitch flying near the crowd. As you come closer the students cheer for you. You feel confident. You dive to catch the Snitch. You come closer and closer. The score is now 110 to 40. Ravenclaw is on fire today.

You reach with your arm....and grab the Snitch. The match ends with the score of 260 to 40. A crushing victory for the Ravenclaw.

You are being carried on the shoulders of the Ravenclaw students. "Flies like an eagle! Stings like a Bee! He's Apisé!!!" Appreantly this is your new chant. You father would be annoyed how they pronounce your last name wrong but you are quite enjoying it. At least it rhymes. Kind of.

All the students are walking back to the castle as a group. Tim shouts to you, with his arm around Alice. "Hey John!! I swear you will get one of these Seekers killed one day with that trick!" Everyone laughs and the chant starts all over again.

You all enter the castle, shouting, chanting, making jokes and laughing. Mr. Filch stops your group with a look of complete annoyence on his face. "How dare you shout in the-" his rebuke is cut off with Anthony's shout "Shut up Filch! Professor here is with us!"

Also to your surprise there is Flitwick, in the middle of the group. Looking completely happy. You didn't realize he was here too because of his short height.

"The students have a right to be chanting, Filch, now make way!" he orders cheerfully. Filch stands aside, murmuring to himself.

You all climb the stairs and enter the Ravenclaw common room. Cordelia is flying around and everytime someone sees her they start your chant over again. After the initial big party, now everyone is seperated to their own "cliques".

Man being a Squib must be tough.

Can Filch not even make potions or do anything remotely magical?

I figured with the right ingredients even a muggle should be able to make a potion.

Or hell could he utilize stuff with enchantments already on it?

Or does literally everything require some form of magic on the practitioner's part?

You spend your time mostly with the rest of the team while occasionally chatting with others. "Well for me John, you and Tim are a part of the team no matter what. But sad news, since I am in my last year, the new captain could make new tryouts" Then he laughs. "Ohh come on I don't want to go to tryouts every year!" Tim protests while also laughing. Then the team speculates mostly on who will be the new captain.

It seems like the Keeper, 4th grader Lilly would be the new captain.

You don't mind about it really.

The rest of the day passes with the celebrations and chatting and chilling with all your friends. At the evening it starts to snow.

Next morning, you receive a letter from your aunt. Her hand writing is a bit difficult to read with lot of scrawls.

"My dear nephew John,

It is a pleasent surprise to hear from you. I am glad to hear you are having a good time in Hogwarts. I am happy to hear that Slytherin beat Gryffindor in the Quidditch. But I wish you all the luck in the competition and hope that you will win the cup. It is a very nice thing to hear that you are doing well in the potions class. I am sure you are much better than anyone in the school in that area. I will be coming this year to the Christmas dinner at your house, so we will talk more later, I need to cut short, as you can guess I don't write a lot, and in these days I think it is best to communicate face to face.

See you soon,
Aunt Luisa."

Then you see that the school newspaper has been published. Juliette was the head of the Ravenclaw section. She did the interview with you a couple of weeks ago.

You go through the journal and finally find your interview. The headline reads, "The Brave Eagle" and under it, there is a quote, "I just wanted to save my friends so I did what I had to do."

The article first goes through the events of the last year and gives some information about you and your life. After the parts about you saving your friends and defeating the old DADA teacher, it talks about Quidditch.

"We asked John if he thinks he is playing better this year and if they have a chance to win the cup." The article reads, then it quotes you saying, "Last year was my first year in the team. I am much better now and our team practices a lot. We have a good chance of winning the cup."

Then it continues, to ask you about the "infamous" player of Gryffindor, Alba. Then you realize your answer is not exactly the same in the magazine. You remember answering that she is a good friend and she is a passionate player. But...it says that you, "blushed" and then continued to answer as "she is very passionate....and lively, and attractive." You feel something is wrong. It continues to say that "You think she is the best player in the Gryffindor and that you enjoy it a lot to spend your time with her alone." The article heavily implies that you like her and you are kind of together.

You look around after reading to see a lot of students are reading the same article just right now. Including Anya and others in Ravenclaw. Also Alba.

You put the newspaper down and look around to find Juliette. You walk around the tables. You hear some people talking, whispering or giggling when they see you. You try to think you are imagining it. Or to ignore it.

Finally you see her. Entering the great hall. You walk towards her with fast steps. She waves at you, looking completely normal.

"What the hell is this Juliette? I never said these things!" you say, getting angry.

She still looks normal. "What do you mean, John?" she asks softly. You show her the article and the parts about Alba.

She reads it slowly a few times. "Well..." she starts to answer. Her voice seems soft but a bit taken aback. "I can understand why you feel upset....but..."

..Look. If the goal is to repair our personal relationships, we just have to talk tot he people in question. If the goal is to maintain our public image, we can ask them to print our response to the story. If the job is to avoid nasty rumors, well the cat's out of the bag on that one. All we can do is spread our side of the story as much as theirs, one way or the other.

You accept her apology. "Just be more careful...You should know better Juliette." you say.

Then you head to the Slytherin table but you don't see Lea. Then you decide to head to their club room in the library. You don't stop to talk with anyother before sorting this mess out.

The library is quite empty at this time of the day. You ask the librarian to show you the room. It is one of the small office rooms in the back of the library. You knock and enter.

There are two girls sitting inside. One of them is reading the newspaper. You recognise her, it's Rachel Rosenfeld. The other one fits the description of Lea.

>Hi Lea, I am here to ask why did you write false things about me in the newspaper?
>Hi Rachel, what are you doing here?
>Are you the editor Lea Cussian? I am here to ask why did you write these lies about me?

You enter the room, directly looking at Lea, you put the newspaper on the table. "I am here to ask why did you write these lies about me?"

With that Rachel makes a strange "huh" sound. "So I am not the only one, you write lies about Lea?" She seems also upset, like you.

Lea seems ice cold calm. "I didn't write lies about you Rachel. You are simply not qualified enough to be in the Slytherin team."

Rachel snorts. "Yeah sure, really makes a lot of sense when I scored most of the goals..."

Lea interrupts her, "If Picar didn't catch the snitch, you realize we would have lost right? It wasn't enough."

Then you see Rachel is also holding a copy of the paper. There is her picture flying on the paper, it reads, "Who should be kicked out of the team?"

"Just because your stupid friend didn't made it into the team is not my fault!" Rachel replies getting angry, she adjusts her green hair band and you can see the green emerald eyes of the silver snake necklace she is wearing also almost glaring with annoyance.

It seems like you just entered the room in the middle of this.

Rachels turns to you then and asks what did she wrote about you. You explain shortly.

"Now also playing the matchmaker, Lea?" She asks sounding unbelievably annoyed.

"I wrote what it looks like from the outside, Apise."

Rachel cuts her "It doesn't like like that to me."

You are surprised it looks anything at all to Rachel whom you just met a month ago but you are grateful for the support.

"I don't care what are you talking about or what do YOU think it looks like. It is not true and you are not unbiased. You can't put your own thoughts as facts."

Rachel nods in agreement. "Especially when you are trying to get your friend in the team by writing slander about a current player. That is low, Lea...Even for you."

You can hear the librarian approaching from the outside.

"I demand an apology in the next issue." you say. Lea just shrugs and says "I will not apologize to any of you."

Just before you can open your mouth Rachel bursts, "Well then you will spend some time with Professor Snape, Lea. I don't think he will like to hear that you are trying to actively sabotage the Slytherin team."

Lea shows some emotions for the first time. You can see she is afraid...of Snape.

"Do you think Professor will care about this?" she asks but her fear betrays her as her voice sounds uncertain. "Do you want to try and see?" Rachel asks.

Lea looks unsure. She sighs. "I will write a few sentences on how it was a misinformation... satisfied?"

Just as Rachel nods and looks like annoyed with the whole thing you speak up and say "No. You will not just write a few sentences, you will write a full apology, I would rather you step down as the editor but, instead you will write an apology on the front page to me, to Rachel and to all else for your misinformation."

Lea doesn't like so much agreeing with that idea but before she can answer the librarian enters. "What is going on in here?"

It seems the arguement was a little bit too high volumed for the library. After some explaination she make you and Rachel leave the place. You hope that Lea will write that apology in the next issue.

"Don't worry. She is very afraid of our Profesor." Rachel tells you on the way.

"I can understand the reason she wrote these stuff about me, to get her friend on the team but why would she write that you are going out with Morteno? You are just friends no?"

>Yes of course we are only friends. She probably wanted to make some random gossip.

You smile back. "I look forward to it too... And don't worry much about people like Lea. My mother was a Slytherin too. So I don't think all of you are bad or anything."

That lightens her up. "Really? I didn't know that." You tell her how she was one of the best Quidditch players in Slytherin and supposedly has a picture somewhere in the Slytherin dungeons while flying for the team. She tells you that she will look it up. In the mean time you arrive to the Great Hall. It is less crowded now but you see Alba is here talking with some of her friends. One of them looks at you with a funny look.

There is also still Glenn and Anya on the Ravenclaw table.

When they see you they both wave at you and you walk towards them. You explain them everything. Glenn seems really annoyed. "I don't understand why would someone write something like this." Anya looks like she is relieved. You know she doesn't really love Alba a lot. "I am glad this is cleared John. What a nonsense..."

You leave the table to go over to Alba's table. When you come closer you can see some people around, especially Gryffindors around your age give you funny looks. You catch the eye of Alba and nod with your head to say hello and sit down next to her.

"Alba, look," She seems pretty normal. She has some freckles around her cheeks and nose, dark hair and blue eyes. "I didn't know you liked me like that John." she says quite seriously, her Spanish lisp still present in her accent.

You scratch her back and belly softly, she has soft yellow fur. Her eyes always looks so intelligent and aware of what is going on around her.

After you finish reading you put Cordelia back to her small bed and continue to the Herbology class.

It's a common class with Hufflepuff. They still are sore from the Quidditch defeat. The class passes mostly quiet. You are requiered to properly harvest a couple of strange looking purple and green glowing mushrooms.

Roll 1d10, I will accept the third roll.

Shes a cute tomboy what more can you want.
there is also the fact that brainy boy and tough girl is usually a nice pair, shes "foreign", Canonicaly very attractive, and interhouse relationships are cute.I would like to spend more time with her before we start romancing her though.Compared to Anya she dosent have that may cute "couple moments" just really good platonic chemistry.

You confidently peel the outer skin and stuff on the mushroom. Carefully cut and dice the correct spots. Professor Sprout likes your work and also surprisingly Valdis' work. "5 Points each for Ravenclaw" she announces. These days Valdis tries to do good in classes. You might even admit that his stupid Eagle cry draw your attention and by luck you saw the Snitch.

"These mushrooms are quite dangerous in the wrong hands." Professor explains. "They can be used in a very dangerous poison." Mary let's out a quiet cry and drops the mushrooms on the table. "Oh...don't worry Miss Arthur. They are not toxic like this. It requieres a very complex potion making to make them posionous..."

You also realize Mary is kind of distanced too. Not that she was very outgoing around you anyway...maybe it's your imagination again. You focus on the task at hand and prepare the mushrooms.

"Maybe we should give some of these to that editor" Anya whispers to you.

>"Oh my...Anya!" Laugh mischievously
>"What?" Shocked
>"Yeah I agree...that would teach her to stop spreading lies."

"I'd rather give her a truth serum. Maybe it would help with her journalism."

Both Anya and nearby Glenn laughs. "Yeah that could work too!" she says happily.

After the class three of you head back to the Ravenclaw common room. Anya seems excited that she received a letter. It reminds you of your own unread letters.

Anya reads quickly and then gasps in excitement. "Wow!" she exclaims. "Glenn! I think what you told me about my future has come true!"

You are also intrigued, start listening.

"You told me that someone in my close family will be travelling soon. And my mom wrotes that my dad had to travel to Korea a few weeks ago. Last month I think actually. It takes some time for these letters to arrive, it is a bit weird for my parents to send a letter with an owl..."

You remember that they are Muggles.

"... anyway, it says that he went to Korea. So this is it I think! You predicted my future correctly! Well... it was kind of already happened at the time but... I don't know. What do you think?"

Glenn just shrugs as usual. "Where is Korea? Your dad has some business there?"

"It's in Asia. There was a plance crush...uhh...a plane is a muggle vehicle...think of it like a really big broomstick that carries lot of people and it flies around."

Glenn laughs and says he knows what is a plane.

"Oh..sorry...yeah anyway, there was a problem with a plane crushing I think, he went there to...to investigate and get some information and stuff."

The first letter is from the French girl. It's written in French.

"Cher John,
..."

She talks about how her school is. How she is in this Arithmency club and it's her favorite class. She does seem confused that you wrote something about a friend of yours read your future and saw that maybe she will be in danger. She assures you that she is not in danger. And asks you how is Hogwarts and if you want to visit France again sometime?

The second letter is from your Mom. It seems that she has read the Hogwarts Journal too. She writes to you that she respects your decisions and your friends but you should be more careful to give interviews like that, that will published publicly.

>I assume you will write to your mom explaining stuff. Do you want to add something else?

>And to write back to Astrid,
>Ask her more about her favourite subject
>Try to learn more on her school
>Tell her that you want to visit France again

You write a full page of answer asking about her school, favorite subject and other stuff. And then you invite her to Britain.

While you are writing, Anya also writes back to her mom and Glenn just reads the textbook of the Potions class. The Ravenclaw common room is semi crowded. Captain Anthony is just sitting near the fireplace with a girl. They seem pretty close. While Tim, Alice and Juliette are writing some homeworks together at a table. There are also some first graders running around trying to catch a pet hamster.

You prepare both of your letters and you are ready to send them.

A few day passes without much incident. In december the weather gets much colder and these days it seems snowy everyday. You are used to the white carpet coverin all of the nature around you. Some parts of the lake even seems to be frozen a bit. It is a particularly cold winter.

The duelling club is upon us. Once again the Professor Hevelius is teaching the class. Professor Flitwick is also present today. Both of them put up a show to teach you students a certain spell. "Professor Flitwick was a great duelling champion during his youth...It is an honour for me." Professor Hevelius announces. Flitwick bows down and answers kindly, "The honour is mine Professor. The memories of your duels against many Dark wizards are still fresh in my mind."

Both of them are complete gentlemen and they bow down and take three steps away from each other and then cast their spells. Flitwick is slower by a nanosecond and he couldn't pronounce the last letter of the spell. Professor Hevelius successfully demonstrates how to cast the Tongue Tying Curse.

Now the students are expected to cast it. The Hufflepuff students still seem to be not so happy with Ravenclaws after the Quidditch match. Hevelius reads names one by one and a pair come to the stage to duel. Bryan of Ravenclaw duels against Rachel and Rachel wins. Alba also defeats a guy from Slytherin, she seems quite fast.

"Mr. Apise" your name has been read. "Against Mr. Weasley"

Red head Bill Weasley comes up to the stage. Both of you bow down to each other. 3...2...1
