First, I'll devour and replace the reporters. Then arrange for their "deaths", like one I'll fake leaving the country as. Another, I'd chop off my own limbs (which has his dna) and frame the wife for his murder, and another will be straight up "suicide".
Then I'll replace someone with connection to the Budget Rangers, maybe even their boss. And I'll get rid of them through budget cuts, "promotions", fire Blue for sexual harassment and so forth. Hell, if there's no monster activity, I could have them disbanded, or replaced by my mooks. And then I'll have my mooks regularly "defeat" various monsters, thus raising my standing.
Obviously, I'm not a fighter. Fighting's a last resort. If I MUST fight, I'd rather do sniping through shadow step, camo and bio laser. Otherwise, I'd rather run to plot another day.

That said, it's shitty because like >>47144594 said, the scenario does everything just short of setting you up to fail, and then actively tries not to incentivize success by making it come with a thousand and one caveats that more or less don't let you play the game with the goal of not getting violated without forcing you to do a lot of other shady shit. Which, would be forgivable, if it didn't shoehorn you into a playstyle entirely based around participating in the thing you were trying to avoid in the first place one way or another. This is the difference between Dark Souls difficulty and playing a bullet hell with a blindfold. One is a fun challenge, the other is technically feasible, but utterly implausible.

I think it's kind of fascinating. CYOA are, by and large, power fantasies.
Rapture Academy is a CYOA where, despite the huge number of options and potential character builds you could create, you are nearly powerless.
Like, you can be as strong as an ogre, or cast spells to bind demons, or have a wide variety of supernatural powers, but against the magnitude of organized, systemic oppression that simply isn't enough of an edge.
The entire appeal to it is that you're helpless, and so you don't have to feel guilty about all the kinky sex your forced to have. Instead of a power fantasy, it's a powerlessness fantasy.
I don't necessarily think it's a bad CYOA. All CYOA are fetishy to an extent, this one is just (much) more blatant about it than most.
I don't think it is going to appeal to most people, though. Most people want CYOA to empower them, not the reverse.

My concern with the CYOA: The powerlevel of a student is so far below that of a typical threats, and there is such a variety and number of such threats, that no single student--main character or not--can reasonable expect to prevail. This is even before considering how the ultimate source of the schools problems is systemic.
As such, the player is basically set up to fail.
My suggestion to address this:
A) Establish that while the player has 10 attribute points and 10 perk points, that other characters, students and teachers alike, actually have much less. Or, alternatively, while everyone else has 10 of each, the player actually has a higher number.
B) Give the player an additional benefit, perhaps from a list of such benefits. Make it clear that these benefits are not available to other students or faculty, and make the benefit powerful or useful enough to give the player a recognizable edge.
Note: both of these options have something specific in common: the player could opt out of them. Someone who actually wanted to play as rape bait (or wanted an impossible fight against cosmic and orwellian forces) can choose to forgo additional points or bonus.
As such, the CYOA would then have much more appeal to those who want a chance at "winning," while not losing any appeal to those that like it the way it is now.
In summary: the average student can not hope to triumph against the threats against them. So give the player the opportunity to be more powerful. Make it clear that you're allowed to be the main character.

I'm honestly not here to accuse a bunch of numbers on a screen of being actual criminals, and I apologize if my message got a little confused while I was trying to convey it. When I brought in the 'rape rape rape' bit, I was referring to how the game basically gives you 0 options to avoid dealing with it in a meaningful way, despite avoidance or at least non-participation being one of the stated goals of said game, and then makes it the central point of seemingly most of the game's activities. If we take the rumors section to be canon, then we can safely assume that everyone who actively works against the system is either kept in the dark, or too powerless of affect any real change. If we assume that it's really just rumors, then we have, at best, a well-known resistance that virtually everyone opposes and is more 'allowed' to exist than anything, and a faction that is too enraptured in the constant distractions paraded before them to really understand what's going on, let alone so much as protest.
I can't help but feel that the game is, at its very core, a one way track to becoming part of the school's various sex-crime rings, which I could just as easily read about. When you funnel the player into such a narrow couple of outcomes, the value of the game as an interactive medium is largely lost.

So, the big plan is to be the big scary Sunday-morning villain who makes a big show out of everything. I will make light of public safety measures and the organization will send out "heroes" (flashy mooks loyal to the organization) to stop me, and when I am "defeated" by these "heroes," the public will favor the organization as its prime protectors, aiding them in the PR department of world-domination.
The Budget Rangers and the Mahou Shoujo Squad become a problem when they interrupt our organizations "heroes" and take partial credit for my "defeat," which is unacceptable! But I won't kill them or permanently injure them because I'm friends with the Mahou Shoujo at school and I like the Budget Ranger's TV show.
Hence, I became the perfect juggernaut. Hi anon, I'm doing a CYOA with a lot of text and a lot of options. I was planning to do 1280 x 3000 but I find that's going to result in fewer pictures to break up the text and the final product will probably have at least 6 or 7 pages.
So I'm toying with 1280 x 6000. Is that too high you think? Or is width the only thing that truly matters because you'll be scrolling down regardless?
