Some brief background, we were a tight-knit group of friends in our last year of sixth-form college, and while I was sort of jokingly referred to as the king nerd of our little group, the others were curious about tabletop and got me to run a game of D&D.
The first few sessions were pretty solidly fun all around, but a couple of months in it came out that they'd both been sleeping with the same person.

That's a shitty argument and you know it. 1) The number of men to write noteworthy books in the past numbers in the hundreds or perhaps the thousands, which pales in comparison to the number of men who have existed throughout history. In the court system we know there is a tier system, it goes roughly
White Women
Black Women
White Men
Black Men
That is the scale we see across all levels of the justice system. So there was a problem with speeding tickets in 1 district. People assumed it was because people were being racist, because more blacks were being fined than whites. It was then investigated independently that the reason why more blacks were being fined was because more blacks were speeding through the area.
With that knowledge I can say "the system is working here because it is punishing the people committing the crime".
On the other hand I can look at the Duluth model of domestic violence (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duluth_model) which is the system every major Western country's police force uses and see that it is leading to unequal outcomes due to the nature being in favour of convicting men over women. As such I can make the logical argument that men are convicted more of domestic violence because the system is set up to convict men even when both partners are violent (which is often the case). This is without touching "battered wide" syndrome and other get out of jail free cards that exist for women but not men.
These two scenarios show how even though the court system is bias against some people, the system isn't always wrong. But the system can be wrong in how it approaches some people and in the case of violence (which we're discussing) the system is 100% against men because humans will never tolerate violence against a woman, but will men.
There are fuck loads of studies on this. There's even youtube videos showing experiments of women attacking men in the street and people laugh but the moment the man attacks the woman 3 guys jump him and he has to say it's an experiment so they don't put him in an ambulance.
