It's not good, it doesn't work every match since rng, some build will shit on you I'm looking at you mono nurgle with triple crew upgrade. But there's high chance the first ship you see will end up fucking useless. Also I'd go bad moon or blood axe for it.

The default scheme is green and white. It's just pretty drab compared to tabletop colors. The lighting is also colored so shit always looks off-palette, for example tzeetch ships look purple, but are actually blue.

So insecure about power lines, hehehe. But seriously, you can dig those lines underground and then switch when the underground gable is ready. Switching from poles to underground doesn't take long and the dark period is about 10-30 mins.
Also underground lines are much safer than poles.

Then on BFG, what is your favourite overachiever in TT or in video game? For me it was one armed transport in TT. That transport managed to destroy damaged Murder and one Iconoclast before running away.

Each hit has a chance of causing a fire. They're actually not very effective because they will both get shot down by point defense and have no armor pen, plus orks and IN give zero fucks about fire unless there's a several of them.

America is south of most of Europe. Paris, for example, is 8 degrees north of Banglor, Maine. Buried wires are cheaper if you get enough winter weather to damage them otherwise. Such winters are rare in the US.

I have heard the xact opposite thing, that suspended wires were easier to repair during harsh winters. I'm inclined to believe it since alaskan and canadian villages have suspended wires as far as I remember.

Yeah, but we got a nice little thing called the Gulf Stream, which means that temperature in Paris is higher on average than Banglor's.

In the end, it probably has to do with safety rules, since telephonic wires are mostly suspended here despite electricity being underground.

My hellbringer build

Mainly I'm a butthurt former IN player that gets owned by every other faction. Just lost two cruisers to a single chaos battle cruiser, after losing a game with three light cruisers against Eldar and their ZZZAP lasers. IN, even though I'm an imperial fanboy, is not for me.

So I said fuck it, I'm kiting for the rest of this games existence till the IN gets noob friendly, because honestly, with factions that specialize even better than the IN they are technically at a disadvantage.

Carriers aren't the be all end all. A good player will break detection range and silent running to remove bombers/assault boats or camp in a cloud.

You don't have any way of forcing detection like an attachable probe or even the augur probe.

Against Chaos I expect Lanceboats or Carriers and both can be ruined by just 3 or 4 upgraded escorts.

For carriers, you want the auto refuel, asteroid shields, and emissions dissipator so you can kite real good.

Asteroid shields are waste of slot. Just get the +100 shields so you can shrug off more long range lances and novas. Without the shield upgrade novas will just wreck you completely. With the +100 shield novas do fucking nothing.

The problem with meltas is that the first salvo does nothing because they will just put out fires with repair. You need to actually get 2 salvos to hit and that's pretty tough vs eldar.

I usually use meltas at long range (as in from deployment on,), then once I'm in about 6k switch to torps.

Meltas start fires, which in the long run (even if repaired) do more damage as they've already wasted their repair putting it out whereas one torp making it through the turrets from across the map isn't going to do much compared to that.

Exactly, >>47105196 here, thanks to those light cruisers, I get away with a bit of experience and renown every game, making sure I have ships that can last in a fight and get more renown to spend on upgrades for better ships.

Basically I just harass every game till it's time to GTFO. Triple upgrade to squadron sergeant and double on dark navigator. I'm really playing a hit and run chaos navy till I get my nurgle cruisers.

I'd say deciding between them has more to do with how often you think you're going to GET boarded, rather than the other way around.

A front line combat ship that's going to be stealing data, receiving broadsides, and generally getting all up in the enemy's grill, will be getting its shields knocked down and/or boarded alot more than a Gothic/Mars at the back. So the extra defensive TV comes in very handy.

Mechanicus favour on everything not a dauntless MK2.


That's how I run my extremely guns heavy fleet anyway.

Id say yes.
They have slower fire-rate than the regular loads o' gunz, but when they hit they do massive damage. Their range though is horrendous and you WILL need the range upgrade as well as the AP upgrade.
Couple that with some speed upgrades and you will be eating panzees for dinner.

As far as Durability goes: Orks 1st, Imperial Navy 2nd, Chaos 3rd, Eldar 4th

When it comes to speed, the races go in the opposite direction.

Of course, upgrades and favours can change this to an extent, it's possible to make a Chaos Brawler fleet, or an Ork Speed fleet, but by and large the above ranking holds.

I'd recommend starting with the Imperium, they have fairly durable ships and good firepower and don't need huge amounts of micro to be effective.

Just hang back with it while your other ships go brawl.
Either throw a fighter screen to help against enemy bombers or send some bombers of your own to do some damage.
And keep the nova cannon on auto-cast.

I just stock it full of support abilities (Probe, shield transfer, stasis bomb etc) and keep it at medium range. I tend to take it against chaos to counteract their bombers. Also bear in mind it's still pretty powerful, it's got the firepower of an overlord but with one less macro battery.

Though it's not the greatest I admit, it can be useful in the right circumstances
