just ordered this to finish out my deck :3

Also, can anyone help me with the rules here:

Let's say I have one Erdwal Illuminator and 4x Tireless Trackers in play.

If I play a land, and its the first time I'd investigate this turn, how many clues do I get?
>>
>>46946084
5. 2 from the first trigger to resolve (1 from the tracker, one from the Illuminator), 1 from each of the other 3 triggers to resolve.
>>
>>46946566
That's what I figured - but I was curious if all of the Investigates trigger at the same time?
>>
>>46946710
All Trackers' investigate triggers trigger at the same time, but those triggers are put on the stack one after the other (in an order you decide), not parallel to each other. So only one of them resolves first.
>>
>>46946710
They trigger at the same time but, like any triggered ability, they each go on the stack and resolve individually. they don't resolve simultaneously.
>>
>>46946798

Thanks!
Im just returning so I wasn't sure.

2x Ulamog
1x Kozilek
1x Reality Smasher
1x Thought-Knot Seer
3x Hedron Crawler
4x Mist Intruder
4x Eldrazi Skyspawner
4x Blisterpod
3x Slip Through Space
3x Abtrusive Interference
3x Ruin in Their Wake
3x Call the Scions
2x Cryptolith Rites
2x Hedron Archive

4x Wastes

Yep. The little play they will see and the relatively high price they have right and how they are going to go lower and lower until rotation.

That's what I'm trying to figure out.

I can't decide between Jund Midrange withouit Gitgud Frog and Grixis Control and I'm flipping through which one I want to do last minute. It's not fun.

I've been playing Jund midrange without Gitgud Frog and it's Totally correc to not play gitgud frog.

I'm also super unhappy with basicalyl every list so far so I don't think Jund can be a "thing"

I played G/B Elves and stomped FNM for a couple months before SOI came out, but now my deck just can't deal with anything deal with the new white. Maindeck Archangel of Tithes, Declaration in Stone, and Always Watching (never mind all the little Origins first strikers) all wreck me utterly unless I happen to draw and/or CoCo into my full set of Shamans before it's too late.

Is there anything I can do about this? I can't think of any SOI cards that would be much help, and it's not like I'll be able to build a completely new deck by Saturday...
>>
>>46958361
Duress for the declarations and always watching, languish to put humans down although it hurts your elves just as much. Maybe run more draw enablers like painful truths or ob nixilis?
>>
>>46954350
Im assuming kozilek and ulamog are your finishers - if you are playing green you should use from beyond, at the very least to allow you to draw ulamog or kozile to your hand.
>>
>>46949881
idk, they may drop a bit around rotation time, but they're used more often in modern than in standard, especially Kolaghan's command, making itself a staple in the most expensive modern format deck, i.e. Jund, and Atarka's Command is also a staple for most if not all burn decks, again in modern. Hold on to the foil K-Command if anything.
>>
>>46958591
I run Duress and Eyeblight Massacre in the board, but I never know what to sub out. (Also Gilt-Leaf Winnower, which comes in handy against a whole lot of devks.) Right now I have two each but maybe I should tick it up to three. I have some pretty loose slots in my board anyway.

I could definitely use more draw - anything to get my Shamans faster - but I'm not sure how I would incorporate that into the main deck without tampering with its structure. I've already got four each of CoCo, Elvish Visionary and Sylvan Messenger. I guess maybe I could consider running Seek the Wilds or Oath of Nissa?
>>
>>46957438
I disagree, Gitgud Froggerino has won me plenty of games, where it either was able to dodge most common removal, like Roast, Ultimate Price, Languish, and Grasp, and beat down to game, or grinded out the match. Even had a match, where he stood around for 5 turns, though the opponent kept finding a way to chump, I drew 8 cards off his land ability, giving me so much overwhelming gas that I was able mach card for hard that he threw till I just broke the balance with a shit ton of removal and won from there. Went 4-0 that day.
>>
>>46959197
How about duskwatch recruiter? I know its not an elf but it can give that advantage, and if manages to flip you can cast SoP for 2 mana

Noob questions

When exactly does damage reset on a creature? After the end of combat step? For example if I block a 2/2 with a 1/1 what is my window to do fatal damage with a 1 damage to creature instant?

If I declare attackers and my opponent then declares no blockers I can then play titans strength or whatever and they can't change their mind right? They have to take all that damage?
>>
>>46960094
You probably don't want blisterpod, you don't have any ways to sac it so you're essentially paying G for a chump blocker and a scion. Play a regular mana dork like lief gilder or deathcap cultivator
>>
>>46960690

Yes.
>>
>>46960720

Tbfh, you really can't do anything. However, you do have swaths of creatures. They won't have enough burn for all of that.

Also, I'm a huge fan of Reflector Mage. it's a human, has 3 toughness and if you're splashing blue, you might as well.

>>
>>46946837
However if you have, say, 1 Tireless Tracker, 4 Erdwal Illuminator you'd Investigate 5 times. The good thing about Erdwal is that it allows you to Investigate on your opponent's turn, so you can say, cast Exposed Evil / Press for Answers / Confront the Unknown and Investigat an additional 5 times, which makes Confront the Unknown increasingly lethal.

Not quite

Everybody gets priority after blockers (or the lack thereof) are declared, but choosing to block isn't something you do when you have priority, it's a decision the game prompts the defending player to make at the beginning of the declare blocks step and THEN everybody gets priority regardless of what decision they make

I played yesterday with that deck. Ended 2-1-1.
Get stuff to stall your enemy and IMO cut 2 blight lands for 2 islands since you want to have islands when casting engul the shore. Keep the mage ring metworks since its the best thing we can have when battling control decks.

Vs control decks, send to sleep works wonders here since you tap their manland for 1 turn, reducing their mana available for the next turn. I get only a couple of them for that match. Mostof the time the one that drops sphinx of last word is the winner.

Gaea's Revenge, Damnable Pact are good extra alt wincons.

Gaea's Revenge:

Pros: Gaea's Revenge virtually immune to almost all forms of common spot removal being played. Can't be countered.

Cons: Lack of trample can be chump blocked all day and 5 toughness is a bit low for a large creature. Can be stripped with Transgress the Mind in a mirror match.

Damnable Pact:

Pros: Technical CMC of 2 meaning immune to Transgress the Mind, can be used to target self for extra draw if needed and a very easy fireball finisher.

Cons: When used to give self card draw is worse off than Read the Bones for the same mana input. If not used to finish off opponent it can be a liability. Orbs of Warding in mirror match can make it a dead card.

What decks are you playing against? To be fair this is not a straightforward deck to pilot and Bant Company and RG Ramp decks are not very good matchups to fight game 1.
>>
>>46973875

Your landbase needs tweaking.

You have Foreboding Ruins and only 6 basics. That is a terrible chance to play it untapped. You need to have at least 12-14 ways to reveal a Swamp or Mountain to have it enter play untapped first or second turn with great success. You're honestly better off running Smoldering Marsh instead and adding a few Wastes.
>>
>>46977864
Well so far I've lost to:
Mardu control
Gw tokens
Rg eldrazi ramp
Elves coco seasons past
Tamiyo clue mill

I don't think that I've won a single matchup with it yet, and the deck only has one kalitas since every store is sold out.

I feel as if the deck had a hard time with any permanent that drops that isn't a creature, and often find myself running out of resources too quickly. I will keep on testing it though since my alternative is an atarka Red deck that just folds to almost everything in the meta.
>>
>>46978117

You honestly shouldn't be losing to GW tokens. You have so many ways to recur board wipes and strip their hand and kill their planeswalkers over and over again.

The deck is a soft-lock/prison type deck that grabs answers out of the graveyard all the time.

>Elves CoCo Seasons Past
>Tamiyo clue mill

Fuck me those are some spicy deck archetypes. I wouldn't know what to do there either.

Why? You should be able to grab Ruinous Path for planeswalkers and Duress/Transgress to strip anything they hold back and Languish to wipe/reset the board. You can keep casting Dark Petition over and over again grabbing your Seasons Past fetching the right answers you need in your graveyard.
>>
I'm going to todays FNM with a deck from mtgo that I've seen some dude named mulldrifter play.

It's basically Season's Past with a white splash and a bit more creatures/token makers and less removal.

When I playtested it it wasn't a perma loss to bant company and it seems to do good vs controls as well.

If it won't work out I'll go with BG or UW humans.

the abzan control deck:

Anyone on b/g aristocrats here? I build the deck for gameday since I had most of the cards but I really fail to see the gameplan.
Going wide gets completly countered by basicly anything with more than 1 toughness.
Nantuko just gets removed and you never get enough Cutthroats really for a combo kill.
Watching LSV on the top 8 is also... eh. Either he has some insane draw or gets completly stomped.

In one circumstance I had a languish and a dark petition in hand. I only had enough mana for one or the other and had to decide between killing their thought-knot or killing their Chandra.

Same thing happened with two tokens on the battlefield and a nissa, and I ended up eating 8 damage just to be able to kill the nissa.

Also the deck doesn't do shit against artifacts/enchantments if you can't strip them in time.
>>
>>46981498

>Lost to Secure the Wastes x5 into Westvale Abbey. Kinda hard to boardwipe that.

You can double Grasp of Darkness the Ormendahl, in fact that's actually what Jon Finkel did in the Pro Tour.

>Also the deck doesn't do shit against artifacts/enchantments if you can't strip them in time.

That's true which is why after sideboarding you have Naturalise and can keep on destroying them.

But again I digress that the deck is really not easy to pilot so keep at it.

Any advice? I can't afford Lillianas or anymore copies of Kalitas for now (i will go up to 2 eventually). I was thinking of focusing more on Token generation with Mage-Ring Networks (for a big cast of from under the floorboards) Zulaport Cutthroats (i have 4) and Nantuko Husk (i have 4).

The only other relevant cards I have for Zombies are more Forgotten Creations, another Geralf's Masterpiece, Ob Nixilis Reignited.

I'm feeling 4 diregraf might be too many but I'm not sure. Also don't feel good about the mana curve but I'm done buying dual lands for a little while.

I've been running a U/B zombies list for a while trying to break the deck and while it has a relatively good matchup against most control decks, some other midrange and aggro lists can give it a problem. Deck is like an Aggro-Control archetype where you're able to dodge most pinpoint removal like Declaration in Stone with the Nantuko Husk and can even reanimate whatever you sac by saccing a Relentless Dead as well and making more Zombie tokens. Almost like playing Bridge from Below but having to pay mana. The deck is seriously close to being a thing, it's just a tad short of a few things at the moment like an appropriate Zombie lord(Risen Executioner is really clunky, really want Diregraf Captain or so.)

The secretly best card in U/B Zombies that nobody has been trying? Epiphany at the Drownyard. It is 100% the right shell for this card.

This is my list for reference http://deckstats.net/deck-9927243-cb013466caacf289dc263140d4a80323.html maybe you like it, maybe you don't.
>>
>>46988939

Meh, I wanna go to FNM but im still waiting on singles to come in the mail. All I have to potentially bring is extremely unfinished izzet aggro with no bellstrikers and no abbots (bleh) and white weenies with 1 always watching 1 thalias lieutenant and 0 of any of the other good cards (no kytheon, no white orchid, no tithes, no secure the wasteland, no archangel)

Let's assume it's too late to add anything new, but it's good to know I can safely drop creatures.

I think it's more important to drop a couple of lands, but I'm not sure exactly which two to drop. And perhaps one of the Ulvenwalds, but I'm not 100% on that, since it's the workhorse.
>>
>>46992590
Yeah you can start with that deck, but its tricky to play it. You have to know when should you bouncethe creatures. For example, if you opponent have some nontoken creatures and 5 cards in hand, if there is a chance, use Engulf the Shore at the beggining of end step. You will bounce his creatures and he'll have to discard his stuff.

I upgraded this version into a UB one. You'll have to paay for the UB lands (from BfZ y SoI). Icut naggin thoughts and have 2 main, replaced grip for ultimate price and graps of darkness. Replaced engul with Languish and reduced Part the Watervail in 3 cards,

Get discards, counterspells abd Sphinx of Last Word for mirror/control matches
>>
>>46995633
Oh, you could do that as well, I didnt look too hard but those are some cheap improvements you can make. Odric is insane sometimes when you go wide with lifelink/first strike/vigilance/flying. Ormendahl + Odric is crazy.
>>
>>46995633
But for now yeah drop a land, youre already gonna be cracking a lot of clues as it is and you'll get the mana you need from the draws imo
>>
>>46996528
>>46996542
There. I cut the Byway Couriers, the Dauntless Cathars, and a Forest. Hopefully 4 Fortified Villages doesn't mean my mana is going to slow down, but in the event that it is, I could just switch a forest back in. I don't have the experience to say whether it will, though. These lands look better for early game.

And Westvale Abbey goes in because it can. I'm not planning to win with it, but if I do, aces.

I have a question.

I am running an U/W midrange spirits/Archangel of Tithes deck and I want to make it a little bit more competitive.

I found quite a bit of trouble with mana during the FNM yesterday; it's just too slow for my tastes - even considering that wast majority of my cards are 2-3 drops with the most expensive card being 4.

My mana base is as follow:
>4 Prairie Stream
>4 Port Town
>4 Evolving Wilds
>5 Islands
>7 Plains

Is it worth keeping the Wilds or should I just them wholly or partially and run normal land instead?
>>
>>47001427

Manabase seems fine really. Maybe cantrips or scry stuff to filter draws.
>>
>>47001486
My only cantrip is Ojutai's Command, which I dislike playing a set of because it's a 4 drop, so I mainboard 2 and play 2 sideboard.

This is my decklist. Please bear in mind I am new to standard and "competitive" MtG in general though. Any help would be appreciated.

I personally feel like the Reflector Mage in your list is kind of out of place. Right now Reflector Mage is being played only because of CoCo to be able to drop him in at instant speed all you're really doing is casting him, you may as well cast Roil Spout and effectively "Time Walk" your opponent instead, sure they'll cast the card again but they're sure as hell not going to draw another new card.

You have Bygone Bishop as a possible engine so run Erdwhal Illuminator because it's also a Spirit and synergises well with the investigate. Honestly your deck actually seems to have good synergy for the most part, you have potential to really abuse most creatures being cast at instant speed. Mizzium Meddler could easily fit in as a "Spellskite with flash" against particular spot removal or even steal any auras or pump spells against other particular decks. If you want to go with more of a beatdown with flyers you can consider Thunderclap Wyvern for extra +1/+1 on top of your Always Watching. Your early spirit dudes can get pretty big massively out of hand.

Just tweak and tailor your deck for your meta, if you need more anti-aggro stuff then tweak some cards here and there for it. More anti-control needed then play more counters, hexproof etc. Honestly you have the makings of a solid midrange spirits list.
>>

>>47001427

>>
Won my first gameday with UB Brains Meme deck.

I just added black and some removals instead of the bouncers. It worked just fine vs the aggro metagame in my LGS. Reduced Part of the Waterveil to 3 since its not really our winning condition but an enabler.

Really feels good to send over 14 zombies to your opponents face.
>>
>>47002394
Fucking list man, my gameday starts in 4 hoours.
>>
>>47002237
The only reason I even considered it is because it enables delirium on the Topplegeist. In practice, I only managed to use it properly once, against a W/B deck which I beat, and that was the case of me "winning more" since I already dominated. I am considering either removing them altogether or leaving 1-2 copies for occasional delirium/turn 1 mana fixing.
>>
>>47002237

>I don't think two-coloured decks need Evolving Wilds.

Normally you'd be right but the format right now is pretty slow so you can get away with it.
>>
>>47002510
Now from what I've seen at FNM you're not wrong, but that would only mean that there is benefit to playing as much early stuff as possible. Turn 2 EW is a difference between casting Anafenza and starting stacking counters and waiting until turn 3.

To be honest I'm just glad I got into standard at the time fetchlands rotated out, so no one really dominates with expensive mana base.

>>47002110
I know what you feel about Reflector Mage. The fool is not even a spirit. But he's just good and I can hardly find alternatives. Erdhwal illuminator seems like an ok idea but wouldn't I rather be casting more creatures than spend even more mana on investigate? If I found a good 2 drop flying alternative to the Mage I would have considered it.

As for the Thunderclap Wyvern, I am on the fence. I really like the idea of an instant speed 2/3 flier with anthem but it's a 4 drop and I already have 5 of those. Would you replace Archangels with them? Or Ojutai's?
>>
>>47002110
Also, do you think it would make sense to upgrade Always watching and Archangels/Wyverns (depending on whichever I choose) to a full playset? I already bought them so I can do it, just not on the game day tomorrow.
>>
>>47002592

>wouldn't I rather be casting more creatures than spend even more mana on investigate?

Sure but sometimes you don't want to flash in your spirit yet or want to hold up counterspell mana or you actually don't have the spirit yet but want to fake it and if they don't cast anything you may as well just crack and draw. If the game is dragging a bit you can just crack and draw and still have extra mana up. And when decks start playing a crapload of removal/board wipes you can catch up on card advantage.

>As for the Thunderclap Wyvern, I am on the fence. I really like the idea of an instant speed 2/3 flier with anthem but it's a 4 drop and I already have 5 of those. Would you replace Archangels with them? Or Ojutai's?

Just test and see if it works out well for you or if it ends up being garbage. Archangel of Tithes is one of the few creatures to survive Languish naturally but you have so many flyers already and a potential to even have Vigilance I feel that the Archange of Tithes is sort of redundant in trying to hold back. But still I can see why you play it since it never turns "off" with Always Watching. Like I said if you want to play with bigger beats then go for the Thunderclap somewhere. I like Ojutai's Command so keep it in, bringing back a Rattlechain with it can be really good.

For Always watching? Sure, more anthems isn't really redundant. Don't really think you need to up the Archangel count since you don't really want it in opening hand in many cases.

Did you ever consider that one mana U flicker spell that gives it a +1/+1 counter if it's a Spirit? It would give you some resiliency against spot removal and slight beef.
>>
>>47002889
I did! In fact, I ran Essence Flux in sideboard last FNM. I had two problems with it:
>It can reset counters on a creature
>It is less versatile than a Negate or Dispel - it can save me from spot removal but not from Languish or E L D R A Z I sacrifice crap.

I still treasure the thought of playing Eerie Interlude and keep in in the sideboard for the same reason - I just love flickers too much.

>>47002843
I also play the Archangel because it's a flashy card and I managed to pull 2 when I did Magic Origins sealed at a friend's place so I might as well use her.

I think for tomorrow's game day I will get rid of at least 2 Evolving Wilds, maybe all of them.

Some more questions for the learned /tg/:
- Should I keep Invocations of Saint Traft? It seems like a neat trick and I love the flavour but it performed sub-par during the FNM - I wonder if anyone has used it successfully.
- Do you know any sideboard options for Eldrazi hate?
>>
>>47003126

>Should I keep Invocations of Saint Traft? It seems like a neat trick and I love the flavour but it performed sub-par during the FNM - I wonder if anyone has used it successfully.

If it was any other list i'd say cut them immediately. The fact that you have a whole bunch of stuff that can actually protect the creature it ends up enchanting and said creature could even have hexproof at times can be worth keeping. But on the other hand it is a non-bo with the Always Watching for the token. Ask yourself in what particular matchups will you be bringing the card in? If you don't know then probably safe to cut.

>Do you know any sideboard options for Eldrazi hate?

>When I will be bringing it
As a potential three drops where the board state is in stalemate and I have a topplegeist just sitting there being useful. I haven't seen much fliers at all so far - Avacyn being the one exception. Also it's like one way to make the Reflector mage useful after it's been cast other than by just making him chump block.

>Eldrazi hate
Something that can prevent them from dropping their 3-4 hueg creature drops that allow them to filter through my hand and library.
>>
>>47003418

>As a potential three drops where the board state is in stalemate and I have a topplegeist just sitting there being useful

You could have the option of making the Topplegeist bigger or making good use of the delirium much sooner to keep the board locked down.

>Also it's like one way to make the Reflector mage useful after it's been cast other than by just making him chump block.

Here's the problem with this line of thinking. You are playing a card with another card to make it less bad or "ok". You don't want to ever be doing this.

>Something that can prevent them from dropping their 3-4 hueg creature drops that allow them to filter through my hand and library.

Sounds like you got a problem with RG ramp with Worldbreaker which is tough, just going to have to save your Declaration in Stone for them or play some other cards like Angelic Purge. But honestly you either disrupt or go faster.

Come on anon, it's a fucking blue deck. Reacting to their shit is the thing you're supposed to be doing. Unless they have lethal on board you should always wait until you have a counterspell if they have mana open on their turn before throwing the combo at them.

>That is fucking useless if there is no fuel in your graveyard

But you always have fucking fuel in your graveyard because half your deck is about putting shit in your graveyard

And nobody runs any graveyard hate ever since delve went out, not in maindeck not in sideboard
>>
Is it true that the Game Day playmats can sell for $30-50? I won one today and a guy said I should hold onto it.
>>
>>47007389
They sell for about 25€ in Yurop so I assume there's a similar price in Freedomland
>>
>>47007389

Yeah they usually sell for that. Depends on how good the art is.

Updating the parts of my G/W Assault formation deck that rotated out, going to try to get skulk on my defenders with Skeleton key and Behind the scenes...

Also U/R prowess went out so I'm taking it apart for a Harness the storm, brain in a jar-thing with forgotten creation....No idea if it will work.

>go to fnm
>trounce the 2 decks that are homebrews
>lose 0-2 versus Bant Company
>lose 0-2 versus BG deck LSV played at SOI PT in Spain

How fucking lame that 2 guys felt compelled to bring Bant Company and the BG deck to a 16 person FNM
>>
>>47008755
They probably like winning anon.
>>

The worst part was explaining to the guy who was using the BG deck how it worked because I felt so bad for him.

He was sweating, wearing clothes that were too small for him, stuttering, very quiet...And he clearly didn't even know how the deck worked.

It is still a bad deck anyone should avoid. Even ug flash is way better that that pile of trash that guy from mtggoldfish made to bait people woth the "20$ competitive deck"

Got 1st and got the playmat with Seasons Past

It's fun making the opponent play super unfun magic and also winning at the same time
>>
First time ever playing game day and only got back into magic for SOI release after a few year break. Ran RW Goggles and made top 8 at least. Not bad considering the winners were all Pro Tour Top 8 decks with tons of competitive experience on me. Would go again.
>>
I'm running R/G wolf/werewolves and I'm not sure how to deal with the white weenie cancer that is so rampant. Kozilek's Return and Flaying Tendrils kill half of my shit too. Do I have to cave into the white menace and splash it for Dec in Stone. Also, is Westvale worth running in a non-weenie deck?
>>
>placing second
It's almost a worse feeling than going 0-5 on the day.
>>
Piloted Red/Black Control at the FNM yesterday.

Did pretty great just wish I had brought a full sideboard with me. Reading Kalitas to a B/G aristocrat deck was hilarious.

The ramp matchup isn't as terrible as I thought it would be either.

Except I regularly travel to play in events (which I typically at least min cash), which pretty definitively rules me out as a casual. Basically the quintessential middle of the road grinder. Excuse me for wanting to get in actual games outside of playtesting to try and prepare for events.

I hope I see you at GP New York, cuck :^)

Jeskai or Mardu control.

Just came back from Game Day, Went 2-2-1 and ended up in 9th place with a friend's GB Seasons Past
>Won Game 1 vs Mono-White Humans, was pretty ez plus opponent flooded
>Lost Game 2 vs GB Aristocrats, ran out of removal due to all of the creatures + CoCos. Couldn't even languish near the end due to Westvale Abbey and Zulaport Cutthroats
>Won Game 3 vs a friend's Esper Dragons deck. Friend flooded and ran out of answers while I built up advantage
>Tied Game 4 vs Bant CoCo. Game 3 was a big stall with me gaining a shitton of life and my opponent pulling den protectors and CoCos from the top of his deck
>Lost Game 5 vs GR Ramp Goggles. Supposed to be an "easy" matchup but this dude also beat another Seasons Past and Esper Dragons previously. Folded Game 1 due to lack of mana and world breakers, Game 2 had to deal with Chandra + 2 Den Protectors + Dragonlord Atarka

Overall not bad for the little practice that I had with it, would've done far worse with Atarka Red.

I need some advice, I really like GB aristocrats and have been playing it since the protour but I don't think I'm smart enough to play it if that makes any sense, I often miss triggers and don't know when to build up board presence or pressure with creatures and sometimes I'll accidentally scry 3 or scry 2 instead of scrying once multiple times.

I think I need something a little more brain dead to play but still good?

Any ideas?

How needed is Liliana?
Could someone hypothetically make it mono-B aggro splash G for CoCo?

But it's not. It's not super competitive, but if you're playing against people who are not GP and PT top 8 regulars it performs amazingly.

With the exception of White Weenies, no deck in the current meta starts doing its thing before turn 3 or 4 - and by that time, with Brains, you've thrown around enough card draw to find your answer for their deck (be it counterspells, Engulf the Shore or tapdowns). The window of time an opponent has in order to stop you from comboing off if you've done things correctly is either their end step OR your main phase in which you cast Part the Waterveil, which nobody can fucking interact wth.

What are the cards that deal with this deck? Hallowed Moonlight, which nobody maindecks (and you should board in some dispels if they're playing white). Invasive Surgery, which again is unmaindeckable and post-board you're boarding in counterspells if they're playing blue. There are people who run maindeck negates, sure, but in my experience they're more likely to toss them at your card draw or Brains. They go after your hand? Whatever, you've got redundancies, and nobody maindecks Pick the Brain - and you should be bringing counterspells against control anyway. Virulent Plague? Toss in those disperses.

It's not a Tier 1 deck and it won't win a Pro Tour, but it will win FNMs. And if Eldritch Moon brings us some new toys it might actually become some sort of Tier 2 brew.

+2 twice
-8 for Atarka or Linvala or emrakul
>>
Here's what I'm thinking. Goggles + ramp + LD for next FNM. Yay or nay, /tg/?
>>
>>47018153
Honestly goggles are the only way land destruction can be good in the current standard but you'll probably need some more than just that
