Yes, by being rarely, if ever, reposted.
If it has only been copied and reposted once, that make two occurrences.
Only two in all of existence, of anything, is rare.
Not as rare or truly unique as a one of a kind, but still rare.

>Copypasta is copied, implicitly habitually.
True, but there is "Fresh Copypasta" which is still copypasta, despite being new and therefore rarely posted, yet.
So, some copypasta is rare.

Also, some copypasta is posted more often than others.
As such, there is a sliding scale of rarity of copypasta.
The most common and overposted copypasta on one end of the spectrum and the rare copypasta on the other end.
Just like how 32 degree fahrenheit ice is warmer ice than -20 degree or colder ice.
Copypasta is implicitly posted habitually, but there is still rare copypasta.
Ice is implicitly cold, but there is still warmer ice.

That's it. I'm sick of all this "Masterwork Bastard Sword" bullshit that's going on in the d20 system right now. Katanas deserve much better than that. Much, much better than that.
I should know what I'm talking about. I myself commissioned a genuine katana in Japan for 2,400,000 Yen (that's about $20,000) and have been practicing with it for almost 2 years now. I can even cut slabs of solid steel with my katana.

Japanese smiths spend years working on a single katana and fold it up to a million times to produce the finest blades known to mankind.

Katanas are thrice as sharp as European swords and thrice as hard for that matter too. Anything a longsword can cut through, a katana can cut through better. I'm pretty sure a katana could easily bisect a knight wearing full plate with a simple vertical slash.

Ever wonder why medieval Europe never bothered conquering Japan? That's right, they were too scared to fight the disciplined Samurai and their katanas of destruction. Even in World War II, American soldiers targeted the men with the katanas first because their killing power was feared and respected.

So what am I saying? Katanas are simply the best sword that the world has ever seen, and thus, require better stats in the d20 system. Here is the stat block I propose for Katanas:

(One-Handed Exotic Weapon)
1d12 Damage
19-20 x4 Crit
+2 to hit and damage
Counts as Masterwork

(Two-Handed Exotic Weapon)
2d10 Damage
17-20 x4 Crit
+5 to hit and damage
Counts as Masterwork

Now that seems a lot more representative of the cutting power of Katanas in real life, don't you think?

tl;dr = Katanas need to do more damage in d20, see my new stat block.
>>
Also all you idiots posting screencaps, that isn't what this thread is for. Screencaps =/= Copypasta.
>>
>>46949500
Truth.

To what end does one save copypasta?
Why is one better than another?
Honestly curious.

The only benefit I can think of to copypasta over screencaps is misleading others into thinking it's original.
Which would only be occasionally amusing, but not in this thread.

Copypastas lend themselves to the creation of variants, just look at all the versions of the Katanas are Underpowered in d20. As such saving them for use in creating variants is a worthy use.

My friend saw my face and surged saying, “it’s hot in here.” I giggled and she grinned saying, “why don’t you try it?” Before I could protest she grabbed my top and started to take it off. At first I protested but soon let her undress me. After I was naked she suddenly drew me near and grabbed my breasts. Then she squeezed my tits and I started to moan. But she didn’t stop and continued until milk started to flow out of my nipples. I would have gone red but was too busy moaning. After she let me go we had some steamy fun. (I’m not lesbian)

That's it. I'm sick of all this "stale old copypasta" bullshit that's going on in 4chan right now. Masterwork Bastard Sword copypasta deserves much better than that. Much, much better than that.

I should know what I'm talking about. I myself wrote a genuine copypasta edit in /tg/ after 250 posts (that's about 3 days on the board) and have been practicing with it for almost 2 years now. I can even make cynical 4chan nerds rage with my copypasta.

4chan trolls spend years working on a single copypasta and repost it up to a million times to produce the finest greentext known to mankind.

Masterwork Bastard Sword threads are thrice as long as Flare threads and thrice as annoying for that matter too. Any thread furries can ruin, a Masterwork Bastard Sword edit can ruin better. I'm pretty sure a Bastard Sword pasta could easily bisect a 3.5E versus 4E thread with a simple sage.

Ever wonder why moderators never deleted any Masterwork Bastard Sword thread? That's right, they were too scared to fight the disciplined trolls and their copypasta of destruction. Even when /tg/ was good, Anonymous saged the threads with the bastard sword copypasta first because their trolling power was feared and respected.

So what am I saying? Masterwork Bastard Sword is simply the best copypasta that 4chan has ever seen, and thus, require better recognition on 4chan. Here is the stat block I propose:

(Masterwork Copypasta) All trolls on the thread get +5 to rage checks, thread cannot be saged.

tl;dr = Bastard Sword pasta needs to be more effective on 4chan, see my new stat block.

Yes.

Because I'm a slimy pathetic male who yearns to magical realm as a girl. I literally only do it for the fetish, and the same goes for anyone else, whatever they say. I like to picture my shapely bosom, ass and thighs. I like to pretend I can smell my own girl parts and sometimes touch them. I also like the illusion of power that comes from having absolute control over every aspect of my character who is nothing more than a female pawn tailored for my amusement.

There is literally no justifiable narrative reason to play as a female when you are a male IRL. There is no wriggling out of this. Pretending to be a girl for deep-rooted psycho-sexual reasons is all there is. If you can stand up and admit this then you've gone a long way into self-realization and should be commended for your honesty, even though you're as pathetic as I am.

Fucking LOL. Let's be clear here bigot. You are the one who is outdated. You are the one who doesn't belong in the hobby. You are the one whose view is tolerated less and less every day so fuck you and your outdated ideas of what is normal and OK.

I don't need you judging me and I reject your ability to do so. But I will fucking judge you - you fucking hateful bigot. The hobby will be better off when people like you are finally driven away and the rest of us can be free to be who we are instead of playing shut up for you.

Every day is one day closer to you being driven away. Every day your fucking view is less tolerated for the hateful shit that it is. And you got nothing to say in response to any of this other than to just insult me and say hateful shit lie "Please die".

I got none of that for you pal. Not one fucking bit. Because I want you alive and well to see the day you no longer have a place in this hobby and you are the one stuck looking from the outside in as everyone else has a good time.

You know what? I was feeling pretty down in my first post. But I'm feeling pretty good right now. Fuck you bigot, you are the one that is wrong and outdated. Not me.

>What the fuck did you just fucking say about me, you little mammalian bitch? I’ll have you know I graduated top of the Saurischian Order, and I’ve been involved in numerous documentaries on Discovery Channel, where highly educated scientists were paid to jerk off to how badass I was for 40 minutes. I am trained in slaughter and I’m the top murderer in the entirety of prehistoric US history. You are nothing to me but just another snack. I will wipe you the fuck out with savagery the likes of which has never been seen again on this Earth, mark my fucking words. You think you can get away with saying that shit to me over the Internet? Think again, fucker. As we speak I am tracking your IP right now with my superior sense of smell, so you better prepare for the storm, ape. The meteor that wipes out the pathetic little thing you call your age. You’re fucking dead, kid. I can be anywhere, anytime, and I can kill you in over seven hundred ways, and that’s just with my jaws alone. Not only am I extensively trained in unarmed combat, but I have access to millions of years worth of adapted hunting skills, and I will use it to its full extent to wipe your miserable ass off the face of the continent, you little shit. If only you could have known what unholy retribution your little “clever” comment was about to bring down upon you, maybe you would have held your fucking tongue. But you couldn’t, you didn’t, and now you’re an outhouse sandwich, you goddamn idiot. I will shit primal fury all over you and you will drown in it. You’re fucking extinct, kiddo.

>how it skips over the major rebellion that happened partway through British rule.
but it doesn't. It's in the first post ('big, planet-wide rebellion')

>Man, this one bothers me in the viewpoint it takes, how it simplifies things
let's be honest, it makes you subconsciously uncomfortable because you've been fed the evil colonisers vs. innocent natives narrative since kindergarten (re-watched Disney's Pocahontas lately? It's not even very subtle). Now THAT'S simplified. If anything the pic is a whole lot more nuanced that the views most people have, as much as a couple of posts worth of material can be. But 'simplified' isn't the problem you have with it anyway, it's just the excuse you use to go with your gut feeling that it's wrong somehow. Once you wedge open that credibility gap, you can use that to dismiss the whole thing.

I was referring to the Indian Rebellion of 1857. And it's not so much evil colonizers as assuming that all the colonization is automatically good, when it by its nature messed with local traditions and customs and expressed all these moral ideas about uplifting the locals while eventually going back on that and keeping them (and their resources) under their control.

Granted, it wasn't as bad as in Africa, where literally all the infrastructure was designed around taking resources out to the coasts to be shipped elsewhere, and these anti-colonial movements did always start among people educated by Europeans who probably even visited Europe, but when neither side is perfect it seems overly simplified to look at the 'aliens' as being beneficent and the 'human son' as being in the wrong.

nobody said that. I hate to use the much-overused term 'strawman', but you a literally applying your own meaning to the pic just so you have something to knock down.

I'm gonna drop some knowledge on you.

There's an old /tg/ saying that goes "No Game is better than a Bad Game," but recently I saw it condensed into something that holds true even more.

No Game > Game.

The hard truth of our hobby is that the sheer number of That Guys, That Girls, Shit GMs and bad parties outnumber good players with good social habits to such a degree that any given game you join or try to run is almost guaranteed to be a bad game. And the worst part is this: the good gaming groups are not good enough, will never be good enough, to live up to the group that you want in your head or the headache of weaning through bad games until you find a passable one. It will always leave you feeling empty in the end. There's so many That Guys because we are That Community. The fact of the matter is, we might just be That Hobby. No game is better than trying to get a game together.

That doesn't mean you can't enjoy /tg/. He bright side is that you're enjoying the hobby right now in the best possible way: in theory, not in practice. Traditional gaming is infinitely more valuable as an exercise in theory crafting, the discussion and exploration of mechanical systems, world building, and vicariously enjoying the distilled highlights of other people's games. And don't let yourself be fooled, every last "RPG highlight story" and "epic greentext" is, when not an outright fabrication, the result of a desperate attempt on the writer's part to justify the sunk cost of hours and hours of shitty gameplay by extracting a handful of standout moments. The experience of playing tabletop games is almost invariably miserable, and the exceptions will always only be "good enough."

Don't feel bad about That Guy stories putting you off from finding a group. Accept That Guy as what it is. It's the norm, that Natural State of things, and then do what I did years ago: walk away, appreciate the concept of our hobby from a distance, and accept this is how it's meant to be.

I've been looking for a while for a cap of some Croatian dude's response what I think was a hypothetical zombie apocalypse. His response was to go deep into the hills and woods of home country where they'd get no visitors and build a fence. A glorious fence that "could tell you why kids love the taste of cinnamon toast crunch. Could tell you where they were when JFK was shot (they were several trees)" and how his fence wouldn't fall down.
>>
>>46982177
My googlefu has only told me that the screencap is older than 10/12/2011 and that there are a disturbing number of /tg/ threads that combine zombies and cinnamon toast crunch.
