Thinking back to the chain of events that lead you to this moment is hard.

Your companions, the two hollows who decided to follow you on your adventure, still have an expression of pure confusion.
It'd be rude to order them to pick up their hanging jaws, so instead you squat and reach for the ground.
As your palm got close to the rock that turned to dust from your previous exertion of power, the sand separates without you touching it.
Hueco Mundo itself is now a subject to your will it seems.

Are you feeling okay?"
Pesci finally breaks the silence.
"No Pesci.
Okay doesn't begin to describe how I feel."
You don't look at him, your attention is focused on the handful of sand trickling from your closed fist.

Alex asks the question she was trying to properly string together up until now.

And from what he told me he only turned hollow a few weeks before."

As the huge duststorm it created subsides you turn towards the source of it.
The adjuchas class menos that you managed to repel has returned.
Up until now it was probably trying to chase you down.
Its huge monstrous body seems to convulse as it glances over you.

You managed to turn into an adjuchas?"
The black and white symbol that is his mask begins spinning around, it's hard to guess what that could mean.
Without any warning it begins laughing in an almost shrieking manner.
"AHAHAHAHAHAHA.
LOOK AT YOU!
YOU WERE SO DESPERATE TO EVOLVE YOU LOST WHAT LITTLE POWER YOU HAD!"
It appears to be pointing at you with one of its many elongated fingers.
All the while the other hand is busy holding the hollows side while it keeps laughing at you.
"Oh, this is just precious.
But we are also very disappointed.
Getting revenge on you won't be as satisfying anymore.
Looks like I'll just have to torture you for longer then!"
The adjuchas spreads its wing like appendages alongside its arms, preparing for battle.

The turquiose reiatsu gets brighter and brighter as you condense it.
Though definitely powerful it won't be a killing move.

The many appendages of the hollow turn outwards and begin tapping the air like some sort of mime.
Eventually you can see what it's doing, a sheet of condensed reiatsu not unlike that of Pesci begins to form around the adjuchas.
"Orbe hierro!"
But it likely won't change the outcome.
"Cero."
All of the energy that you built up is released.
With the mighty roaring sound of the cero it charges toward your opponent.
As the blast collides with the barrier all the power that you put into it begins to disperse into your surroundings.
"I told you!
It's useless!"
The hollow is correct, however you were anticipating the barrier this time.
In fact the second you fired off the cero you deployed a decoy with Fata Morgana to draw the attention of the hollow.
With a sonido you already made your way behind the adjuchas, your next attack already prepared.
An orb is one of the most stable geometric shapes out there, but even a perfect sphere can be broken.
With full force you deliver a straight punch with your right hand, applying pressure to the two opposing sides of the barrier.
The barrier managed to withstand your cero without moving an inch so there was no fear of it simply moving away due to your punch.
In moments you can see the cracks spreading throughout its structure and just as the beam of the cero nears its end the wall collapses.
With the shards breaking apart and falling all around you you look the enemy straight in the eye as it bends its neck backwards.
"Ever heard of the opossum?"
"Wha-"
"Too bad, it was a good analogy too."
Afterwards you deliver your uppercut.

The hollows mask begins to crack and the two halves even separate after you send your target flying across the sky.
For an adjuchas this thing seems to be quite fragile once you get past those pesky defenses.
As it hits one of the quartz trees the sheer force of the impact creates a small crater on its side.
After it reels forward and smears what appears to be blood coming from the two halves of its mask it begins speaking.
"What the hell?!"
From the tone of its voice it seems to be quite scared.
While typically the hollows voice is like two distinct individuals speaking in unison now there seems to be an audible delay between the two.
Meanwhile if Pesci and Alex managed to pick up their jaws from the floor after your transformation they sure as hell dropped them again.
The difference between this and your gillian form is like night and day.
While your power didn't increase substantially, all the energy that you previously had has been condensed into a smaller, easier to control package.
But this is not the time to muse about such trivial details, instead you shift your focus to the enemy.
Right now its clear for both of you that this fight can end only one way.
"Here's the deal.
You leave now and I'll forget that you attacked me a second time."

It seems that finally had an effect, the adjuchas took the opportunity for survival and quickly took off.

As you turn around you can feel the slight gusts of wind the menos created after departure.
Behind you you can see Pesci and Alex still at a loss for words and very clearly glad that you are not their enemy.

It seems he finally realized that he was worrying for nothing.
You then proceed to walk past them while flicking Pesci on the nose while simultaneously ruffling the hair of Alex.

After all the Forest of Menos and Hueco Mundo in general has a tendency of being an empty wasteland filled with nothing but hollows.
The incredibly dull landscape just further reinforces the idea that Hueco Mundo is the most boring place in existence.
So as to raise your own spirit and that of your comrades you begin singing some good old fashioned german songs.
They don't really have the same effect as they did when hundreds sang it at once but they'll have to do.
Von Finnland bis zum schwarzen Meer; Sieg Heil Viktoria; the ever classic Panzerlied just to name a few.
Strangely enough Alex actually sings along once she memorizes some of the verses.
Pesci doesn't even try, he not only doesn't even remotely know them but he is busy munching on some of the gillian leftovers that make up the last remaining portion of your supplies.
But even that is not enough to elevate things beyond "mildly enjoyable", what a shame.
After a good hour of marching you made some progress.
For starters there is a natural cave formation that you could use as a base, but it's in a less than favorable spot.
It's right next to a path that by your estimations must be a frequently used road.
Your other option to consider is a rather large quartz tree on a remote hill.
This offers more protection but will require more work and it's far away from any mayor hollow activity making it a bad place for food.
However these were all somewhat predictable things to find.
What you've just come across is nothing short of surprising.

Another small group of wandering hollows not unlike your little ragtag team appeared before you.
Well, appeared is not the correct word for it.
Both of you were just casually walking and happened upon each other, which is indeed rare for hollows.
But after coming face to face with them both of your groups just stopped in their tracks and you are now in a mexican standoff.
None of you seem to be willing to take the first step as all of you are clearly nervous about the other group.
The two crews actually perfectly mirror each other as you are standing face to face with the other.
You can be seen in the middle alongside the other adjuchas who appears to be the leader of that group.
A large centaur like creature but her lower half is more like a large goat or ram.
Judging by the appearance of her mask it's the latter. She also seems to posses what looks like a lance.
At first glance it looks like it's a part of her arm but your guts are telling you it isn't.
Besides her can be seen two regular hollows, one quite skinny and resembling a purple ant while the other is a quite large humanoid whose mask resembles one of those tiki masks.
The tension can most definitely be felt by all the participants.
While they don't appear to be hostile they haven't shown any signs of being friendly either.
You really don't know if you should take the lead and begin talking or if it'd be the best to quietly and swiftly leave.
Or perhaps you could attack them before they have a chance to make the first move.

What followed was a now much less tense game of twenty questions between you and Neliel.
Both of you trying to figure out the others history and motives while your subordinates already huddled together and began playing games to keep themselves occupied.
For some reason they are much more relaxed than the two of you, perhaps they are aware that if anything breaks out it'll be between you and Neliel only.
But the more you ask each other the more apparent it seems to become that neither of you really means harm to the other.
If anything, the similarities between your groups became more obvious.
Both of you are exceedingly powerful adjuchas class menos that took weaker hollows under their wings and both of you are simply wanting to survive in a harsh and dangerous environment.
Finally after much inquiry both of you finally let your guards down and sit down away from your comrades but close enough to react should anything happen.
Now that the two of you are sitting face to face Neliel actually puts down her spear and stretches her arm.
"Sorry but my muscles became a bit too tense."
You shake your head.

We can continue when you are comfortable."
After a large audible crack from her shoulder she sighs a bit.

You follow Neliels example and give your neck a good few turns and with a large crack put things back in place.

So now that I know hollows can have "homes" I'm thinking about finding a safe place for that.

You tell her what you've gathered of the surrounding area and what options are here for making a home while also ask her if she has any input.
While she does agree with your idea of using the tree she also tells you her concerns about food and states that hunting like that would be difficult.
You reassure her that you might already have solved that issue.
After giving her everything else she might want to know she agrees to go with you and at least attempt making a camp.

The large tree can be found atop a large mound of sand which offers you a good view of your surroundings.
And although there is no opening on the tree it wouldn't be impossible to make one.

After touching it you confirmed that it is indeed quite hard, harder than the average quartz tree.
Tearing a decent sized hole into it will be a long and tiresome process, so you decide to start it now to get it over with sooner.

Pesche, come with me I'll need the help."
With that she took off to do her own stuff alongside Pesche.
Before you start digging you sharpen your fingers, after all they were never used before.
And after giving it a test swing and having better than expected results you begin clawing your way through the rubble.
At first the others didn't really do much because if you can barely make progress than they won't even make a dent in it.
But they quickly started to feel bad as you make various grunting noises with each wide swing.
So they began helping out in other ways, like Pesci making plates in which the others could carry the rubble and dump it at the base of the mound.
You didn't even stop for a moment for an hour after which your progress was a small dent in the tree, easily six meters tall, ten meters wide and half a meter deep.
After this ridiculous exertion of force you sat down and admired your work in between heaving.
It may not be much but it's a good first step.
And after the others cleared most of the rubble they started inspecting your work as well.
