Would using spirit bomb, then absorbing the energy, on planet Vegeta elevate a saiyan into godhood? The guy who used it is arguing that it should since it only took a pure saiyan, 3 half saiyans and a fucking fetus half saiyan channeling their energy into a pure saiyan for that saiyan to achieve apotheosis.

How did they learn spirit bomb? Why would they know they can absorb it if the main characters didn't figure that out until decades into the plot? Meta knowledge isn't cool.

Nah that's retarded. It's a very specific ritual that needs to take place, one they have no way of knowing about. Besides the spirit bomb typically isn't actually absorbed, just stored for later use.

In any case, be careful of this guy. He's metagaming in the worst kind of way. Make some hard and fast rules you can stick to regarding godhood or super saiyan or whatever in case something like this comes up again.

well, firstly, there's more to the ritual then that.
secondly, you can't take energy from sentient beings without their permission (i.e. the raising hands thing).
thirdly, i'm pretty sure they needed super saiyans (or at least a mayority of super saiyans) for that. And since Vegeta hiself mentioned many, many times that there haven't been any in thousands of years, sorry, no.
Well, is this saiyin a good person and wants to protect the planet? Because the spirit bomb is not saiyan technique. Absorbing the power of it is also unheard of.
Also, the ability to achieve SSJG is impossible as that was lost to the people of Planet Vegeta or at least they can't use it.

Destructo Disc is actually pretty fucking effective. It allows Krillin to punch way above his weight level.

Kienstructo disc is pretty great it's just that it's not the signature move of a saiyan so it can't shine.

Destructo disk is pretty much the inverse of the spirit bomb. It is a quick, powerful attack that let's people like Krillin punch above their weight, so it's never allowed to hit or Krillin might be relevant.
Meanwhile, the spirit bomb is a slow cumbersome attack that leaves the user wide open, so it always hits, but it is never enough to finish off a villain (save for Kid Buu), because the hero has to win by his own power.

Still probably not because they don't have the same amount of energy. Vegeta was considered very strong and his power level upon reaching Earth was shitty compared to the power levels involved in what you are referencing.
