How would your character defeat a telekinetic?

Could they?
>>
>>46801713

Are they powerful enough to stop bullets?

If they are, use a laser instead.

just make sure it's not in the visible spectrum
>>
>>46802015

There's ultraviolet lasers.

But if he can block lasers I guess we're fucked. We could try particle accelerators or just irradiating him, but if he can block all that shit I guess we're just fucked unless we can use psychological warfare to make him break down.
>>
>>46802071
sneak attack / poison food?
>>
To defeat a psychic we shall empoly another psycic.
Only instead of silly jedi party tricks he shall use some Professor X grade mindfucking and put the guy into a coma fo reasy disposal.
>>
>>46802071
drop nukes on him til the EMPs produced by it scramble his clearly more sensitive brain?
then drop another one just to be sure
>>
Just send some mooks to harass him for a while.

He'll tire himself out.
>>
>>46801713
Psi-static emitters. Then use any suitable weapon.

Nothing random about dinosaurs with lasers, bro.

Regardless, it brings up a salient point. Why not counter telekinetics with dinosaurs?
>>
>>46801713
Is the telekinesis limited to his reflexes? In other words, can he catch bullets?
Likewise, is it limited to his line of sight, or line of effect?

Use a 5e path of the bezerker barbarian.
>>
>>46801713
My character has access to blast attacks that hit from beyond visual range, and don't allow reflex save.

It's pretty much my generic "Scry for target, Break the campaign" combo.

If the Telekinetic can stop them, then I am quite fucked, because I don't think I have anything more effective than that. If he can't, then I win.

Maybe I can set up some sort of poison where the Telekinetic lives? Or can he TK the poison out of his system.
>>
>>46805504
Right? What's he gonna do? Telekinesis a Triceratops? I think not.
>>
>>46801713
>Character is an Unoutchable Assassin

Telekinesis and general psychic powers cease to function properly around him. Sneak up on the target until the aura is covering them both and the telekinetic will have to resort to close combat while his mind is being scrambled by the field.

>>
How is telekinesis affected by Newton's Third Law? Is there a reaction and if it is, where is it applied? Because if it, say, applies to brain (where psychic powers usually originate from) simply throwing objects for a telekinetic to deflect might kill him.
>>
>>46801713
The way to kill a telekinetic is like killing a wizard. Don't let them see it coming. Poison in the food, disease, knife in the back.

Or just crack his skull open while he's asleep.

>>46812812
i remember reading about a book that used that for its telekinesis. the telekinetic couldn't exert more force than their brains could physically withstand. while, unique, is kind of lame

no, this isn't like that at all. this is exertion of force without any opposite reaction. no expenditure of energy beyond that of normal thought
>>
>>46812812
Bad telekinetics are limited by their aura displacement.
Good telekinetic will just throw the counterforce somewhere else. Even if its just moving heat around.

>an invincible telekinetic

in the 90's the US Navy was working on something called Low Frequency Active Sonar. it sent out ultra-low frequency pulses at 240+ decibels in order to detect quiet-running submarines.

it made any marine animals in the area go completely fucking insane and try to beach themselves just to get away from it. it made whales try to kill themselves due to the intensity.

take one of those devices and shoot it directly at the telekinetic until he flees or smashes his own head open on a rock.
>>
>>46813068
>invincible telekinetic
>lets shoot sound waves at them
>its not like they're powerful enough or anything to stop air molecules from moving
>>
Chemical attack. Enough to completely saturate the air around them. They'll get tired eventually, then they'll breathe the toxic cocktail Dr Sanchez brewed up.

Or they'll need to get fresh air and be unable to do so because the only non-lethal air nearby is in their telekinetic bubble.
>>
>>46813408
if they know the area they are in is contaminated whats stopping them from moving to a new area or moving in clean air from a safe distance away or just blowing away the bad air?
>>
>>46803874
That picture looks eerily familiar. I may have had that on my wall as a child.

You posted the wrong cavalry there, bub.
>>
>>46801713
Sneak attack or poison.
Basically, have them be unaware.
If they can passively sense nearby brains and skim them for info, use a sniper, drone strike, or poison to take him out.

Poison. Or stab them in their sleep. Or something like that. Generally, anything that doesn't rely on you running up to them and hitting them with shit or shooting them. There's plenty of ways.
