What do people think about a game with only humans, but humans are divided into various mythical races with different abilities?
My primary character can be a normal human, an elf/human hybrid, or a full-on furry wolfman. If he's human or an elf/human hybrid, I sometimes like making him a wolf shapeshifter.
My secondary character can be an elf, a catgirl, or a full-on furry catwoman. If she's an elf or a catgirl, I sometimes like making her a cat shapeshifter.

It's not about HFY. A human has much more roleplaying freedom than a non-human, and people have to look for a way to make their characters interesting without using their race as a crutch.
Technically everyone in Shadowrun is a human. But the reason is because it's a Humanis campaign.
