Big enough for nasties of all sizes.
>>
Anywhere between a single ship to a Jupiter sized object. Not really, I am mean, there really is no limit to their size.
>>
>>46697735
that sounds pretty big

You know the ancient megaliths in the background of Homeworld?

They're not a uniform size. Space hulk isn't a class of ship. It's just a term for any large derelict.
>>
>>46697702
A Space Hulk can be a single Imperial (or Xenos) ship (which could be kilometers in length, and even greater in volume) or several derelicts lodged together in one big scrap field, so there is little to no uniformity in how large a Space Hulk is.
>>
Big enough for Xenos to nest in.
>>
>>46697702
about 8x17x5
next you should ask what the unit of measurement is
>>
>>46697702
how long is a piece of string?
>>
How small can a space hulk be? Say if the remaining half of Event Horizon reappear in the outer solar system would it be classified as a small spsce hulk?
>>
>>46697702
Usually really big since they're often a bunch of derelict ships and asteroids fused and rammed together by random warp currents

Thiiiiiis long.

One ship is a derelict. A hulk generally has multiple ships from multiple eras and races, as well as asteroids, congealed nightmares, and ice thrown in for good measure.

One truly gigantic ship from Imperial pre-history, or xenos manufacture, might be mistaken for a hulk if sufficiently damaged, but the Event Horizon was the size of an Imperial in-system shuttle. It probably wouldn't be noticed unless you went looking.

Pretty much. They're piles of hulked and wrecked ships that got pulled into the warp and melted together.

There can be valuable finds for those things, be it ship hulls of venerable warships or archeotech systems, but the problem is that more often than not they have something else on board already.

It wasn't that big.

what blessed unit upon the emperor's glorious rubric is it, O great surveyor colonel of his radiance's imperial bureaucracy? Cadian furlongs? Simbrachian acres? The dread Catachan mile?
