Quick question about dice. Is there a way to roll 'Tarot' e.g. a 'd22'?
Rolled 8 (1d22)
this maybe?

JESUS FUCKING CHRIST, DO YOU EVEN PLAY ACTUAL TAROT CARD GAMES?

What >>46686962 did. Altho keep in mind that stuff like "dice+1d22+1d4" won't work, only uniform dice with one number addition as "dice+XdY+Z"
Unless I'm misunderstanding your question OP it sounds like you've solved it yourself. There's just the matter of assigning numbers to them
If you generally need to roll a bizarre number the easiest ways to do it are get the next biggest thing and reroll or divide it up some way. For a d22 you could just roll a d100 until you get a number below 23 or do the same thing only divide it by 4 and reroll on 23 and up

Working on a JoJo RPG, thought it would be novel to add silly stuff like a Tarot card table since I am done with the main rule stuff.

I didn't phrase it well. I mean 'how to d22 in a clean way that doesn't have remainder amounts'. At this point I am thinking of just doing d100 (1-12, reroll, divide each arcana into 4 numbers of a d100). But if something smoother comes up, I would want to try that.

Deck of cards, faggot.
Other than that, >>46687001.

You can get a marginally more effective system if you roll 1d6/2, round up, multiply by 3, subtract 1d8, and ignore results of 24 or 23. That's the best you'll do, though.

>a Tarot card table
Just get a deck of tarot cards.

>>46687119
Not everyone has a set of Tarot cards at hand, especially when it comes to over internet play.
>>46687116
>roll 1d6/2, round up, multiply by 3, subtract 1d8
That gives you results from -5 to 8. Try again.
>>46687130
If you are playing on Internet you can do random 1 to 22 anywhere.
It is only a dilemma if you want to get 1d22 using math and tricks on regular common dice sizes.
>>46687179
Oh and for which you can do (1d4-1)*6+1d6, reroll if 23 and 24.
>>46687130
Not everyone has a set of dice at hand, either.
If tarot decks just aren't available, get a deck of regular cards and assign tarot cards however you want.
>>46687179
You know what, you are right. I am just going to go with d22.

Thread is over. >pic related is final result.
>>46687170
Multiply by 8, sorry. And add 1 I guess.
>>46688134
Ahh, that's what was weird. Yeah now you've got a standard formula. Although d4 and d6 >>46687193
is easier
>>46686948
Why don't you just draw from a deck of 22 playing cards, and have a table that tells you which tarot card each playing card represents? Everyone has a deck of cards.
>>46687093
Use a dicebot
