There's actually a stories to the middle two.
Sharks came about during a 1st lvl game of Pathfinder where the equivalent of a great white ripped a great chunk out of one of the party members who thought he was fine because of a class feature. We had to explain it didn't reduce damage from being gnawed on by shark and asked what his resistance to Shark Damage was.
Monkeys came about playing Soul Caliber 4. Just as on of the players beat the other with a Hadoken looking move the stage proced it's rare animation which was a stampede of a couple hundred monkeys. So it looked to all of us like he'd just won by firing off a Super Monkey-doken.
