the orange rarity is "mythic rare" it replaces a regular rare in a pack a certain percentage of the time. the current set has double-faced cards, which have a separate rarity system, which is why you got a mythic and rare double-faced card.
the gold chick is a planeswalker, a new type introduced in lorwyn (i don't remember what year that was. well after exodus) and is not a creature. they're pretty rules heavy so rather than explain everything, you can read more here:

Some are good, some are shit. Mythic mostly exists so that they can print cool shit without worrying about fucking up limited too much. Mythic cards are almost always limited powerhouses, though there are exceptions where some mythics just have unusual efffects or are complicated
