What kind of movies would elves make?
Incredibly long ones, think like, marathoning a season of a TV series.
Common themes would be about personal struggles that in the end, don't really change anything.
The Wire, would be an Elf Movie.

Probably art films which go to great lengths to portray subtle degrees of character and story, with plot after subplot layered one on top of the other. They consider 3 hours to be a bit on the short side.
That and the occasional chick-flick or comedy that focuses on the ineptitude of everyone surrounding the main character, but those are considered low-brow popcorn flics. And then there's their adult video scene. Humans fucking REVOLUTIONISED that area of entertainment...
>Every film is a nuanced masterpiece that gets better with each rewatching, an instant classic that gets hailed by critics as a life-changing experience, with a brilliant story, awe-inspiring attention to detail, unforgettable performances, and sublime aesthetics that carve each frame forever in your heart

>"It was too complicated. It was more like a book than a movie. Very pretty though.
>While not a commercial failure, it failed to meet the investors expectations in the Box Office
>No sequel is planned
I like to think that they go fucking nuts for terrible rom-coms.

Think like the late 50s-60s Epic Movies like Ben-Hur, Spartacus, The Ten Commandments, Laurence of Arabia, and the like. Cast of thousands, dozens of locations across the globe, million dollar budgets, lasts close to 4 hours.
Then crank it up even more.
Elves live for-fucking-ever, if it takes 700 takes to get the words right, then thats what it takes. If it takes 50 years to amass the capital and actors to make the flick then so be it. These would be the magnum-opus' of each director's thousand year life, they can take time to make it perfect.
Most characters would be elves, or maybe dwarves. If any humans or other shorter lived peoples are cast they would be either used in shorter supporting roles or if the plot spans a longer time would be cast for their entire life, in some cases becoming their character. Why bother trying to find an actor who looks like the young prince who then went off to war, just wait 10 years while we get our perfect camera pans and then continue the rest of the story.
Now, what are elven memes like?
>>46594352
Slow to change and slow for new ones to become adopted. They don't go in for shallow things like reaction images though.
An elven meme is an actual meme; a cultural touchstone and universally-recognised point of common understanding that facilitates easier communication and co-ordination of ideas between parties. This is part of why elven society seems so homogenous, split between only a few cultures; their memes are too effective at bringing people together. Other cultures, such as humans, try to copy elven memes for art, philosophy, politics, economics, or even warfare, but within a generation, they have mutated and changed in the hands of the shorter-lived species and no longer are as effective as they once were, resulting in the myriad different cultures of humanity.
The elves actually don't mind. They find the changes to their formulas and the resultant diversity fascinating and occasionally take the most promising to refine into something new for them. It's a slow process, but the end result is usually sublime.

More like whole cultural ideas, like how we all understand the idea that a customer has certain rights. If they are sold a defective product, they have a right to their money back; or that slavery is wrong. Ideas like that shape a society and culture - those are genuine memes.
