No you won't. These threads never amount to anything nowadays. Too many of them. Chill for awhile and maybe people will be up for it.

Convicts: Serving their sentence on the front lines, the slime.

Do you guys want to roll on the Nature of Recruitment or just pick the Punishment/Redemption/Recycling option from that table?
>>
>>46588257

>>46588291
Ok, roll a d10 then to see what we get

>>

>>
>>46588461
nah go ahead, hive warfare seems to imply Krieg levels of fucked up and mechanized infantry can mean a mad max regiment.

OP its confirmed, regiments balls are made of the sleaziest slime in the IoM. Get Slimey, toads
>>
>>46588684
Dark Eldar

Want a re-roll?
>>
>>46588693
nah that's a chaos manifestation and works well for 'white line nightmare: the home world'

what next?
>>
>>46588714
Nothing, that's the entire table. Here is the recap

>Imperial Guard
>Convicts
>Punishment/Redemption/Recycling
>They are from a wasteland shrineworld
>Core units are mechanized infantry
>Specialization: Hive warfare
>Loyalty rating = Fanatical
>Special Equipment is Modified Weaponry
>For The Homeworld
>Regiment Friends are the Ecclesiarchy
>Enemies with the Dark Eldar

Now let us fluff them out!
>>
>>46588766
Here are a few things to get us started:
>What's the name of the planet and the regiment
>When was it raised?
>Why convicts?
>>
>>46588766
I was thinking their homeworld is a former hiveworld and manufactorum, bombed to hell and back with the only major centers of population left being sacred temples of one sort or another.

something something dark eldar slaving outposts in the ruins.

now the regiment patrols the world for salvage and to spread the emperor's glory from their souped up vehicles.
>>
>>46588838
Soudns cool
>>
>>46588766
That kinda makes sense, have them be religous ex-gangers imprisoned and forced into the guard. Used to maintaining, repairing, and upgrading their own weaponry in the name of big E.
>>
>>46588871
>>46588833
Asphaultii Infini

the world is 90% savage gangs outside the temples. Local commissars and ecclesiarchs indoctrinate tribals taken in for recruitment while administratum scribes and magos work on the rest.

since the the world is a former forgeworld it has plenty of tech to salvage.

orks might like fighting these guys since they're proppa orky

uniforms come in 'tribal' 'mad max' and 'exclesiarch's favored'
>>
>>46588935
How about we do something other than not!MadMax?

A wasteland can mean many things such as radiation to zombies or whatnot
>>
>>46588935
sounds a bit judge dredd, with the wastelands and the old judges how go there to spread the word.
>>
>>46588955
we're mechanized infantry with customized weapons. that's either immortan joe's warboys or orks.

and that zombie plague doesn't really clash with tribal speed junkies

>>46588968
Commisariat, Ecclesiarch, and Arbite missions into the waste would be pretty rad.
>>
Chimera with ecclesiarchal rosarius force shields.

yes or yes?

YES!

so modded weapons. I'm thinking sawn off shotguns with boltershells, las rifles with underslung grenade launchers, flamer turrets and cheras with vox speakers that broadcast prayers.
>>
>>46589556
All of my yes!

>>
Should we be in control of our homeworld or should it be organized anarchy?
>>
>>46589738
Why not be a monastery in wastes, coming around every once in a while to round up mutants and deviants and spread the word of the emperor?
>>
>>46589738
>>46589796
a system of monasteries, commissarats, mechanicus, and arbite fortresses. basically a mix of the old forge world powers holding onto functional infrastructure and fighting cults, mutants, and xenos in between recruitment drives with the local tribes
>>
>>46589923
I like this idea
>>
so for a name, something like the 'Promethium Crusaders' or the 'Asphault Warriors?'
>>
>>46590000
Wasteland Knights?
>>
>>46590000
I think it should have redeemer/redemption or Crusaders part on it...

Redeemers of desolation
Crusaders of (insert planet name here)
The Emperors crusaders
>>
>>46590000
>>46590097
>>46590130
Wasteland Redeemers

until someone has something better our only planet name is Asphaultii Infini which is kind of a mouthful
>>
>>46590182
How about our planet is just called something simple as: Gavrikov, Kentra-IV or maybe Valdea?
>>
>>46590215
those just sound like random scifi words. I'd at least like garbled english like 'Desolatia' or abused latin.
>>
>>46590250
Desolatia asphaltium?
>>
>>46590301
that's better

next on the agenda?
>>
>>46590316
Perhaps the goverment (or what imperial goverment that is left)
>>
>>46590321
I was thinking remnants of the old administration (ecclesiarchy, commissariat, administratum, arbites, mechanicus' etc) in massive fortresses linked by sturdy world spanning roads with a worldspanning wasteland outside.
>>
>>46590321
Counsil of the Wise
, a ad-hoc gathering of those who are not too busy keeping the pockets of civilisation from collapsing
>>
>>46590316
>>46590321
Or maybe what the planet itself looks like?

I am imagining that (if we are going that it was a forge world) there are layers and layers of aincent hab blocks, giant sewage pipes, manufactorums, roads, train tracks etc and ontop of all that is a dry, cold rocky landscape that shows almost no signs that it was once a forgeworld, besides the fortresses the Imperials lives in. And those themselves might just be a tip of an iceberg.

oblivion14n-6-copy.jpg
76 KB, 970x664
>>46590417
Basicly like this, but more massive and aincent
>>
>>46590417
I was gonna go with scorched desert but barren cold wasteland works. In general I was thinking orks and dark eldar regularly raid the world for loot and slaves so you wind up with these massive pits in it that lead down into the old forge world proper and expeditions into 'the underworld' for tech are common and dangerous
>>
Maybe there can be a cryostorm on the planet as well? It could have been an old reactor safeguard that were ment to cool down in case of overheating. But the coolant storm is still going on
>>
>>46590524
I wouldn't want snow with this. bleak desert or rocky wasteland but no snow.
>>
>>46590524
Maybe normal storms or radiation storms like from FO4
>>
>>46590632
>>46590524
radiation storms trigged by Deldar activating a webway portal
>>
>>46590632
BLOWOUT SOON FELLOW SUBJECT OF THE EMPEROR!
>>
>>46591008
>get out of here redeemer
>what are you doing redeemer?! Get in here!
What an awful glitch
>>
>>46588999
Why not just "WASTE-land", a world that is now used as a junk jard after the it officially lost it's status as a shrine world to the Imperium, but it's inhabitants feel pissed because of that and passive aggressively maintain their temples.
>>
>>46590417
Yee, but those are only thr major hubs. In between those you got HIGG SPEED lanes, which are 100% straight lines dug through the terrain to connect the hubs and make production more efficient. The rest is just a massive 'oil tanker crashed ontop of national park for some reason' scenario, with oil and debris everywhere.

Some say that there are underground tunnels dug by the inquisition where they would hide heretical prototypes...but not the kind of prototypes you are thinking about...
>>
>>46590567
Why not? Would be a nice spin on the not!Madmax scenario.

Also: since we got expeditions into the tunnels and mechanized infantry: maybe they use smaller and less armored versions of the standard vehicles.
