Friendly creatures thread. Art and stories welcome.
Baby gray render nearly got slaughtered by the party until they saw the children run TOWARDS it when it came out of the woods during a goblin invasion of the town they were in.
For some reason I love it when creatures that look ugly, disgusting, dangerous and violent are actually really kindhearted and gentle.

The only thing more gratifying than seeing hideous monsters casually intermingling with humans in an RPG, is seeing the player character's reaction to hideous monsters intermingling with human NPCs in an RPG.

He only wants to heal your wounds and make you happy.

Pretty sure that is flesh.
Does anyone have art of giant demons showing kindness to children?
That shit might just break my heart. Friendly demons in general depress me.

Posted on the EVO Thread that just crashed and burned, looks like it could fit here.

what happened?

Shaolin Cowboy.

Shit posters just declared the big creature in that comic and another one were extinct and edited them out of the evolution tree. The thread lost the people working on those creatures, and a bunch more as it developed into petty arguments.

God bless the Giant Intelligent Friendly Talking Spiders! I had that shareware game too.
God damn I'm old.
>>46583909
They have been remade, playing through new ones for nostalgia reasons. Check "Avernum" if you want. Don't worry developers are still awesome.
Anyone have anything like an adult demon/shadow creature thing trying to protect a young demon/shadow thing of a different species?
Bonus points for male adult female young
Also bonus points for the young one being a spoiled child and trying to touch/get into something very dangerous.
eg Grown Demon tries to keep little zombie girl from walking into a fire, even though she really wants to. Or some shit like that.

So, What's the game?
>>46584346
Avernum! By spiderweb software! Try all of their games, both the geneforges series and Avernum are awesome. Avernum EFTP is on IOS as well, and is the one they're talking about. There's this little colony of friendly spiders who think you are just the coolest shit in the world, but aren't all that bright.
If you want I can find you the keygen I used to test the games, or you could just try their demos.
>>46581830
Isn't it Creeper who does that?
>>46584935
There's a really cheap mass copy of all the Avernum and Geneforge games on GoG, IIRC.

>Party is exploring some dungeon or shit
>Suddenly this weird elemental fucker bursts out of the ground and starts wrecking our shit
>We fight him back, wizard rolls Arcana, realizes it's a Xorn which is some kind of a earth elemental thing
>Really out of place here, so Wizard casts Tongues and talks with it
>Everybody stops fighting
>Xorn chills out, apologizes for attacking, thought we were monsters
>Ask the Xorn what it's doing here.
>"I'm an adventurer."
>What the fuck?
>Band together with Xornbro who apparently now has levels in Rogue and in scouting for us from underground
>Finish dungeon, part ways with Xornbro, Adventurer Extraordinaire
>He's still out there, delving dungeons and slaying monsters

>People being nice to their slaves
You really don't see that very often in fiction, do you? It's always brutal cunts acting like the Spanish in South America, or the slave states before the Civil War.
I mean, if you have a slave, you're going to be spending a lot of time in their company and they're going to have a lot of involvement in your life. You might as well treat them as decently as you can.

>It's always brutal cunts acting like the Spanish in South America
....You mean mass racemixing?
>or the slave states before the Civil War.
Fieldniggers got it bad but houseniggers could have it pretty good. A housenigger could even get to the position where he ordered around other slaves.
Even the supposed worst periods of slavery had their nuances. Slavery is bad but it wasn't all "whipped until you work yourself to death".
>>46587861
"whipped until you work yourself to death" is exactly what I meant by the Spanish in South America. It was all the worst excesses of chattel slavery.
