Who would of thought the creation thread would of died on me...first time that has ever happened.

Civ type selected is Megacorp remnant.
HQ is megatower.
Homeground is undecided.
Terrain is undecided.
Hero is undecided.

Previous debate was between mountains and canyons for terrain or homeground.

fluff has not been decided but good fluff may provide special bonuses.

As a megacorp you get to treat ordinary resources as a specialized material in terms of usage. This both boosts their use making them more effective but also raising the resulting quality.

Naturally this makes you quite the target in the post apocalypse. The only other faction with a target sign painted on them bigger or roughly equal to a megacorp remnant is a think tank remnant.

So beware the greed of other factions as bandits more likely then not may not be your only concern in terms of potential threat.

Logistics specialist. A big problem for the megas is having loyal workers and even more importantly loyalists who can keep their mouth shut. There are after all shady matters that corps are fond of. Without the right type of preferably quiet workers who wont betray them is quite a concern of theirs.

Oh yes Bandits are a Megacorps worst nightmare, and since this is Genie's post apoc expect crazy bandit shit like literal witches or tech scroungers in looted stolen sci fi stuff and general "fuck up your shit and your day" type banditry.

Historically as Megacorps the best defense we did was to hire other paramilitary and mercenaries to defend us, and late game start up our own production lines for weapons and vehicles.

In Genie's post apoc game, the only 'stable' sources of barter commodity are Resource Points, Supply points, and any kind of Fuel.

Supplies are more valuable than Resources. Supplies would be refined metal parts and pieces while resources would be just a hunk of unrefined scrap metal.

There is definitely slavery though especially for bandits and evil mutants. And mutant bandits.

More oldie advice. The post apoc world is a very barter type trade economy if you do engage in that sort of thing.

This makes any type of hero with Charisma, Diplomacy or especially CEO's extremely valuable. If paired with a crit, they can and have tricked deals such as trading off worthless bits of soil for a functional Super Tank and that's being modest. In the sci fi version of this game we basically bought an entire Death Star for what amounted to peanuts thanks to a CEO type hero.

We do, and we can and should raise our own forces. But what I'm saying is we will lag behind most other factions in that area, so we'll need to play the metagame as well.

Word of advice on scouting and exploration. Both tend to be used synonymously but there is a subtle but important difference.

Exploring is general. Scouting is focused.

Exploring reveals a wide area but doesn't exactly get into much detail. Scouting is like a "fine toothed comb"

that being said it's perfectly fine for us to scout our immediate homebase just to check for any monsters or such.

We have dug some trenches outside the tower. Not fun given how its rocky mountain terrain but luckily we had some construction equipment available to help out. Which made a very big and important difference.

Forces still complained about it though.

Luckily laying out some barbed wire wasn't nearly such a pain and was in fact quite the breeze to complete. Sadly we didn't have any mono wire available.

Forces have made contact with a local paramilitary force. Their base or bunker apparently is built into a sheer cliff. Only way to get there and out is through flight. They are shockingly secured despite not being a bunker base.

While we were able to convince the paramilitary to part with some of their used gear in exchange for a supply and against all odds we were able to successfully reverse engineer some of it thanks to no small part of our top engineer Ginny Bobo.

Problem is we don't have the materials to make more of it. In other words every piece of gear they got is a irreplaceable treasure. Only the old world readily had the special materials and specialized equipment required to make more of it.

The same could be said for some of our construction equipment.

We may have the equipment to make it or make the tools required to do so but we simply don't have the materials. Not even our best engineer can figure a way around.

In other words those priceless schematics are surprisingly useless. Not to mention they only gave us some of the more basic gear. Their specialized and upper gear they kept. Even the used or broken stuff.

Copy Cat: When activated able to copy a heroic ability, unit, or tech. Can only can be active one at a time.
Bot Out: When used on friendly forces temporarily gain the robotic trait if used on hostile forces they temporarily gain the rampant trait. Can be channeled and lasts only as long as it remains channeled.

Passive
Build Up: When hero isn't active per an turn a bonus is stored up that is unleashed when hero finally does take action. If hero is taking multiple turns on same and keeps repeating said action will result in an increase to the effiency of said action. This effect will last even if the hero stops said action equal to the number of turns said hero took part before wearing off.

My first instinct is to assign bobo to the vehicle bay with explicit instructions to design, build, handpick and train a team of the best power armored troops we can muster.. And by jacking the "corporate override" skill from the ceo with his "copy cat" he can probably acquire everything he needs.
