What is an object called that channels energy from something/someone else. Like if I had a Staff that sapped energy from a demi-god or something when I used it, what's that called?

A magical sparkplug. You use it to facilitate the magic. Lots of people used catalyst for magic. It just means a wand, even if it's not stick shaped. If you can't do magic without it, it's the catalyst.
