post gods of all types. preferably weird and/or really minor gods, and if you want to, tack a description on. maybe a few rituals associated with it. I need it for a pantheistic cleric/shaman. (spoiler) try not to go full tentacle Cthulhu stuff, cause that's boring(/spoiler)
I'm not sure what constitutes a god, but I'll share some stuff.

is this a joke? I appreciate you all bumping my thread, but really these are bad sh!tposts. is this how you punish me for a vague prompt? or do you need some sort of example? I thought it wouldn't be very hard, guys, but maybe it was. I thought that the picture I posted was a pretty good model, but maybe I was wrong, or maybe you all are jerks, or you simply misunderstand, or this was just bait and I fell for it hard. i don't know what your intent was, but could you please tell me? just to troll? thank you for your help, anyway.
Anyone have any interesting idols or natural-looking phenomena that could be worshipped?
>>46469213
One Punch Man. The original webcomic drawn by ONE, as the redrawn version by Murata isn't anywhere near this point in the story. More specifically, this takes place rather late in the Monster Association arc. I'd give you the specific page, but I don't think batoto hosts it any more.
>>46469279
Cause it reminded me of something I wanted to make a long time go
>>46469237
Haha, looks like they got you pretty good, but as you said, it kept your thread bumped so no harm done.
This wind thing is sufficiently impressive looking, no?
By the way, you should use brackets to denote spoilers rather than parenthesis. Like so:[*/spoiler] Just remove the asterisk and you're golden.
>>46469372
Here a more natural looking critter. I could see somebody worshiping this. Hopefully it's not too Cthulhu-ish for you.
>>46469468
>>46469237
>sh!tposts
Is this what your image is about, mate?
>>46469237
Maybe you have a different idea of what a "weird and minor" god is than some folks do.
>>46469468
These new captchas are really pissing me off. Multiple solutions required my ass. Sometimes I have to click an image 5 or 6 times. I swear these just become more and more of a pain in the ass. Maybe I should just tab to the classic typing ones.
>>46469279
Has he met the #1 in the hero association yet?
>>46469535
Then use legacy caption you mongoloid.
>>46469535
The audio ones are alright if you're not listening to music or watching TV.
>>46469577
Nope.
Though I'm interested to see what will happen when he does.
>>46469522
To be fair, I don't think anyone expected him (or his DM) to elate at the idea of worshiping the lolrandom Gods of Catbeardyaweh and Popebama the Manpegasus.
Not when his character could be worshiping a more legit deity, like Satan the friend to all children.
>>46469662
I think at least >>46468784 was pretty legitimate.
>>46469577
Technically no, but he did give the #2 a small reality check. I think the Toddler Tornado is a little less likely to throw her weight around after the energetic chat she and Baldy had recently.
>>46469577
No, but the #1 appeared in someone else's flashback. Probably just foreshadowing to something like three arcs in the future, but we'll see.
>>46469716

Read the text on the image he attached.
The Lord of Shadows, the Emissary of Despair, the Final Breath
or any other edgy name you can come up with, picture just looks cool
>>46469662
>Popebama the Manpegasus.
It's a fucking buraq. You know, the well-known semi-divine folkloric being that Barack Obama is named after? The type of being specifically named in the file name?

>>46469237
I'll dump gods with less frivolous appearance then, if that's what you mean to say. Since you didn't disclose what you meant up front, you're gonna have to say what you like and don't for anyone to know what you're talking about.
>>46469955
If only republicans knew anything about mythology, they wouldn't have had to do the "Osama/Obama: Coincidence?" thing.
Some of this stuff my count as porn on /g/, but it's art here.
>>46469695
>>46469881
well, while interesting, i hardly think a man in a pseudo-paisley (I don't know what else to call it) suit would qualify as a god, though I think that I might have wrongly categorized it.
>>46468652
10/10 would worship
>>46470052
He's not a god because he has a suit. He's a god who chooses to look like that. After all, you'd have to be godly to pull off an outfit so ridiculous. And it's certainly not stranger than someone being a god because he has a shitty old cloak and a big stick-and-feather hat.
>>46470005
Well I personally would leap at the chance to kneel at the altar of a crow with a fedora, so at least I appreciate you, anon! Your effort didn't go to waste.
>>46470052
Not all gods need to be inhuman. Sometimes all they need to be is a little out of the ordinary. Plus plenty of these images could probably qualify as something else.
God of blood/war/deception/women I dunno
>>46470021
Yeah, given the choice between being attacked by some pissed off old guy and a winged horse with the head of a man wearing a mitre I'd probably pick the old man.
>>46470040

Super generic but maybe that's what OP wants, I don't know.
>>46469237
Calm down. Getting responses like this is a hell of a lot better than being ignored. There's some good stuff here, just scroll past the shit you don't like.
>>46470143
I agree. Sometimes being strangely ordinary while having an odd quality one can't put their finger on can have more impact than a super obvious giant monster thing.
Like this guy for example. Would you worship this? Confirmed for most powerful being in LotR, the eponymous One Ring did not have SHIT on him.

reminds me of one of the recurring deities I have in my various settings, an entity I usually just call the Overlord of Darkness, he's an entity that has many different forms and methods(he's heavily inspired by how the Overlord in the Descent boardgame works)
>>46469976
I use that picture to represent the most ancient avatar of an entity called the Mother of Wyrms, who along with her mate Father of Storms is not only the progenitor for most life in the world, but especially the more monstrous sort, overall they're technically Neutral albeit in a very terrifying sort of manner

>>46470242
yeah, I know, but it felt like if I didn't state my opinion, people would think I was okay with things that sort of are irrelevant to what I wanted. I also felt it was mocking me, and my genuine request. it just wasn't looking to be a good thread at the time. but things got better, and I will use a lot of these later pictures.

>>46470331
that is a really good argument, and I retract my previous statement. paisley guy is alright, but I still probably won't use him particularly
>>46470005
yeah, I'm sorry for not being specific. here is precisely what I want: something that could reasonably be worshiped or feared as a god by a villager, druid, cleric, or cultist in a fantasy world. I hope I am being clear. they can, or even should, be strange and diverse, but I don't want them to be too humorous or silly. keep in mind that there can be multiple gods for one thing. here are some things I thought were good (keep in mind, I'm partial to antlers, but I will try to include variety), and I will definitely try to include:
>>46469716 probably some war god
>>46469535 rain god? probably a secondary domain of birds
>>46469827 god of forests, obviously, but also god of the lost. if I were to ascribe some characteristics, they would be something like, "his three eyes are the fruit of every plant, the knots of every tree, the rings of every fairy dance," and his rituals include meditating in the forest.
>>46469881 I'd give him a title like, "the great and heavy jewel of the desert," and in place of fasting, his subjects abstain from water for short periods. sun god and death god.
>>46469955 forest and death god. likes sacrifices of wolves, or humans.
>>46469976 snek god, also god of wealth. worshiped mostly by the oppressed, who believe this is how their oppressors came into power.
>>46470014 I just like this one
>>46470229 local god of that waterfall. village protector.
>>46468069
Solarus: The guiding light. This minor god prefers not to directly meddle in the affairs of its worshippers but instead dispenses sage (if annoyingly cryptic) advice to those that call upon them. Rituals associated with Solarus are often time consuming testing the patience of those who attempt to enact them. The most common ritual is one to receive portents of what is to come and this ritual is simply to go out into nature on a sunny day with a small bowl of honey and spend an hour or two focusing upon the bowl till Solarus appears to take the offering and dispense wisdom.
>>46471172
>something that could reasonably be worshiped or feared as a god by a villager, druid, cleric, or cultist in a fantasy world.
So literally anything, then.
