Oh speaking of Armada, I have a few questions:

1. Imperial Raider, Is it any good in armada?

2. The NK-7 Ion Cannon upgrade, when it says that target ship discards a defensive token does that mean it's gone for the rest of the game then? and is it worth the point cost to include it?
>>
Has anyone run an SW RPG with FATE and done anything special with lightsabers? I'm considering getting rid of the stress track when fighting with lightsabers and just using consequences, but that seems like could make lightsabers even a bit too dangerous, and I'd ideally like at least most of the PCs to survive until the last part of the campaign. All PCs are Jedi padawans, so there's going to be a lot of waving lightsabers around, and I'm trying to think of ways to make that more interesting and as exciting as in the movies and cartoons. Maybe with some fun stunts?
>>
>>46459192
>Has anyone run an SW RPG with FATE
why would we run a Star Wars RPG using FATE when FFG already has a perfectly decent system already available?
>>
So I guess we're still waiting on the anon who said he'd scan Special Mods for us? Grabbed the Abridged file from OP, just wanna get my hands on the rest of it. Also, don't suppose anyone has a PDF of Mask of the Pirate Queen?
>>
>>46459260
I chose FATE because I've run other games with it before with most of this group, and I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a whole new system and special dice, and learn it and teach to the players. I wish I had known earlier that the Force and Destiny book existed, though, I only had access to the Edge of Empire and decided that it didn't have enough Force stuff for a Clone Wars era Jedi-focused campaign.

Raider can make a decent squadron support ship
>>
Here's a list I've been goofing with. I doubt that it's really super competitive but I mostly like the name

>MIND QUAD
>Palob w/ Mindlink, Blaster Turret, Bossk
>Kavil w/ Mindlink, Dorsal Turret, Unhinged
>Black Sun Ace w/ Mindlink
>Kaa'to Leeachos w/ Mindlink, Cluster Missle, Guidance Chips

Everyone except Kavil is PS 5, which gives a lot of freedom in both maneuvering and figuring out who needs to actually focus. Bossk is fun on Palob because if he's already stressed, everyone gets the focus and nobody gets stressed. Kaato can TL, get a mindlink focus, then steal an ally's focus (which gives that ally a focus back) and then fire off the clusters with a focus for each shot. After that he(?) can just block and be the focuser for the party.
>>
>>46460238
The weak-link IMO is the Blaster Turret. It's too easy to shut down, and has the problem of burning a focus to fire it. And now with Dorsal Turret being a point cheaper without the focus-burn penalty, there's not a lot of reason to go for the blaster (ever).

I would opt for either Dorsal or TLT on Palob. I know you'll be swimming in Focus tokens with the MindLink, but TLT is just plain stronger and Dorsal is more economical without the downside.

Otherwise I like it. Mindlink has been a lot of fun to play with, and the payoff is immense. Planning your moves and how you handle stress is a lot of fun for me, and it allows some ships to just not give a fuck and keep flying without bothering with greens (I'm looking at you, Sensor Jammer Guri). Manaroo with a Mindlik and Recce Spec is a good ship to try out sometime as well, she can load up a would-be target with more than enough focus tokens to see them through the turn!
>>
>>46460479
I originally had TLT but thought I might go for more firepower. I do agree that it's the better choice so I'll probably swap it back. Otherwise this list may have trouble vs ships that can stay at range 3.

MIND QUAD
>>
>>46459756
What's strong pornography worth without a strong lore to go with it? Nothing, that's what
>>
>>46461011
I remember that Oglaf comic.
>>
>>46460700
I think Kavil with Dorsal and Palob with TLT make a good combo.

Although interestingly enough, I have actually had a lot of success with Kavil, Unhinged, Engine Upgrade, and Autoblaster Turret. I'm not sure how it'd do in a Mindlink squadron, but it did pretty well when I gave him VI and had him flying around at PS 9.
>>
>>46461054
Back in the first days of wave 6 I used to run Kavil, Palob, and Guri. I never considered it a good squad but it really stomped nerds in casual play. VI, EU, Autoblaster Turret on Kavil was pretty great.
>>
>>46459661
Oh you poor fool.
I can see a Clone Wars era game working really well in F&D. Chronicles of the Gatekeeper has droidekas, F&D core has Magnaguards, EotE core has generic battle droids that are probably B1s.
>>
>>46461100
I find it funny how Palob, Kavil, and Guri are still solid pilots even after 2 waves. They never got the rave that brobots or TLT Y-spam got, but they have consistently been performing well in lists apart from each other, and have steadily been gaining more followers. There seems to have been a lot more fluctuation with other scum pilots, like Boba, Kath, Talonbane, Dace Bonearm, N'dru, or all the Scyks. But it seems like those three in particular have become lynchpins for any non-brobot Scum list.
>>
>>46461177
Don't forget Commando Droids.
>>
>>46461251
4 ship scum lists, often referred to as 'scum slurry' , were pretty awesome in wave 7. Whether or not they'll be hot shit in wave 8 remains to be seen but I think torp spam may be rough on them. I have a couple variants that I've used and I always seem to do well. I still think that Palob is one of the absolute best, overlooked pilot in the game. Shit, I was rocking torps with Drea way before guidance chips and people knew to fear her. TLT and Brobots got the internet's attention but scum slurry was where it was at.

>1. Imperial Raider, Is it any good in armada?
http://xwingtactics.blogspot.com/2015/11/commanders-guide-raider-class-corvette.html

Personally, I love the Raider's design... but I don't know how competitive it is. Casual play it's fun - it's an amazing anti-squadron ship. But I don't really feel like it's worth bringing for "competitive" lists. Feels like the points are better spent on the other Imperial ships and/or squadrons.

>2. The NK-7 Ion Cannon upgrade, when it says that target ship discards a defensive token does that mean it's gone for the rest of the game then?
Yes.

>and is it worth the point cost to include it?
It -can- be, but there are a lot of good Ion upgrades.
>>
If I'm interested in getting into X-Wing, how easy/costly would it be to put together a decent list using the Ghost?
>>
>>46461641
Fairly easily, you can load it up to be run solo easily enough.
>>
>>46461641
Honestly, pretty easy. All you would really need is the Ghost and a core set (TFA gets you Poe in his T-70, old Core gets you Luke, Biggs, and R2). You can easily make a competent list with either core set, and the Ghost. And much of that reason has to do with the Ghost being a good stand-alone kit with the Phantom included.

Other stuff could be added to customize it more, but it's mostly at your preference and whenever you'd feel like getting something. For example, Sabine (in shuttle) really likes Push the Limit (available in the A-Wing kit).
>>
>>46461641
You need the core set (MSRP ~40USD), either the old or new works pretty well but the new one has Poe Dameron, who's pretty hard to top. The ghost has a shitload of stuff and you can really fill up a lot of a 100 point list with just that (~50USD) box.

Just off the top of my head, a 100pt list with just the new core and ghost expansion might look something like this

>Poe Dameron w/ Predator, BB-8
>Lothal Rebel w/ Reinforced Deflectors, Dorsal Turret, Sabine, Thermal Detonator, Title
>Zeb Shuttle

You won't win any regional tournaments with this list but it'll do decently and be pretty fun to fly. Welcome to the hobby!
>>
>>46462183
>Poe Dameron, who's pretty hard to top

I do think his pilot skill should be 9, though. I mean, he was basically doing somersaults in TFA.
>>
>>46462494
While I'm not inclined to argue with you in terms of fluff, mechanics wise 8 seems about right for a balanced but strong t-70 pilot.
>>

>>

>>
>>46462494
I mean, he's pretty impressive, but the grognard in me hesitates to put him in the PS9 domain of such legends as Wedge "The All Corellian Face" Antilles and Soontir "The Baron" Fel just yet.
>>
>>46462494
To be fair, I don't think the FO has very good Pilots.
>>
>>46462762
Chronicles of the Gatekeeper
>>
>>46462861

Makes sense, they don't have an imperial academy to draw from any more. Without quality recruits, the TIE/ln is a total deathtrap, no wonder they beefed up the /fo model and added tons of shit to it. In fact, without the same level of production facilities, churning out thousands of TIEs is no longer feasible either, so they had to shift to quality ships. But yeah, I think the First Order pilots only netted something like four kills, in their home space with pretty much all of the advantages. They are looking pretty shit so far. Might do better if Kylo or one of the other Knights of Ren grow a pair and go out to lead a flight.
>>
>>46462494
I feel that's pretty well represented with 8 PS, Boost, his "free-focus focus", and BB-8. 8 is a solid PS level, and represents a lot of the best pilots in the game as being above the vast majority. It has notable names like Wes Jansen, Tycho, Luke, Juno Eclipse, Jan Ors, "Howlrunner", and Ten Numb. While PS 7 tends to represent the "pretty exceptional" pilots who aren't quite up to that level. Like Prince Xizor, Turr Phenir, Bossk, Zuckus, Keyan Farlander -AND- Marek Steele (both of which are the player in the X-Wing and Tie Fighter games), and Hera.

The mistake is assuming that 9 is where a "good" pilot needs to be. PS 9 is someone of exceptional veteran status. Like the dark fucking lord of the Sith. Wedge goddamned Antilles, who survived 2 Death Star runs. Han Solo, the scoundrel who evaded an Imperial blockade despite having a broken hyperdrive, and led them on a merry chase through an asteroid belt. Dengar, one of the most successful and ruthless bounty hunters in the galaxy. The baron Soontir fucking Fel, who turned the shittiest fighter squadron into one of the best. And some random "Dread Pirate Rogers" guy from Black Sun that every noob in Tansari Point had to bring down.

Seriously though, the only one I have a problem with is Talonbane... He's not really deserving of PS 9.

>Fast as hell and nimble, with ordinance, shields, and a hyperdrive.

TIE/fs (First Strike) The fighters they launch ahead of an invasion fleet to clear fighter screens and soften up defenses for their few remaining large ships to sweep up. Achilles heel similar to the A-wing, in that the responsiveness and speed is too much for the raw recruits to handle, which is why they've been in mothballs through all of VII until they picked up(or cloned) enough veterans to fly them.

>>1. Imperial Raider, Is it any good in armada?
Eh, like others have said, it's great at tying up enemy fighters(especially with the Instigator title), but not much else.
And if they're running a bomber-heavy load of fighters, it won't last long in those sorts of engagements.
I had one killed in a single round by my opponent just piling on the B-wings and X-wings.
I'd rather just run more TIE Fighters.
Lots more TIE Fighters.

3x Green Squadron Pilot A-Wings (60)
Chardaan Refit
Push the Limit

Bandit Pilot Squadron Pilot (17)
Assault Missiles

Lieutenant Blount (23)
Munitions Failsafe
Assault Missiles

Wanting to use the Headhunters for missiles and against swarms if needed, and the 3 A-Wings to block and get in close to shoot shit up. Not sure if I should just go for all A-Wings or all Z-95s, but right now this is playing with what I've got. Plus I like variety.

first off, there's never any harm in loading on guidance chips if you're not taking an alternate loadout. if you're running missile armed z-95s you gotta increase your chances.

As to the list themselves, it could work but I'm not a huge fan of PTL on pilots that can't deal with the stress effectively and don't have useful double movement skill bars. Cutting the 3 ptls and replacing Bount's munitions failsafe for a guidance chip would give you 10 points, and downgrading to prototype A-wing pilots would give you another 6 points, letting you pack in either a 4th prototype pilot with chardaan refit or upgrading Lieutenant Blount with Crack shot and the other Z-95 to Cracken who should work very interestingly with A-wings in the vicinity.

I know I need the Victory Class expansion for some of the upgrades in it, and I know that my fleet needs more star destroyers aesthetically (and Imps are too expensive)...

But for some reason I'm -really- reluctant to spend the money on it. I'd rather pick up another Gladiator or Raider or even another Rogues and Villains.
>>
>>46468420
I'll review them every so often, but list posting sometimes consists of just an off-site link to your list, which is basically the most obnoxious way to ask someone else to spend their time on your shit.
>>
>>46469291
I hope you're ordering from Amazon, they're still on sale there.
Get the Imp. It's worth it.
If you do get an Imp, run a Viccy 1 with it as an Imp 2.
Tons of blue dice from the Imp, lots of black dice from the Vic(especially with Expanded Launchers).
And Imp 2 + X17 Turbolasers will ruin anyone's day with a frontal cone attack. You have enough blue dice to all but guarantee at least one Accuracy roll and can just about always keep any opponent's Brace out of play. Meaning they have to eat a whole bunch of damage on that one face.

I already have 1 Imp. I'm thinking the Vic expansion is probably a better idea than a second Imp, for now.

Currently I own:
> Base Game (1 VSD)
> ISD Expanion
> Gladiator Expansion
> Raider Expansion
> 2x Imp Squadrons Expansions
> 1x Rogues and Villains

And on the Rebels side (because of course I'm doing both, like an idiot with more money than I actually have):
> Base Game (1 NebB, 1 Corvette)
> NebB Expansion
> Assault Frigate Expansion
> Home 1 Expansion
> 2x Reb Squadron Expansions
> 1x Rogues and Villains

There are some upgrades that I need from the VSD expansion pack, and I figure I'm more likely to actually use two VSDs than two ISDs most of the time. Especially given how heavily I favor squadrons (mostly just "for fun").

Actually, now that I mention it: Any suggestions for more solid squadron-heavy fleet lists (for either side, really)?

I like that Drea loadout. I might have to steal that.

Otherwise, N'dru was made for Lone Wolf, since you'll be trying to keep him on his own anyways. And to get the most of his ability, cluster missiles and glitterstim are where it's really at (but thatms a bit more).

IMO, Dengar doesn't need Gonk unless you're taking Unhinged and Experimental Interface. And that makes him expensive, quick. Otherwise, go with K4 or someone like Boba, or Bossk.

A DM put the group of players I'm in through a plane shifting campaign. You know what that means, Star Wars. I was a bit of a battle sorcerer (arcane variant swordsage abusing fell drain & with energy substitution cold, broken as shit, he didn't care), and he said that my use of magic (mirror image, flickering out of reality to walk through walls, life draining cold) was consistent with sith sorcery. Is that accurate? The ancient sith are weird

There's this thread. I love JRRP's entry; simple, but properly represents his raw power.

I've never believed in 'if you stat it, they can kill it'. No they can't. You didn't stat it properly, or it's not as strong as you'd like to think. If you really don't want it to be killed, give it better stats.
>>

If I ever threw Vader at my players, I would give him stats until they actually manage to inflict wounds on him. Then the stats go away because he's no longer interested in testing them for shits and giggles, and that's the PC's sign that maybe they should run. After that, people getting maimed is a best case scenario.

The question is moot in my case though since I personally would never throw Vader at my players. I like my players. They buy me pizza.
>>
Hey guys, I joined an escalation league for X-Wing. 1st rounds are at 60 points. Should I play Rebels or Empire? I am very new to the game, just got into it. You need to keep the same ships throughout the whole thing so I was thinking either 1 X-wing, 1 Y-wing, 1 A-wing, or 2 TIE/fo, 1 TIE and 1 Inquisitor. Thoughts?
>>
looking through the crafting tables from special modifications, how would you go about crafting an energy shield like the shield gauntlets or the gungan personal shields?

Use the shield basic stat profile but the powered melee weapon template?
>>
>>46473767
Imperials are better at escalation. Rebel aces are generally too point-expensive to squeeze into the 30 point increases where Imperials fit in well.

Is there any canon (Legends is fine) example of severed limbs being restored by Force healing? I've been daydreaming about my Battlemaster wannabe getting both his arms cut off in a duel and, rather than going for prosthetics, he ditches his 24/7 Lightsaber training regimen to study Force healing full-time and become so good with it that he heals them back. JumpMaster 5000 (33), Predator (3), 4-LOM (1), Punishing One (12), Engine Upgrade (4)

>>
>>46478304

>>
>>46478349
It's pretty lame
I get that they are the real "main character" of the story, but still, it's a rpg, you should be able to do anything, even dwarf palpatine and become the new emperor if you want too.

I prefer very high stats that represent strenght and special talents, etc than something like that. It feels cheap.
>>
>>46478383
B needs HLC, Mangler doesn't throw enough dice to punch through high agility. HLC, crack shot, FCS, glitter, autothrusters is the scariest IG build. Pick one ship and fuck it up.

To make room for the 50 point bot, Dengar can go Lone Wolf and Recon Specialist plus title. Makes him very reliable.

So, what do you guys think Rahm Kota was doing 5 years after the end of the Clone Wars? He's got a Cruiser, likely a Venator or equivalent, a Militia and a deep seated grudge against the Empire.
>>
>>46479411
Well he has to lose the cruiser at some point so probably hit and fades on convoys. At one point he'll jump in on a convoy too big for him, Venator will take a hit and his choices will be jump and scuttle the ship or try to take the imp star that damned his ship. He jumps, but always wonder where that imp convoy was heading and whether he would have stopped an atrocity if he stood and fight.
>>
>>46479587
When do you think he got in contact with Mon Mothma and Bail Organa?
>>
>>46479609
I wouldn't be surprised if they met him before the fall of the republic. They seem to see real good in him, and his refusal to use clones probably looked a little more noble to senators like organa and Mon Mothma.

After the fall he might have run into them during a hit or fade, where they were one of the ships he hopped into system on and they contacted him about being small rebels themselves.

So, first off if you guys have any ideas on meditation foci instead of a generic amulet or something it'd be a big help.

Also in the core book it doesn't say much in terms of mechanical benefits of a focus so are there any homebrewed ideas to make it more prevelant in some situations?
>>
I finally ran FaD last night guys!

The players made five unserious characters, we didn't have the EotE book to hand so the Rhodian was a refluffed Human and everyone was a force sensitive smuggler (aside from the force sensitive who thinks the force is a myth). The players started out on their ship and in possession of a number of stone tablets they procured for a collector from an ancient jedi temple. They were pursued by an Inquisitor and four stormtroopers who boarded them and slapped their shit. The players managed to survive by venting their entire ship and making a hyperspace jump. yay!

The original Declaration of Rebellion from the Farlander Papers didn't reveal any named signatories. TFU's Corellian Treaty included Bail Organa, Garm Bel Iblis, Mon Mothma, Rahm Kota, and Starkiller. Padme is also occasionally thrown in as a founding member. Carlist Rieekan also refused to accept the New Order and joined the Rebellion early on.

Aside from that, it's pretty open aside from those who were confirmed to join after Mon Mothma sent out the first invites or after the two Rebellion treaties.

The good parts of star wars' golden age are one of two things
1. The movie Empire Strikes Back
2. whatever you consumed between the ages of 12 and 17

There are parts of the EU that hold up better than the others in retrospect, but the best of the best is still real bad by any adult standards

There is a reason you like the new stuff less than the old, and it is not 'the people writing licensed fan fiction suck more these days'

The whole point of new star wars is that to cling to the old for the sake of its oldness is a fool's game.

Depend on your campaign, really. Is there a lot of travel and exploration? Do you spend a lot of time in space? Prioritize Ace and take powers like seek and enhance, which will, well, enhance that part of the game.
Are you spending a lot of time in tombs, haunted woods or anything that implies a dungeon? Prioritize your combat skills and try to get quick draw and jump up.
Is there a lot of social encounters and your party doesn't have a face? Influence and misdirect.
Also, if you want to be the designated pilot you don't really have to buy into a second career at game start. I'd just start off with hunter and 5 agility, and buy anything else later, depending on the campaign.

I disagree. The 1990s and Bantam era were the best time period for the franchise based on the high points they hit during those years.

>WEG
>Thrawn
>X-Wing comics, books, vidya
>The start of the Dark Forces saga
>TIE Fighter
>Rogue Squadron 1
>Starfighters of Adumar

WEG and Thrawn kickstarted the entire Legends EU and their influence is still felt in nucanon (planets, starships, the name "Coruscant," to name a few). The flight sims and Dark Forces are still the best vidya to hit the franchise, too.

Nucanon has some great stuff. A New Dawn, Rebels, some of the comics, and Finn and Poe are welcome additions to the franchise. The FFG era is the best time to be a tabletop fan. Still, in terms of writing quality and influence, nothing has come close to the Zahn-Allston-Stackpole trinity.

I recently re-read the X-Wing and Wraith series. Holy hell, they were garbage. Entertaining garbage, yes, but very much babbies first scifi. Characters with about as much depth as a kiddie pool, plots that I would have slapped my GM if he threw at us, 90% of the villains being godawful, and most of the rest being noble ignorants just waiting to defect to the good guys...shit, the only reason people like Thrawn is because he was literally the only Imperial that was competant, nonevil, and didn't defect to the "good guys."

I'm GM'ing a jedi campaign with FFG. Its set post order 66 but prior to episode 4. None of the players have lightsabers but one of them has still invested heavily into reflect abilities regardless. He's asked if there's a way for him to use reflect without a lightsaber.
Should I tell him he's out of luck and its his fault for dumping xp into stuff he can use (yet?) Are there rules in FFG regarding Tutaminis and should I let this mostly self taught jedi use it?

Some force-users can reflect blaster bolts with the force, for example Jedi Jesus.
>>
>>46488358
If he's actually holding some kind of melee weapon that a blaster bolt wouldn't obliterate I say give it to him.

If he wants to actually redirect the shots at someone that's where you can draw the line, but I think the image of a Jedi smacking blaster bolts with a sword or reinforced staff and producing an explosion of sparks every time is rad as hell.

Alternatively they buy vambraces and just go full Wonder Woman.

It's a good thing critics are usually full of shit then with regards to "fun".

Ya know, the thing I paid for...

If they think I bought a ticket to see TFA for deadpool or the force awakens to hear a lecture on identity politics in post-third wave feminism or a lecture on the impact of colonialism on African farming practices they are gravely, sorely mistaken.

Currently setting up a Star Wars Saga Edition RP session and someone really wanted to play a Xexto. Since there are no official rules for a Xexto character, I let him make some. They look fine to me, but i'd feel much happier if you guys broke them and told me how exploitable they can potentially be:

Xexto:

Species Traits:
Xexto share the following Species Traits:

Ability Modifiers:
DEX +2, STR -2, WIS -2,

Medium Sized:
Receive no bonus’ or penalties for their size.

Speed:
Have a Base Speed of 6 squares

Additional Arms:
Xexto’s key defining trait is their 6 arms (two used as legs). With their additional arms, they make some of the Galaxies greatest pilots and mechanics. Naturally, they are able to utilize these to great effect. They may re-roll failed Pilot and Climb checks (The second result must be kept, even if worse.) They may also utilize up to 2 additional 1-handed items, even if they are holding a 2-handed item. If sat, they may utilize up to 4 additional items instead of 2.

Racial skills:
Xexto’s, regardless of class, add the following to their optional starting skills: Pilot, Mechanics and Climb

Racial Feats:
Xexto’s, regardless of class, add the following to their optional feats: Skill Focus – Pilot, Skill Focus – Mechanics and Skill Focus – Climb.

Natural Languages:
Xextese and Basic

I'm pretty sure none of them went into TFA or Deadpool expecting a lecture or gender politics.

F&D Warrior player here, looking for a way to defeat a Bind-happy enemy on the party's trail. Can somebody tell me the exact details of how Immobilized works? I assume I can't just use my action as a manoeuvre to move towards the enemy, but what if I have Force Leap? That's an action. Can I use that to close in despite being Immobilized by Bind? It sounds kind of stupid but then I sort of see it working as the Jedi is held in place but can still mentally propel himself or whatever.

That's not Tycho, Tycho was in the A-Wing that went in before the falcon and didn't have a pilot shown.
>>
>>46491557
It's not, due to a dodgy e-mail response. But even so, that's not why you take EI with Gonk. Gonk burns an action, so you take a normal action (Barrel Roll, Focus, Target Lock), and use EI to Gonk when you need to.

Right? I knew it was awfully familiar to my ears.

Now I need to hunt down that VHS, idgaf how campy that cartoon was, they need to do more little miniseries things like that, like a Tales of the Jedi cartoon series.

The franchise in general could do with another injection of camp. Nucanon so far is too safe. It lacks soul. We need someone to go balls-to-the-wall full retard and make a movie that incorporates the cheesiest, silliest things from Legends.

Bad. Why don't Vader and the Inquisitors have elite talents? Scrap the concussion on Vader and give them both something. PtL on the Inquisitor and the 1 point EPT of your choice on Vader (most of them are great on him).

Also TC is a waste on Turr. You'll be using PtL after you attack 90% of the time. Find the points for a stealth device.

What we need is more oversized doomsday weapons, trenchruns and aces in customized or prototype starfighters
>>
A player in one of my campaigns has expressed interest in crafting more mundane weapons that use the ligthsaber skill.

Looking at the crafting rules from special modifications, I'm thinking of letting him use the Bladed and powered melee weapon templates to craft weapons that use the ligthsaber skill, with an increase to the difficulty of the template.

Does this seem reasonable?

The sequel trilogy seems to be perfectly on board with the "oversized" part. What's really lacking is creative superweapons. Starkiller Base was boring compared to the batshit crazy stuff from Legends.
